Palo Dinner Then Prima Notte?

My wife and I have a week on Disney Treasure this coming October. It will be our first Halloween cruise, our first cruise as a couple since 2007 (had a few family underways in-between), and our first cruise on a Triton-class ship. As we recently achieved Gold status, I was in the drivers seat for our midnight bookingpalooza. I got what we wanted, if not exactly on the times/days we wanted (because I was speeding through!). I'm not interested in cancelling to try and see if other (slightly more desirable) times/days are available; better the bird in the hand than in the bush!

We have a Palo dinner 6:30 and Prima Notte in Palo at 8:30 on Day One. I'm thrilled I have them both, but Prima Notte is the priority - we've never done that! It's been years since I ate Palo, but I don't remember leaving there hungry. Has anyone else ever done those back-to-back (in that order) and found that it worked? I'm perfectly open to cancelling Palo Dinner if they wouldn't work together in that order. I do have brunch later in the week at Palo, so we will get a meal there regardless. If experienced cruisers can tell us that those two events work together, we'll keep the dinner. Thank you in advance!

I haven’t done this combination myself, but can’t imagine doing a Palo dinner and then following that with Prima Notte. I don’t think I would enjoy the second experience at all because of being too full.
I agree. We went to our assigned dining room prior to Prima Notte and had an appetizer and salad and found that to be perfect for us. A full three or four course dinner before would be way too much to enjoy the experience, at least for us!

I agree with this approach. Since DW doesn’t drink alcohol, I booked Prima Notte as a solo. Since we do main dining, I joined her for dinner in our MDR, choosing appetizer and soup, then enjoyed the full Prima Notte food and wine tasting experience in Palo later. I would do that again.

My husband and I did Prima Notte before dinner in the main dining room, so I don't have personal experience with combining 2 Palo visits. However, I would not recommend having a Palo dinner right before Prima Notte unless there is a particular appetizer or entree that you really want to have at Palo and you can't get a dinner reservation any other night, or if you have late dining and can't get a Prima Notte reservation before dinner. In those cases, you could stick to just 1 or 2 courses for dinner at Palo.

I would not do them together. I was miserable full after a Palo dinner- no way I could drink.

I would cancel the Palo dinner. If you really want a Palo dinner I think there is a very good chance you get book it on a different night onboard. (Or something else will pop up as people cancel prior to boarding as well.)

Sounds like a consensus, and consistent with what I expected. I like the idea of grabbing an app/salad in our dining room and then skedaddling to Palo. Thank you!
