Paying cash for DDP?

I'm not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm wondering:

Can you pay cash at reception when you arrive for the Disney Dining Plan?

of course...I do think you need to leave a credit card imprint though for charging priviledges to the room

You pay for the DDP at the resort when you check in. They accept cash, check, or credit card.

I knew that you needed a credit card for the incidentals; however, I didn't want the DDP on my credit card because I already budgeted for it in cash. I hate getting a big VISA bill after a trip lol
