People waiting in line say the darndest things!

I love Chicken Dale!!!!!!!!!!

When my DD was 4, she rode Test Track for the very first time. She did not yell or scream, but the look of stress on her poor face was awful. When she got off, she promptly said, "Stupid Car!!!" and walked away mad.

That must be a 4 yr old saying (stupid). Me & ds #2 (4 at the time) were taking a walk on our street one spring day & we were watching where we stepped b/c the caterpillars were on the sidewalks. Well he stepped on one & killed it. He stopped and looked at it for a long time then finally said "stupid caterpillar" then walked away. I was cracking up.

I am an elementary special ed teacher (grades k-4) and on one of the tests we administer asks how many dwarfs did Snow White see/meet at the cottage? I would say maybe 1 out of every 10 kids gets it correct! Sad! That kids today, girls and boys, do not know Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs!!

You teach it to them first, right? I mean...I'm 40 and we own the movie and I've still never ever watched it. Surely wouldn't expect school to be testing on movies or other cartoons...

Of topic but this is pretty funny. A yogurt commercial, Dannon I think, has a mom that says "isn't it amazing how fast kids are growing up these days." Did they grow alot slower 50 years ago? Did it take 10 years to reach the height of a 5 year old of today?

:rotfl:

My mom married at 17; she'd been dating him (my dad) since she was 15...I'm pretty sure she grew up MUCH faster than I did! And her mom left the house at 17 as well.

in 2006, my very quiet middle child 6 years old at the time had this conversation in line at the Jungle Cruise.

A Cast member from Tennessee noticed that he and his brother were wearing Cars shirts and struck up a conversation with them.

He asked each of them who their favorite character was in cars.

DS3 says: Lightning
DS2 says: Mater

CM: Says Mater is my favorite also.

DS2: Well he should be you look like him.
CM has no reply
DS2: You sound like him also...

In all honesty if any character has ever been modeled after someone Mater was a dead ringer for this guy, down to the teeth and eyes...

This was May 2008 at EPCOT just at rope drop. Everyone was heading to Soarin' and this mom says to her daughter
"Marlena, Marlena, Keep up. Go faster. Don't let everyone pass you. They are passing you! Marlena!"

Marlena was about six!

I felt bad for her, but now everytime we see people rushing anywhere with their kids DH and have to say "MAR----LEN---A!"

Maybe PP is referring to the fairy tale version collected by the Brothers Grimm? :confused3

I haven't finished reading this thread yet, but I can't stop laughing at this one!

I've read this 3 times now & I'm still cracking up. I'm actually having a coughing attack here at work b/c I'm laughing too much.

Reminds me of my dad when I was in high school. My mom & I told him that BTMRR was just a train ride. During the whole ride all he kept saying was "son of a b*^ch, son of a b*^th, son of a b*^th". My mom & I laughed the whole ride. I told my kids this story while we were in line for the ride the last time we were there and they were cracking up. To this day, my dad remembers that ride.

Oh crap, I quoted the wrong quote up top! Doesn't seem too funny now.

When on a roller coaster that is pulled up a hill and has nervous passengers will say to his companion in a loud voice; "isn't this the hill where the other roller coaster fell off"

HILARIOUS!!!! i will have to try that one!

Last Sept ...we got off the plane in Orlando and of course everyone heads to the bathroom. I stood there and waited with the luggage. Over the Orlando airport loudspeaker, I hear "Olie Fagina" "Olie Fagina please come the information counter. My son (8) comes out the of the bathroom laughing really hard....I asked him what he was laughing at...he said did you hear who they asked for....I said yes i did...I got him calmed down enough to see my wife come out of the women's bathroom laughing...they are two pees in a pod

This made me crack up!!! My daughter was 4 (a few days shy of 5) when I convinced her to go on TOT. I explained what it did and she was okay with the drops. On it, I was watching her the whole time and she sat there with wide eyes-no noise, nothing other than HUGE eyes. When we got off I asked her how she liked it and she said "It's apparent SOMEBODY doesn't love their daughter" Even funnier, an hour later she wanted to go on it again and it is now her favorite ride.

Last year, as we were getting on EE, a couple of guys, early 20s were being really macho about the ride. "This looks lame", etc. They looked at my 9 year old and said "great, it's a kid's ride." I said "yeah, it definitely doesn't go upside down" ;)

They were put in the front seat. SCREAMED like little girls the whole time. "AAAHHHH. No way, No way. O sh----, the track broke. We're going backwards. WT____ What was that, what was that, sh---, sh---, sh--"

We got off, he looked at me and my daughter with a VERY pale face, and said "You are a brave kid. That scared the sh-- out of me"

Hubby and I were staying at AKL and standing on our balcony looking at the animals. We heard someone next door come out onto their balcony (couldn't see them) and pass gas LOUDLY! We started silently giggling. A minute later the wife comes out, states "God, these animals just stink!", and husband innocently replies "Yeah, I know"! We couldn't handle it and had to run into our room laughing. That was 7 years ago and we still having laughing fits remembering it!:rotfl:

OMG I near fell off my chair - that is hilarious we have someone at work that does things like that we call him the crop duster :rotfl:

These are SO cute! A few years ago, my oldest daughter insisted that the lion from JoJo's circus is name Golion. No matter how many times I explained to her that his name is Goliath, but it is hard to hear the pronunciation of the -th at the end, she wouldn't believe me. She insisted, "Mom, that doesn't make any sense. He is a lion. His name is Golion. It's like they're saying, 'Go, lion!'" Cracked me up. There was no convincing her otherwise!

Both my DD's call him Golion. We've also tried to tell them that its Goliath but they don't want to hear it. DH and I just go along with it now and call him Golion to.

HAHA! Hilarious! :rotfl2:

This wasn't from line, but from my kids.

Son 1 " Mom, how old is MIckey mouse?"
Me "He's close to 80 years old"
Son 1 "Whoa! He looks great, he must be taking suppliments."
**
Son 2 on Test track was scared of the weirdest part!
" I don't want to be burned, I don't want to be burned. Ahhh, I don't want to be frozen I don't want to be frozen."

This is for all you Spanish speakers on the DIS.

My grandmother calls Pocahontas "Pocas Chanclas". She DOES walk around barefoot all the time.

LOL!!!!:rotfl2:My DD has been reading this thread and she will love this one!

This is not something I overheard in line but rather said by my DW. Back in '06 we went to WDW with a friend and her grandson. He was a huge fan of the "big" rides. On the morning we were at RD at Epicot we decided to go right over and ride MS first thing. Now we had ridden this with our DDs in '04 and they both opted to sit this one out. Turns out we were the first people in line when the ride opened and were so excited we decided to go for it and do the original spinning ride. When we were finished I didn't think it was as bad as I had remembered and turned and asked My DW what her take on it was. Now, this is a line we repete on every ride from ISW to MS to this day. My wife looked at me very seriously and said... "My face hurt and I cried the whole time, but it really wasn't that bad!!":rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

mi brother in law put his seatbelt in Soaring with the yellow strap between the leggs that is supposed to be only for little ones. He saw the guy showing how to put it but did not understand it was not for adults.

When we told him it was too late to take it out. We laughed at him, he was so tight up all the ride long (and so ridiculous).

That would have been a priceless picture! :lmao:

This happened on our last family trip. We went to GF to eat at 1900 Park Fare. My DSIL (11) as we were walking around takes a big whiff of air and says... "Wow, this place smells expensive!" It made us crack up and we love telling this story!

I feel that way at the Yacht and Beach Club!:lmao:
