Any Disney Pin Fanatics

There are other similar threads on this site about the whole pin trading thing and what sort of fakes are also being peddled by some. If you are buying directly from Disney, you would assume/expect they are the real thing and I doubt Disney stores knowingly sell fakes. When it comes to any sort of 'trading' with people you don't know, I think the advice posted above regarding how to tell those that are real from those that aren't makes sense. However, the production of pins basically involves manufacturing processes that aren't really that hard to duplicate. Most are injection molding/castings with some enamel work. I would assume legit Disney vendors are required to destroy their molds once the production run of any sort of limited edition pin has been produced.

If you want to trade pins of nominal value for the 'fun' of it, then this issue is less of a problem. IF you have purchased some limited edition/expensive/valuable pins, then I would be very careful who you are trading with so you don't end up with a fake when you gave them the real thing.
