OK, all you lawbreakers...what should I do?
The kid across the cul de sac (8 years old-plays with fire and firecrackers with no parent watching...) lit off some firecrackers about 1/2 hour ago. (actuall this ONE time his grandma and mom were actually watching him...still to young if you ask me, but that's a whole nother thread for the CB) anywhoooo, about 15 minutes later my kids come in and say the cops came by and said he couldn't light fire crackers-told his grandma....
here's my dilema....
we have about 1/2 hours worth of fireworks(sparkler type with some noise).. that we already bought, and the kids have been looking forward to DH lighting them tonight. Do we just go ahead and pretend we know nothing of this previous warning, do I go across the street and ask gramma exactly what was said, or toss the fireworks into the garbage??? The weird thing is - I am sorta having a moral dilemma with this, since DSs are the ones that informed us about the police...so they would know that we are going against what the police said....we could come up with a whitle lie if they ask us about it-not above that...
what should we do...it's starting to get dark.....
BTW, these kinds of fireworks are legal in Savannah...maybe our neighborhood has a covenant against it...I don't know or care about that.
