Peeps 2. The Sweaty Asian Strikes Back. Pt 2. Feb '10. 2/21-Final Chapter. Link to TR

sorry, I like answering folks individually instead of multi quoting-more personal that way.

I agree that the TR will write itself....I wonder what kind of magnet I'll be this time.:rolleyes1;)

Lol. Ummm...a dancing magnet? ;)

You'll probably be the Hot Sweaty Asian magnet! :lmao:

:thumbsup2

You've been busy at work...of course you're tired. Silly! I used to pack a day or two before taking a trip. No with a 2 year old to take as well, I start packing at least 5 days prior. It's a lot of work taking kids with you. :D

Wow. 1977...I wasn't even a twinkle in my parents eyes. Heck...my mom was just graduation high school in 77. And hadn't yet moved to Texas and met my dad. :rolleyes1 ;)

Tim, were you even born yet??!!

I'm a 67er, and I think you were probably a fair amount after that.
Weather is so fickle. Now it says chance of rain ALL week or at least Tuesday-Saturday. Go figure...I'm just going with the flow.

I'm with Liesa. I'm thinking you weren't even born yet....

I can not wait.

Whatever the weather.... you'll be in WDW!!!!!!!

It depends what month in 1977..... I was born in November 1977. ;) I can't say I remember that year too well though. :sad2:

Ahh, the ruffled shirt and the Gunne Sax dress. You guys were the height of fashion!

I almost got the baby blue tux....it was more expensive though....:rolleyes1

I remember asking a cheerleader to go to the dance, but she went with the quarterback. I was a bit devastated, but Adria was a GREAT friend and we had a good time.

Bess Dorlis was her name.....We were great friends.....oh to be young again.

I think the shoes are FAB and perfectly fine. Hmph!

It's not like they are obnoxious colors, have graffiti all over them or are trying too hard to be a "kid" brand. Now if they were Ed Hardy's....

Actually The kids seems to do either DC's, Vans or Nike's.

Funny kid story for you on the shoes. Evan got some xmas money and really wanted to buy shoes. I wasn't chipping in, he had $30 and not a penny more. He has expensive taste and falls into the "too big and cool for the little kid stuff" but "too small to fit into the big kid stuff". It's a pain, 5th and 6th grade until the kids get big enough to shop at the teen stores.

At any rate. We looked online. Went to EVERY store in the mall. What little he did even like and came in his size was way over his budget. On the way out I suggested Penney's. He looked at me like I had 3 heads.

"Penney's? Who shops at Penney's? They won't have anything."

And I'm like, Dude. When I was your age I got my very first pair of Nikes at Penney's. You never know. Give it a shot.

Sure 'nuff. Great selection of Vans and Nikes in his size and price range.

So kudos to you for being open to Nordstrom. Pumas are classic! And not something I think of as a kid brand at all.

I will go to Nordstrom's if I'm thinking casual dress shoe. I just never thought to look for sneakers there. I'm glad I waited to buy shoes. On Zappos, nothing ever said "BUY ME".

I don't think I've shopped at JC Penney's since my mom bought my chonies there. Target and Kohls? That's a different story:)

I loved my Gunne Sack!!! Loved IT!! I think I had to beg about a year to get it.

I never had an official Gunne Sax. I did make a skirt from a Gunne Sax pattern though that I LOVED.

I did get a Jessica McClintock for a dance in HS though...boy did I think I was something!

It'll be a new experience to have rain on our trip. We've had rain a few times, but not every day. I'm up for the challenge.

I was a sophmore in HS in November of 1977 and learning to drive........

it only rained twice last year, sprinkles one night during Epcot EMH and then poured overnight. Poncho's didn't even come out! Crossing my fingers for you on the rain.

Hey Jordan!

Just wanted to wish you a wonderful vacation full of relaxation and good times!

I was six. :rolleyes1

Dude, I'm WAY behind. On my day job, I'm cataloging 5000 old trouble tickets and at the church, it's been off the chain. We had one of he staff pastors take a position with another church and we've started rehearsals for the Easter muscial. (The grand poo-bah production of the year.) SOOOO, whatever free time I used to have has been obliterated.

I don't know if I will get a chance to wish you farewell before you leave, but if not, have a great trip, enjoy your time, take lots of photos, have lots of laughs, don't sweat the small stuff and remember: It's all small stuff.

God bless my friend!
