Our Anniversary Week at the Happiest Place on Earth!! TR DONE 8/30 SOUVENIR POST SOON

My drawing skills...they're non existent! OMG I stink so bad and still the Animation Academy was so much fun. Try it!! :thumbsup2

Maybe we should try this together someday. My drawing could make you feel really good about your artistic talents!

awwww......beauty and the beast! my FAVORITE disney show! thanks for the pics. i haven't seen it since april 2008 and i want to see it again so bad! i heard a nasty rumor they're replacing it but i'm hoping it's just a rumor. how was that belle? that was a new one i haven't seen in pics before. i've seen the show 3 times with 2 different belles and they were both good, but the one we saw the first time was unbelievable - sounded just like the movie!

I heard it last summer- that it would be gone by November, and they even said what it would be replaced with, but I can't remember. It was another Disney movie, though, made into a musical the same way. But, that never happened, so who knows? Maybe they just got it confused with 4 for a Dollar going away, but then I'm not sure how they came up with information on the replacement show. Down the line somewhere, it may all come true.

I love this stinking fountain

It is cute. I don't have enough pictures of it, either. I have to remedy that soon.

Good Beauty and the Beast pictures. Since I have about nine million pictures of it, I may just video it this time. I'd love to watch it at home and dream myself to be there! :)

okay....i know i've been out of it from my surgery but is lauren going in december, too? fill me in! i'm out of the loop here.

I didn't know she was going then either!

Sorry I fell behind! I LOVE your B&TB pictures, that show's SO cute! Glad you liked it :goodvibes:

That's ok! B&tB is such a great show! I loved it :)

I was riding Soarin' by myself during one of our trips and encountered the same reaction when I tried to get in a few mins before the time in the FPs line.

I also was annoyed. How can 1 person be too many. Plus, by the time I would have made it to the other CM at the end of the line, it would have been the time.

Maybe they have surprise inspections like I did in my tourism job??

Maybe they do have inspections or something. I mean if there were like a bunch of people who were trying to get in before their time, okay I understand. But there weren't! Same with your situation! Ugh, frustrating!

B&TB is also tied as my fave with FOTL :)

And yay! You got a prince that'S kinda cute. I always think the real prince kinda looks wrong. Like no real guy really fits lol

I definitely can't decide between B&tB and FotLK! THey're both just so amazing. The prince was pretty cute!

I'm just going down for 3 nights in December.. the 30th thru January 2nd. To celebrate New Years Eve in my favorite place! :goodvibes And it just so happens that Trent and MeMom and the rest of the family will be there, too! So, that'll definitely be fun :)

OMG I'm jealous! I would love to be there for Christmas and New Years but of course I would want my family there too. Really exciting that you'll get to meet MeMom and family too.

It was supposed to be a trip with one of my best friends, but we don't know for sure if she can make it. I'll find out in a few weeks. So, if she can definitely come then Jake will be staying with my parents for New Years.

I hope your friend can come!

Love the pictures! Great that you were able capture Gaston in the air. I want to see the movie again. I was also working on my tan today.

Thanks! I thought that picture with him in the air was really cool even thought it was blurry LOL I would love to watch that movie again, I should now that you say it. Hope you got some color yesterday, I did!

Great pictures from Beauty and the Beast! I haven't seen that in so long.

Well lucky you will get the chance to see it again next month!

Great update! I love Beauty and the beast and the show was great! So I can't wait to hear what you think about Mamma Melrose because it gets so many mixed reviews! :goodvibes

The show was just amazing. Mama Melrose review, coming up shortly. I'll tell you that we liked it though!

You crack me up, Kristen, taking pics of the CM that made you angry! :rotfl:

Great Beauty and the Beast pictures -- I am glad you were able to see it!

:lmao: I hope no one thinks I'm like cold hearted for taking her picture. I told Chris I posted it and he told me I was mean! Even though he told me to take the picture! LOL

We loved B&tB! Can't wait to hear in your TR if you guys saw it or not.

I love OMD too! i actually wrote a research paper about walt and the disney company for a class and i learned a lot of the stuff shown in the film at the end..also i cant wait to hear about your mama melrose dinner because i have an ADR for mama melroses while im there :)

That's so cool that you got to write a paper about Walt and Disney! I wouldn't even have minded doing the work I think if it was about that. Mama Melrose update coming up soon! We liked it there!

Great update! I love all your B&tB pictures! We haven't seen B&tB since 05! :scared1: WE just seem to get the timing right with all the shows at DHS and FP's for rides!

I heard a rumor somewhere that their going to update ST soon! It really needs it! DS6 is a HUGE Star Ward fan and he and rode it 3 times in January I think! It's getting a little old!

I'm glad the sun is finally out and your where able to work on your tan bit! This weather has been sooo crazy! Today is definitely going to be a beach day for us!

Ahh you guys need to see B&tB again! It's great! It is hard to coordinate the shows and rides at DHS, we ended up not getting to do everything we wanted to because of it.

I heard the rumor about ST too! I hope it gets updated it soooooo needs it! I remember reading about your DS riding ST over and over in your Jan TR!

I hope you guys had a good time at the beach today! I had running around to do so I didn't get to get any sun today but I did yesterday and am veryyy happy.

Maybe we should try this together someday. My drawing could make you feel really good about your artistic talents!

I would love to match my terrible drawing with yours, MeMom! I guarantee mine would be worse

I heard it last summer- that it would be gone by November, and they even said what it would be replaced with, but I can't remember. Maybe they just got it confused with 4 for a Dollar going away, but then I'm not sure how they came up with information on the replacement show. Down the line somewhere, it may all come true.

OMG I hope they don't get rid of it! I never heard that rumor and there's so many around that your never know what to believe!

It is cute. I don't have enough pictures of it, either. I have to remedy that soon.

Good Beauty and the Beast pictures. Since I have about nine million pictures of it, I may just video it this time. I'd love to watch it at home and dream myself to be there! :)

I can't believe YOU'RE missing pictures of something! haha I'm sure you'll fix that soon. I took so many pics of B&tB this time I think I'll just sit back and watch it next time LOL

Great update! I can't wait to see Beauty and the Beast! It is also my all time fav disnay movie!

Thanks! B&tB was great and is a wonderful movie!

Just wanted to say hi! Took me 2 days to read it all, but I'm all caught up. I'm from Long Island - grew up in Smithtown and moved to Stony Brook when I was an adult. I received my teaching degree from St. Joseph's. Congrats on taking your test - those things are killers!! I live in Georgia and had to take the GACE last year. It was tough but I passed. Now if I could only find a job!!!
It's a fun report. I'm so jealous you are renting points - I can't figure out how to do it:confused3
Laura

:rotfl2: She looks like a muppet! :lmao: I'm glad I wasn't drinking anything when I read that! I love the fountain over there too.

Ahhh..Beauty and the Beast. My favorite Disney movie too! :goodvibes

Oooh Mama Melrose is coming up! I talked to you then...and you found Kevin. :rotfl2:

Welcome over to a fellow Long Islander! Thanks for joining in! I went to Stony Brook University for my bachelor's degree so looks like I was out near where you lived. My friend just graduated from St. Joe's too. And speaking of those tests, I just found out like 2 hrs ago that I passed the Social Studies CST! :yay: I only have the ASTW or ATSW (I forgot haha) left.

Congrats on passing the GACE! What made you move down to GA? My BF and I want to move down South but we're undecided as to where. Finding a job right now its a pain in the neck everywhere! That's why I ended up back in school right away for my master's, no jobs!

Renting points is so easy and i'm so happy I found out about it! There's a whole thread on the DVC section of the DIS where you just put up a post of your dates, what resort you're looking for and then owners will PM you or email you. I posted on there and was contacted by about 6 people but then I asked Dawn (punkin413) who she rented from and she directed me to Tara (Eventer98). The DVC owner tells you how much they will rent the points to you for (usually between $9-13 a point, depending on which resort and stuff) and then they'll call and check availibility for you. If it sounds good and they get what you want, they book the reservation for you but it's in your name. Then once they receive a confirmation from Disney, they'll mail it to you. Most will provide contracts and stuff for the transaction too if you want it. I paid Tara through paypal but I'm sure other sellers do other forms of payments as well. It's so easy and definitely the only way we'd ever be able to stay deluxe at this point! Anymore questions just ask!

Glad you joined in, hope you stick around til the end! :)

:rotfl: as long as you think she looks like one too i don't feel so bad. I wasn't trying to be mean but it was true! haha

Another thing we're alike with, B&tB being our fave!

Mama Melrose up next! And yes, I did see Kevin...the boys are going to have a field day if we see him in March

All caught up. And you are so right! That lady looks just like a muppet. :lmao:

Congrats on passing the test! Good luck on the one you have left. It's all different from when I graduated in NY. At that time I took the NTE. I moved here because my dh (now my ex) was transferred here. I'm glad that I'm living here as a single mom, I never could afford to live on L.I. now. It's really a cheaper way of life here. My sister and her husband moved here a few days ago and were able to buy a house, something they could never due when they lived on L.I. I'll be sticking around....I'm enjoying your trip!

I didn't know she was going then either!

I am, I am! I didn't know if I was for sure, but I am!

OMG I'm jealous! I would love to be there for Christmas and New Years but of course I would want my family there too. Really exciting that you'll get to meet MeMom and family too.

One of my best friends & I went right after Thanksgiving last year and the Christmas decorations are GORGEOUS! I'm super stoked to be able to be there for New Years this year, too! Plus, all the pretty Christmas decorations will still be up!

I've actually already been able to meet MeMom! I hung out with Trent about 2weekends ago and we went out to lunch with MeMom and Drew. It was nice :) But, I'll get to meet the rest of the family over the holidays, so that'll definitely be cool!

I hope your friend can come!

Me toooooo! I bug her about it everyday!

Ommmyygosshh! I love all your pictures from B&B!! Thank you soo much for sharing them. B&B is also one of my all time fav. movies and I didn't get to see this my last trip.. but next time for sure. I always wondered how "good" it actually was.. idk why I doubted it- its disney! hehe But I loved it. It looks like you missing the parade- that Chris sooo wanted to see- paid off because it looks like you guys got pretty good seats- at least the pics are good. i agree with you- The Festival of Lion King is also my favorite to.

I can't wait to hear about your experience at 50's prime time- because I have always wanted to go there and it seems like every time I plan it always gets knocked out..

Ohh.. I also wanted to say- I love the Muppet fountain soo very much to! Even more than the show I think. I wasn't to impressed with it- I expected more I guess. Great pics from that! :thumbsup2

OMG......this could be bad! :lmao:

Our boys are bad so yea, its not gonna be good

All caught up. And you are so right! That lady looks just like a muppet. :lmao:

Yes someone who agrees with me!!! thank you!!! haha

Thank you!! Chris and I are very interested in moving down South. He works for a cable company up here and its a good job with good pay and benefits and i'll be teaching but even still we don't think its going to be possible to afford to live up here! it's out of control! The same house we could get down there is sometimes double the cost up here, you know how it is. Everything seems to be pointing us down there except that all our family is up here which is going to stink.

I'm glad you're enjoying the trip!

I am, I am! I didn't know if I was for sure, but I am!

Yesssss!!!

I've seen so many gorgeous pictures of WDW at Christmas and just can't wait to see it in person! And you're lucky because you'll get the best of Christmas AND New Years when you go!

I've actually already been able to meet MeMom! I hung out with Trent about 2weekends ago and we went out to lunch with MeMom and Drew. It was nice :) But, I'll get to meet the rest of the family over the holidays, so that'll definitely be cool!

OMG I didn't know you met them already! I actually just friend requested you on facebook btw, Dawn suggested you as a friend for me LOL Anyway, I didn't know that you lived down by them. Trent's a cutie as you obviously know, whats up with that? ;)

Great update. Love the B&tB pics!!!

Thanks!!

Glad you enjoyed the B&tB pictures! The show is really great, very good performers and singers. You have to see it next time!

We didn't eat at 50's PTC this time! We're going to when we go back in Nov/Dec but we ate at Mama Melrose on the trip LOL

Glad you liked the muppet fountain pics too :goodvibes

Just a quick little interjection about our Nov/Dec trip here, even though I already posted this on the group PTR...I bought our return flight plane tickets today! They were at $79 each and I couldn't pass it up so we leave FL on Dec. 5 on Southwest at 6pm and since we're flying into our local smaller airport we'll be in our homes again by 9pm. Pray that the flights going down get really cheap for us too! :goodvibes
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When I last left off we had just finished seeing the Beauty and the Beast show. Correction; I saw it and took a gagillion pictures, Chris half paid attention and half snoozed. It was about 4:30 now and our Mama Melrose dinner reservation with the Fantasmic! package was for 4:45 so we decided to just walk over in that direction and check in. I was kind of apprehensive about eating at MM because 1) my grandma is 100% Italian and makes some awesome sauce, so does my mom 2) I'm from NY and have tasted Italian food that will knock your socks off. I didn't want to get fake gross Italian food here and I didn't have any unrealistic expectations about it either. Although tinkgurl had calmed me down about eating here a little because her and her family had eaten there before and enjoyed it a lot. So over we went to the other side of the park yet again.

We walked into MM and I really liked how they had all the pictures of the celebrities on the wall. This is the check in desk
228.jpg

We checked in a few minutes early so we both used the bathroom and by the time we were done washing up we were being called to be seated. Here is the beginning of TS meal #4. Pretty much right as I sat down tinkgurl texted me to see if we were there yet. We were and she told us to look for her family's "favorite" waiter, Kevin. We saw him! But he wasn't our server, we had a woman. She was good, attentive but didn't really have the Disney magic like some other servers we had. Anyway with the package you just pay a flat price and then you each get an appetizer, entree and dessert. For appetizer Chris got the mozzerella and tomato and I got the fried Calamari for 2 which I was allowed to get just for myself.
229.jpg

230.jpg

OMG it was sooo much calamari and Chris doesn't eat seafood so it was all for me! It was really yummy and meaty, probably some of the best I've ever tasted! The only thing was there was hot pepper (I think) in the batter they're fried in and they were a little spicy! Chris's tomato and mozzerella were really delicious too, I kept stealing bites. I knew I still had my meal to eat so I didn't eat all of those calamari. Next for entrees I ordered penne al a vodka and Chris ordered his all time favorite, chicken parmesan.
231.jpg

232.jpg

This was another instance where I almost forgot to take a picture and Chris reminded me! Anyway our entrees were good too. Not the best we've ever had and my mom definitely makes better Chicken parm but it was all still good. Then it was time for dessert which I really wasn't sure how I was going to eat! I ordered tiramisu and Chris got some kind of chocolate cake with raspberry I think.
233.jpg

234.jpg

A little side story here: Chris is definitely the one of the worst spellers I've ever met in my life. He spells everything wrong, all the time. I love him anyway LOL When I got the tiramisu I said to Chris he would probably spell tiramisu totally wrong and spell is just like he says it. So he tries to convince me otherwise so I tell him to spell it then. Here's how he spells it: terramasue. Because that's how he says it. So we're laughing hysterically at this now so when the waitress brings the bill he takes the pen and writes on the napkin
235.jpg

In case you can't read it, it says
"I love Terramasue!
^
^
perfect spelling
of it"

We were laughing so hard at this, I think I was crying. Aside from this, he loved his chocolate cake and I found out i don't like tiramisu. Or terramasue. The bottom tasted like straight alcohol! Since then I tried a tiramisu shooter at P.F. Changs in Atlantic City and I liked that so I guess I just didn't like it from MM.

Overall we did enjoy the meal here and would go back, just not in a hurry. We'll almost definitely eat here again, especially if we do the F! package but I'm not like dying to go there again.

continued in the next post...

continued from previous post...

After dinner we got our little ticket for priority Fantasmic seating from our waitress and left. We needed a few minutes to digest and warm up (it was cold inside the restaurant!) so we just hungout outside the Muppets gift shop over there.

Chris's sexy pose :rotfl:
236.jpg

I yelled at him to get down after the picture because they probably need to usually tell 4 year olds to get off the statue, not 24 year olds
237.jpg

Once I was warm we headed into the shop over there to see what I could spend my money on. Right as we walked in there were shelves of ears and Chris walks over and I turn around to see this
238.jpg

:rotfl2::lmao: OMG Chris's BIG noggin in one of those little child hats, I seriously was crying laughing. I was DYING people were staring at me because I was laughing so hard. And that FACE! LOL I could barely take the picture because I was shaking from laughing. Then he puts this one on and the laughter continued...
239.jpg

My pretty little Disney Princess! HAHA

So I wiped the tears from my eyes and cleaned up the eyeliner dripping down my face and shopped. Like the good TR writer I am I dont have pictures of everything I bought here :headache: I got a shot glass that says DHS on it, a mug that Nicole (ibedancin24) asked me to pick up for her, a photo album, a mug for my mom and then since I spent over $50 Chris bought me a super cute Disney throw with Mickey and Minnie and the castle on it for $15. I think thats all I got for some reason it seems like not a lot of stuff for $50. Of course I had everything shipped back to ASMo which I think is the greatest idea ever.

Then I thought we should go see if we can do that Backlot Tour. We start walking down the Streets of America.
240.jpg

241.jpg

We get over to the BT and it's closed already! Ugh! I forgot to mention that at one point during the day, maybe it was right after dinner, we were going to go to see Lights! Motor! Action! and I realized that its only shown like twice a day and we missed that too! Chris was bummed! I promised him we'd definitely see it when we go back.

At this point we had time before Fantasmic! but not tons of time so I checked the times guide and realized the Animation Academy movie thing was starting soon so we went over that way and got in line. Seriously we timed it perfect because we waited like 3 mins in line and were the last 2 people in the theater. I thought this little movie was so cute! Our CM narrator could have used a cup of coffee though LOL Then we went through and got on line to do the drawing! I was so excited to do this even though I'm literally one of the worst artists you'll ever meet. Seriously, I have trouble drawing smiley faces. We drew Winnie the Pooh and Chris and I were cracking up the whole time because both of our drawings were just so bad. Here's what we drew
242.jpg

Then we proceeded to argue for the rest of the night about whose Pooh was better. Tell me what you guys think and then I'll tell you whose is whose!

up next:: the end of our night at DHS!!

Great update! The pictures of Chris in the hats are hilarious. :rotfl:

I've been seeing so many TRs lately where people do the Animation Academy. We've never done that (though we've gone in the animation building a lot) so I might have to convince my dad and sister to go in there!

AWe. I don't think ones better.

They are each really good and have really nice aesthetics.

You can't ask an art teacher to chose lol

I like the skinny Pooh better :) And I think your Bf is DEFINATELY a Disney princess!!! hahaha. It's hilarious to see his sense of humor coming through!

Woo hoo for your December flights!

That calamari sounds divine! I love tiramisu, so I am very sad that you didn't like it :(.

Chris had me laughing out loud between his spelling, his sexy pose, and his Disney princess hat. He makes an adorable Disney princess! :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl:

I am not weighing in on the Poohs because I don't like to hurt people's feelings. I think they are both lovely! :lmao: Which they are, by the way!
