Our magic bands came in!!

My MagicBand arrived in the mail today as well in a stylish red for my trip in October! I've been stalking the shipment ever since I received the notification from Disney Destinations! :cheer2:

We received our today for Oct 5th trip. I was soooo excited to get them. I have to say, after trying mine on, I hate the fit. They are not shaped like a circle. There is a flat part that is too skinny for my wrist and it is already driving my crazy :(

I felt the same way, and luckily got used to it after some time. I'd recommend breaking it in a bit before your trip.

Thanks for the advice. I was pretty much thinking along these lines. I remember reading somewhere someone saying to give it a chance. If I can't tolerate it, I'll attach it to a lanyard and deal with that eventuality as it comes.

I also know a few people who found it more comfortable with the Mickey either on the sides or the bottom. The sides makes for particularly easy scanning.

Yay! Congrats. I loved getting Mickey mail for an upcoming trip. I was excited to get our MB's and the magnet with dates on it. Have a magical time.

They are not shaped like a circle.

I don't want to be one of those people that post about something without the first hand knowledge as I have not received by MB's yet, BUT, I am! :lmao:

I read a few posts of people that were able to reshape the band using a rubber band around the outside and a small ball on the inside. If the MB's don't fit my family well when received I plan to try this as well. The shape seems to be a very common complaint.

Good luck!

While we're on the subject, I thought I'd add in my unsolicited $.02.

When ours arrived, I removed the larger outer band to resize for my daughters. This left rough edges obviously. 220 grit sandpaper works wonders. It took a bit of time (did it by hand rather than using a sander so as not to damage the band) but, it was worth it. Might be something to think about well ahead of your trip as I believe the rough edges would cause issues for little wrists.:thumbsup2
