PCR Test requirement return to Canada question??

Exactly. If they don't eliminate it entirely then it's just moving around deck chairs. Yes, the PCR costs more, but for us it's not really the cost (although the cost is a pain) as much as it is the stress that it puts on the trip. You still have to book a test and waste part of your vacay time getting it done (then stressing over the results). We bought the Switch RT LAMP tests through Air Canada to try in March, as our last experience at WDW with testing was a debacle. The original intent of keeping the virus out of Canada is long behind us. Here in Ontario there will be zero restrictions etc. by then. No passports required, no tests, and so on. So why are we having to test to fly home? Doesn't make sense anymore to me.
Gotta agree there. Most provinces are moving to having NO covid restrictions at all anymore by like mid March. (March 1 for showing proof of vaccination and March 15 for no more masks in Manitoba). Maybe they'll review it again after that? I feel like they're waiting for the US to remove having to have a negative antigen test to fly there before Canada will do it here. (for whatever reason...)

Lately it seems like Canada isn't making any move until the US does it first.
By that logic you could drive home with no test. Americans and vaxxed Canadians can drive into the US with no test, and that has always been the case: If you're allowed to drive over the border into the US, you haven't needed a test for the entirety of the pandemic.

Yeah this would be the one time they aren't doing the same thing.
