Our un-magical Day

"people with four children are rarely on time" -- considering the tone of your post, it is not surprising that you are rarely on time, The world should revolve around your family, so if you are late, they should still cater to you, after all you showed up, they should be thrilled.

Most parents I know with 3 or more children are rarely LATE -- so you, obviously don't know how to plan appropriately.

yeah, as a mom of three myself, this one got to me.

Not giving themselves enough time to get to an ADR was also an issue in 2003 when only 2 children were involved.

Best. Thread. Ever.

Can we get a sticky on this please? I think it should be saved for generations to come. An instant classic!!!

Sooooo..... I was scrolling down the main forum page on my way to the Community board when I saw the red frowny face and paused for a peek.

That's funny, because that's exactly how I found it. ;) Since I don't have kids, I don't normally read this forum.

4 other sites and this message board as well as another big disney message board.

I only found two besides this one. ;)

Dear Katie & James - Time for a reality check....scientists have discovered the center of the universe and, sadly, you and your family are not there.

Ah-ha! Here is the answer! They are probably related to the girl that is suing her parents for $600+ a week after she moved out because she didn't want to follow rules. And she could have her private school tuition, new car back, and college paid for if she would only move back and respect her parents and follow a few rules! popcorn:: You are right, there is only one axis that the world revolves around. The most entertaining thread since I saw the giant argument about bringing pizza into BOG for lunch!

I personally can barely remember the last time I saw a character walking around the park - it was the Beast and we were walking towards him, then a giant mob of kids came from behind and attacked the poor guy - he couldn't move or walk and it was probably dangerous since I am sure his vision was half-blocked. If he moved to try to break free, he probably would have stepped on a kid, then we would have had another lawsuit!

As for expecting to meet Cinderella in the castle by just walking up at anytime - you can't even be serious???????????????????

Oh, as for Splash Mountain - it was also closed the same time of year in 2011 and 2013. Not a news flash! I would be more surprised if it was open which is why I am going in December - for Splash Mountain!

I realize the op report is extreme, however, there is a definite downward trend in customer service, food, experience, and cleanliness in the parks.

It causes me to wonder what the top managers are doing and are they even in the parks. I love Disney World it hurts to see this happening.

And here as well, when they were 40 minutes late and "furious" that "Norway was so far away".

I just had to shake my head when I read how a CM asked her to park or move her stroller and she said she ignored them and went on a ride. Coming off the ride, she referred to the cm's as rude for moving her stroller.

I have to say from reading these older posts, Dissers seemed way too nice 12 years ago. Nobody even called her out for her rudeness and sense of entitlement back then. :confused3

Maybe they should stop booking breakfasts if they can't get there on time.

She's just lucky that back then they didn't have the CC policy for the breakfasts. That's what probably allowed her in then, the fact that they didn't have a card to charge. Letting them in late still rang up a bill.

If she would've done that this trip, they would've sent her on her way and SHE would've had to explain to her kids that because of her poor planning that they wouldn't be seeing the princesses AND to her hubby that they were out $60.

I started to give her points for stating her family can't be anywhere on time, then she said her husband was blaming Disney for putting the meal so far from the front gate. He was so mad he had to go calm down. Wow. How is 40 minutes late Disney's fault?

Methinks someone needs to start getting ready sooner and not blame family size or a theme park....

The more i read the more I think this poster is pulling our legs. Is anyone really this self-centered and demanding? Ignoring a CM and being mad because they move your stroller to where it belongs? Complaining because a restaurant is so far to walk to? Who really does that?

No, Disney should've put Norway at the entrance. I've been saying that for years. ;)

I actually had someone at Universal complain that it was raining so some rides were closed, and haughtily informed me that "it *NEVER* rains at Disney!!" before dragging their kids off to go complain to guest services. One of the few times in my life I was absolutely speechless, in both my external voice and my internal commentary.
