Peeps 2. The Sweaty Asian Strikes Back. Pt 2. Feb '10. 2/21-Final Chapter. Link to TR

it only rained twice last year, sprinkles one night during Epcot EMH and then poured overnight. Poncho's didn't even come out! Crossing my fingers for you on the rain.

That's what I'm hoping for. It's only reading 30% chance right now.

I care, but I can live with rain.....

Yowza, Gunne Sax and Jessica McClintock!!! That brings back memories. ::yes::

Anyway - just popping in to say all clothes are packed (however may be tweaked a little bit still), and now just have to do toiletries and other misc stuff... my carryon and survival kit for the plane (toys for Ashlyn, snacks, etc.). Tickets all bought, tags arrived, rides arranged... :thumbsup2

Tomorrow's my last day at work, then we have small group tomorrow night and then off Friday to get the girls' hair cuts, attend a birthday party, Erin's piano skills test, and then home to finish packing and get the kids to bed early (yeah, right... who can sleep the night before a trip?). So, I'll be scrambling til the very end as usual. But that will make our arrival there just that much more anticipated, right?

Health note: kids have all been sick last week and this... but Dylan's mostly better (he had it first), and Erin's got an ear infection which she's taking meds for and is on the mend, and Ashlyn is still runny nose but otherwise ok. Coughs all around but not as bad as last week. Praying for enough healing for a decent plane ride and hopefully ok weather so as not to make them worse as we trek them around in the rain for the sake of vacation. Ha ha ha ha.

Dad update: doing well - trying to eat enough and drink enough - energy level is same old, same old - but starting to lose hair (so I guess that's going to happen this time around - he didn't lose hair in 2003 when he had chemo last). Next round of chemo will be next week so at least they don't have kid duty all next week when we're gone.

Ok, back to work. Maybe next post will be from WDW! :woohoo:

Well I just wanna say Have a great and magical trip! I will probably be running around too much the next few days before you leave and wanted to make sure to wish you a good trip.

Are you gonna start a TR before you go 'cause this one's bound to make it to 250 soon!

Say Hi to Mickey for me!

Hi, Jordan!

I'm not too much of a pre-trip kinda' gal, but for you....exceptions are made.

I hope you have a peep-a-delic, funkalicious, flat-to-4-d, tongue hanging, toe tapping, belly-laughing good time.

And, for the record, I'd like to call for 3 visits to ESPN, only drinking twice. (Who is keeping the list of people's predictions?)

Have a FABULOUS time!

Mrs. Spratt

Hey Jordan! Just stopping by to say that I hope you have a wonderful trip!! "See" ya when you get back! :goodvibes

ETA: I was going to jump in on the '77 conversation....but that was a few years before my time. ;)

Julia

thanks for the good wishes!:)

Um...I guess you guys may need to start calling me the elder statesman of the DIS.

Let's see - 1977 - I was in preschool :goodvibes

The packing will come together - don't stress! Two days :woohoo:

I would like to say don't think of it as rain think of it as a shower bring soap and that might help with the sweaty thing :lmao: Besides the great thing about rain in FL is wait ten minutes and it usually stops. The second greatest thing is it thins out the crowd as apparently most people melt in the rain, not me cause I am not nearly that sweet:rolleyes1 but the way most people freak out in the rain, melting must be the norm:confused3

At least you were born...:rotfl2::rotfl2:

I am not overly stressed. I am off at 2pm today so as soon as I'm off. It's home to get stuff organized.:thumbsup2

Thanks for the updates, Wendy. I was just going to ask Jordan about his uncle/your dad. You might want to suggest to your mom that she pick up some protein powder from the health food store and mix it into some of your dad's food to pack more nutritional punch in each bite since he's eating less. :thumbsup2

Sounds like the kids will be over their colds/ear infections by vacation... so much better than them getting sick when you're down there! (Believe me, I know!)

Have a wonderful time!! pixiedust:

Ya got that right!!! :woohoo: Night Fever, Night Fever....

Saturday Night Fever. It came out in 1977. My friends and I went with my brother and they wouldn't let us in because it was rated R.

Loved the music.....clothes back then loved it...looking back...not so much...

My parents actually TOOK us to see it! We were 10 and 8!!:scared1:

NOT for kids!! I'd never let my kids see that! I don't know WHAT they were thinking. :confused3

Dude, I'm WAY behind. On my day job, I'm cataloging 5000 old trouble tickets and at the church, it's been off the chain. We had one of he staff pastors take a position with another church and we've started rehearsals for the Easter muscial. (The grand poo-bah production of the year.) SOOOO, whatever free time I used to have has been obliterated.

I don't know if I will get a chance to wish you farewell before you leave, but if not, have a great trip, enjoy your time, take lots of photos, have lots of laughs, don't sweat the small stuff and remember: It's all small stuff.

God bless my friend!

I don't envy you, but I COMPLETELY understand. Although today, I'm having a hard time concentrating.....

Hope we get one more chance to chat before I leave.
