~Our June '09 adventure~ I'm home! Started TR 7/2

Wow, I can't believe you're at the end of the "attraction of the day" game either. That went by fast. But that's good, b/c that means your trip is coming up soon!! :goodvibes

Wishes
Back in 2007, I went with my sister and her family. One of my nephews, who was four at the time, was getting all excited to ride BTMRR again. Wishes had just started. He was about to run over to get in line and just stopped all the sudden. He came back to me and pulled me down to his level. He sat on my leg and we watched Wishes together like that. At the end, he gave me a big hug and thanked me for coming to Disney World with him. It was such a sweet moment!

Awww Wishes! You did save the best for last! I love it, it makes me cry. DF has never seen it, so June will be his first time so we have to find a very good spot! Any suggestions? Maybe that can be my question of the day  I can't believe this game is over, you are so clever coming up with fun ideas for your PTR!!

Question where can I get the CD:confused3?

WOW WIshes the very first time I saw wishes I was speechless and amazed aww :cloud9: I remember I almost cried because I felt very special. I loved it.

I have seen Wishes CD's in different shops around WDW.

Wishes

Here is what I wrote about Wishes in my TR.

We finished dinner and went to the pooh ride, then found a spot for Wishes. I ran to do space mountain, then met back up with the girls for the fireworks. We have seen the fireworks a few times but never from the front of the castle. I don't know fireworks are fireworks right????????? WRONG! It is worth it standing in the circle in front of the castle to see them. I was holding Juliana in one arm and taping with the other. Tinkerbell flew right over us. Juliana was in awe... I was watching her and it was the best feeling ever. I was getting chills during the song "and all our wishes will come true" There is something about that voice... maybe because it sounds like a kid. I donno but it was worth staying in the crowd to watch them. Snapped a shot of Main St. and the castle while we were trying to fight the crowds on the way out. It is a little blurry.

Aw, such a good memory! :goodvibes

It's crazy how fast this PTR has been going!

Aw, that's so cute! :goodvibes

I hope DF likes it! I reaaaaaaaaaaaaaally want to sit at those tables/chairs on the Main Street train station and watch Wishes sometime, but I think you'd have to get there WAY early. One trip, we sat at the Noodle Station and had a good view of Tinkerbell flying and Wishes. If you sit there though, make sure you're out far enough and not under the awning!

Help!
So, I was thinking tomorrow I'll start the "Question of the Day" game. Any ideas of what I should do? Should I ask everyone a question? And then when they answer, they have to ask me a question back?

Wishes - you really have saved the best for last! I love wishes. The fireworks are beautiful but its the soundtrack i love. The sentiment is really sweet and sums up WDW for me. We also usually watch it on the last night which means that I am teary eyed when leaving.

Wishes

I remember the first time I saw this I almost cried.. with all the music playing and it was soo pretty. I remember thinking.. now I understand why disney lovers always get emotional the first time they see this when they arrive. I remember we stood in the middle of the street and even though my DH didn't really want to stay.. once we did- he said he was glad we stayed, he really liked it. This was a good one to save for last!! :upsidedow

The first time I saw Wishes it was the last night of our trip. Of course I was already depressed about having to go home the next day and seeing Wishes did not help. Not that Wishes is sad or anything, but the soundtrack just made me start sobbing. It was really embarrassing.

I've also seen Hallowishes and Holiday Wishes which are amazing too!

Oh man, I can't imagine waiting until the last night to watch Wishes!

Thanks girl, I thought it was good to save for last too! It's amazing how it brings tears to my eyes!

Aw, I understand your feelings!

I haven't seen Hallowishes or Holiday Wishes! But I hope to one day! :)

One of my very first Disney memories is sitting on my daddy's shoulders watching Tinkerbell fly. I love it! He won't let me sit on his shoulders any more... :)

"Wishes" is so beautiful, I get teary eyed watching too. :grouphug:

They are happy tears, and an overwhelming feeling of... "I am actually here!"

Wishes is the last one? Hmm. I think my best memory was watching from our balcony at the Poly. That was a great view! I'd always rush back to the room and make sure we were there in time to see the fireworks. Pathetic huh? I loved it though.

We could see it from our balcony at the Wilderness Lodge too but seeing them through pine trees just wasn't as much fun. :lmao:

hey, girlie! sorry i've been MIA for awhile. life's been crazy. but i'm glad i could get by here for the last attraction of the day!

so approrpriate that it's wishes! i have so many wonderful memories of wishes - it's my FAVORITE nighttime show. there's nothing like it. it just makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. i think my favorite part is when we're watching it and i hear ray very quietly saying all the words. just makes me want to give him a big smooch!!!!

Ohhh bummer on the last AotD! But I'm looking forward to the new game.

You really did save the best for last! Wishes is the best night show in my opinion. There is just something about the castle, fireworks, music and Tink that always make me tear up and forget about anything that may be going on. :wizard:

Aw, that's such a good memory! Haha, yeah I don't think my dad would let me either!

Oh that had to be a great view from the Poly! We're going to sit down on the beach after the Luau and watch it this year.

Oh that reminds me! When we were staying at WL, we were waiting at the bus stop for a MK bus to go over to evening EMH's. It was obviously around the time of Wishes because pretty soon we could hear them going off. Sis and I ran out onto that little island of grass across from the bus stop and we could see the higher fireworks just over the roof of WL. It was cool to know that we could see them that far!

Hey Dawn! I'm glad you made it back for the last one too! I'm starting a new game today..

It is my favorite nighttime show too! That and Fantasmic is up there too. Aw Ray knows the words?! :goodvibes

Like I just told Dawn, Wishes is my favorite too and then Fantasmic. But you're right, there's just something about being at the MK and the Castle and everything.

New Game!

Question of the Day...

Here's how this will work. I'm going to ask a question to everyone. When you answer to my question, you then have to ask me a question back. If you're lucky, I may even use that question you asked me one of the days! But, don't worry- I'll say who I got it from! :) If you guys have a better idea of how to play this game, PLEASE feel free to say something!

Which of the 4 parks is your favorite and why?

My favorite park has been and always will be the MK. The first day we arrive, we have to go to the MK first because it doesn't feel like we're at WDW until we step onto Main Street and look at the Castle. :goodvibes there's just something so magical about the MK that always brings back those memories and feelings I had when I was there growing up. No matter how old I get, I will always love going here with my parents. And really, the MK brings out the kid in my parents as well!

Yay for the new game!

My favorite park (If I had to choose..it's real close between MK and EPCOT) would have to be EPCOT. There is just something about the world showcase that I just love! I also like how you can walk across a bridge an be in a whole other theme. I love everything about Epcot including Soarin', innovations, Test track..haha just everything!

My question for you is... Which character did you most enjoy meeting?

Everytime we go to Epcot, we always say that we're going to take our time arould World Showcase, but then it ends up being so hot that we change our minds. Maybe we'll try this later in the day when the sun isn't beating down on us. Plus, remember from my TR- Epcot officially hates us.

My answer to your question: As you saw from my last TR, 1900 PF was our favorite meal of the whole trip. The step-sisters were hilarious. I can't remember their names right now, but the one in the pink with red hair was my favorite! She was making ugly faces when she posed at every table and the people she was posing with had no idea she was doing that. And then for ours, she screamed at the top of her lungs right as mom was taking the picture so that's why we're laughing.

But...I can't WAIT to meet Tink! :yay:

My favorite park is MK! I love seeing how much fun Juliana has on all her favorite ridesprincess:. Plus with Wishes ending the day.. you can't go wrong with MK!

How many time do you think you'll be in Disney in your lifetime?

----Anastasia & Drizella (stepsisters)

Juliana is watching me type and we are listening to the music from Wishes... She wants to type something... here she goes-------

Aw, HI JULIANA!!!!!!!!! :cutie:

Anastasia and Drizella! That's right! I can't believe I forgot those names! Thanks.

My answer to your question: Wow, this is a hard question! I know I'll be going at least once a year for the rest of my life. But, I know I'd like to visit WDW during different seasons/holidays instead of always going in the summer. So we'll see!

LOL that's nice yey for juliana she types pretty lol :). Favorite Park MK of course. I was very impressed my first time entering the castle it just keeps my attention. Pretty castle I know right I have said that plenty of times already lol :rotfl2:. I love all the parades and shows it has to offer and the rides are cool too.

Haha boy do I remember that Epcot hates you. I hope this time it decides to forgive you guys and 'play nice'. :lmao:

I loved reading about your dinner at 1900PF! I've never seen the Step sisters out..I think they would be totally fun to interact with.

You know I'm excited to meet Tink too!!!!
