Hi there,
I finally made it over to your PTR. Your plans look great! VWL is a good choice :thumbsup2. I share your feeling for the Poly though :cloud9:. Love the old pics of you and your DS at Disney and at Poly, too cute.

Hello! Glad you made it over. :thumbsup2 I am so excited about the Wilderness Lodge (I'm not quite sure how many times I've said that on here, but oh well!). As for the Poly I think after staying there so many times it's hard to not love it. :goodvibes

I have to back track, I'm on your last page and I see you saw Danny from American Idol.
I followed your link, from my TR.

Yes, my sisters and I went to see Danny. It was very exciting.:banana::banana: Too bad we didn't make it onto TV though. We were all pretty disappointed when he got voted off, especially after we spent all that time voting...

The Poly looks lovely, your pics are great :)

Glad you liked the pictures!

I am definitely thinking about getting the shirt. Maybe when I get my next paycheck. We have not made any ADRs yet either. It seems like we are the only ones who don't make a whole lot of reservations. But I still want to eat at the Prime Time Cafe.

17 days until Disney...you are soooo close! :woohoo:

Speak of the Full House WDW episode...it's on ABC Family now! :goodvibes

Yeah, I heard it was on today. Sadly I missed it because I had school. :sad2:

Hi everyone!

I have some exciting (sort of) news to share with you! No, it's not Disney related. I have a job for the rest of the school year. There's been a lot of shuffling around with one teacher going on maternity leave and some other incidents so the principal wants me to be the building sub for the rest of the year since I've subbed there all year long anyway. Now, granted the school year is only 2 more weeks  but hey, atleast it's better than nothing. I'm kind of excited because I may get to go on some of the end-of-the-year field trips. :woohoo: Now if only it was that easy to get a full-time job...I have a feeling I am going to be doing the whole subbing thing again next year. :sad2:

Tomorrow Dad, Emma, and I are off to Philadelphia for Dad's reunion weekend. We're going to visit Independence Hall and go to the Phillies game Friday night and then Saturday we'll drive to Princeton for the reunion activities. We come home Sunday, which will be 80 days until Disney World!!! So if I don't get back on later have a great weekend! I'll do another mini TR when we get home (or atleast share some pictures).

Hey! It was fun to read your Poly memories. Isn't it funny how you ended up meeting the same girl after a few years. It really is a small world!
The Titanic exhibit sounds very moving, I'd be emotional too. :sad1:
Good news for your teaching. It might be a good plug for you for next year.

Congratulations on the job! How cool.

I still can't believe how fast time is going. We're both going to be at WL before we know it!! We definitely need to try to have a mini-DIS meet. That would be so cool. :thumbsup2

It was so strange how we all recognized each other.

I am hoping that all the subbing I've done will get me something. I was at a job fair and met with the HR person for the district and she told me that since I have been subbing there (and student taught in that district) that I'd be at the top of the list for interviews. But then I just heard that they are cutting jobs next year.:mad::mad:

Congratulations on the job! How cool.

Thanks! Even though it's just a couple weeks it's still nice.

We do need to have a mini DIS meet! I have never met a DISer before...I think I need to change that.

Congrats on having the job till the end of the year. I hope you can find a full time teaching job soon!!!

Have fun in Philly!

Thanks Cheryl, I hope I can find a full-time job soon too.

Philly was a lot of fun! We got to see a lot of historical places!

I'm subbing. I have to go back and catch up though! popcorn::

I'm only on page 5! :surfweb:

Yay, another reader! Thanks for coming over. :)

OMG I love the Poly pics! Those are so cute. That's funny about the sand...what did the couple do after they were sandblasted? That's cool that you saw your friend again a couple of years later too. You guys should have become pen pals. :goodvibes Can't you use your DVC points on a Poly room too? I thought I read that in the book they gave me?

haha, well I don't think we actually HIT them with the sand. :rotfl: Yes, you can use DVC points at the Polynesian (as well as a few other non-DVC resorts) but it takes a lot more points than the DVC resorts so it's not quite the same value.

Love the Poly Memories! I love the old photos.

So I thought of you when I was in Disney. One morning, I am getting ready for the parks and I have the tv on ABC Family and guess what is on....the Step By Step episode where they go to Disney! I used to love that episode along with the Full House one. :lmao: I thought it was hilarious that it was on while I was in Disney. Of course I sat down and watched it! :rotfl2:

That is pretty funny that the Disney episode was on while you were there. I don't know if I've ever seen the Step by Step one though. I've seen the Sabrina where they're at the AK, Full House (obviously, haha!), Boy Meets World, and Roseanne (I think I only watched it because it was Disney!). Guess I'll have to youtube that one!

Hi everyone! So we are at 80 days now...technically 79 but I had school and then work yesterday so I'm just getting around to updating!

First, some non-Disney randomness (hope you don't mind...):
:upsidedow ONLY 7 MORE DAYS LEFT OF SCHOOL!!! :dance3::dance3::dance3:
:upsidedow As you probably know, my sisters and I are big American Idol junkies. David Cook is coming here in July so we are going to go to that. Something else to look forward to. :thumbsup2
:upsidedow I heard today that one of the teachers at the school where I've been subbing for most of the year resigned. It'll be interesting to see if I actually hear anything about that position or if they are just going to hire internally. I guess I'm just hoping to get a chance to interview so I can get another one under my belt.

Now back to DISNEY!
princess: We made our reservations for the Magical Express. Woo hoo!

princess: I bought my new Vera Bradley bag last night. I ended up getting the purple mailbag.

princess: Like I said, we're under 80 days now. That means it's time for my next Magical Memory... :goodvibes

Family Magic Tour
On our trip in 1999, I remember Dad had gotten a bunch of coupons for various excursions in Disney World. We ended up using one for an ice cream social at that restaurant in the Land (I am blanking on the name right now :confused3) and we also had one for a discount on the Family Magic Tour. If you've never done the tour before, you can probably guess from the name that it's more family-oriented than some of the other tours. The idea of the tour is that you need to save the Magic Kingdom from being taken over by Captain Hook. Basically you go on a scavenger hunt around the park looking for "clues." I remember looking for hidden Mickeys and other little secrets around the park. You also had to do crazy things while walking around...the thing I remember most was having to walk through Adventureland moving your arms like alligators (I think I most remember that because I've seen other people doing it on a couple trips! haha). At the end of the tour we were taken to a little area where we got to meet Peter Pan.

I swear that guy who was Peter Pan still works there! Once everyone had a chance to get pictures/autographs, he took us to ride it's a small world. Overall it was a really fun experience. I'd definitely recommend it for families with small kids. :thumbsup2

And now some exciting news!

What could it be? :confused3

I'm sure it won't come as a big surprise...but...

WE HAVE ANOTHER DISNEY TRIP PLANNED!!!:banana::banana:

I guess it would be more fitting to say we have another reservation made. Dad made a reservation at Saratoga Springs for the week around Easter of next year. I figure this way regardless of my job situation I'll be able to go since school would be off during that time anyway. It'll be exciting to get to go back to our official "home". A lot of people don't seem to like SSR, but I love it there!

Have a great night!

Awww that tour sounds really cute! Do they still have it? Not that I would do it because I don't have kids but I've never heard of it before!

:woohoo::yay: for another Disney trip! I'm so jealous, I MUST own DVC when I get older!!

Another wonderful memory. I've always wondered about the Family Tour, thanks for the description. :thumbsup2

Congrats on another trip! That is always very exciting!
