I would recommend walking through OMD. Ditch the people you're with (ok, except your son LOL) and give it a whirl. It doesn't take that long and it's worth seeing where all the magic started with the wonderful man.

Try AIE too! It's a great break from the heat and so realistic, we loved it!

I definitely am going to walk through it this trip! And I'm really going to try and do AIE, too!

The question was directed towards MeMom but I'll answer it anyway, we did do the Animation Academy! It was really cool and I'm POSITIVE my drawing skills are worse than Jake's! He could probably draw circles around me LOL

My drawing skills have always been what keeps me away from the Animation Academy, but hearing you say that you aren't the best either makes me feel 10x better!

Thanks for the compliments on my hair!! I do have naturally curly hair but not as curly as I make it. I just use gel and hairspray. Pretty cheap gel actually that you can buy at the supermarket, LA Looks. I'm not sure if its sold all over though so I dont want to sound like an idiot if you cant find it or never heard of it! LOL Have you ever tried scrunching it with gel and then using a difuser on the end of the blow dryer? My hair didn't always get as curly as it does now (it wouldn't get this curly until I was like 18) and i would use the difuser on it which helped. I use Dove hairspray too, btw. When I scrunch my hair, I squeeze so hard that my hands and arms hurt sometimes afterwards LOL those are my only tips! try the difuser it might help! (side note: sometimes i wish i DIDNT have such obnoxious hair and that it would just dry nice and straight like yours probably does!!)

I'm usually one of those people you think that would--esp. me being a Cast Member before etc. But I am SO SO busy that I would never be able to keep up or have the patience to start one! hehe.. I am a big lurker I love reading and looking at the great photos!

I'm doing another update today when its gorgeous outside. Why you ask? Because I've already laid outside for a little less than 3 hrs and if I lay out anymore, I maybe not be able to move from my bed tomorrow due to sunburn. I burn so quick! Yes, it turns to tan but first I need to turn several different shades of red before I'll be brown. Annoying but what else would you expect from a (mostly) Irish girl? Since I'm now indoors and bored I figured I might as well get on with this. It's going on 3 months since the trip and as much as I want to keep living it out, I gotta end sometime!---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We last left off right after Chris and I finished the American Idol Experience. After a quick glance at the map rolleyes to see what we still needed to accomplish we decided to head over towards Star Tours. We're not Star Wars people but ST seemed to be a must do for me. We got over there and the Jedi Training was going on. The wait for ST was 30 mins...time we didn't want to wait. Instead we were a little hungry and still had about 2 hrs until dinner so we grabbed FPs for ST (return time was for 3:10) and decided to grab some frozen treats from a concession cart over in front of the ride. We just needed a little relief from the sun and all the people! We got in line and I'm not one bit ashamed to say that I paid the girl in all coin I had accumulated so much change from breaking bills over the past 5 days that I think I gave her $8 in coins! We both got a frozen chocolate covered banana and a Coke to share. No pictures because 1) i'm a pig and made a mess of it and myself 2) we devoured them pretty quickly. Since we had about 20 mins to kill we walked back over in the direction of The Muppets 3D show. We thought about going to see it before ST but the line was crazy! I've never seen it like this before and never heard of it being so out of control. I guess it was just the hottest part of the day and everyone wanted some relief. That's my only explanation!

We actually just took refuge from the shade in the little walkway that connects the Muppets area to the Streets of America (I think!). There were no seats and there was a sea of strollers near the curb so we couldn't sit there. After I finished my treat I wandered off a little to let Chris relax in the shade while I took some pictures.

So we had about 10 minutes until our FP return time for ST so we just started walking back that way, figuring there was a chance we'd be able to get on a few minutes before our FP time. We walked over and the CM was standing there. The line for ST had actually dropped down to about 20 mins now so we though, no problem, we'll get in now at 3:03, 7 minutes before our time. We show the CM our ticket and she checks her super geek watch and tells us no we have to wait 7 more minutes. What? It's not like people were knocking down the doors for the ride! There wasn't even that long of a standby wait and she was going to make us wait 7 mins? So we walked over to the side of the FP entrance and just stared at her. Another family walked up with FPs for the same return time as us and she told them NO 4 more minutes. Are you serious? No one else even walked in while we were waiting! I understand we technically did have to wait the 4 more freakin minutes but its not like people were bombarding the doors! She took her job wayyyy too seirously. As we're standing there waiting Chris goes "she looks like a Muppet." I look over and she totally looked just like a Muppet. I know its kind of mean but she did! So I took her picture

I hope no one thinks I'm an evil, cruel, witchy person! I'm not! It was just funny and she annoyed us. And anyone looking at that picture right now can't deny she looked like a Muppet!

Moving on, 3:10 hits and we're allowed in. We walked through the queue quickly so I only got 2 pictures

The ride was eh. Chris wasn't impressed and it wasn't as cool as I remember it being. We know its not something that will be on our must do list when we're back in Nov/Dec.

It was about 3:30 now and I reallyyyyyy wanted to see the 4pm showing of Beauty and the Beast! I figured we should hurry because the shows we'd seen so far filled up fast. I start booking it across the park and we hit a snag...the Block Party Bash was going on! I kept going, weaving in and out of people and I hear "Kristen...Kristen!" Chris is way behind me yelling to get me to stop with a frustrated look on his face. I stop for him to catch up to me and he's like "I wanted to stop and watch for a little but forget it now." Woops, sorry babe! I felt bad, especially because he was interested in the parade but we had a show to catch! I wasn't missing this one!

Just snapped this on the way over, can't wait to eat here in December!

About half way over there I realized that I should go pick up FPs for RnRC if I wanted to ever ride it today. I told Chris to wait outside the B&tB theater and I would just run over to RnRC alone because it was pretty packed out down Sunset Blvd. It was also really hot this day, close to 90 degrees. Definitely the hottest day we were there. So I left Chris baking in the sun while I ran in it. LOL I got over to RnRC and got FPs with return times of 9:20-10:20. Perfect because we could ride right after Fantasmic. I rush back to Chris where he's dripping with sweat, looking cranky. I admit, so was I! We quickly walked into the B&tB theater and couldn't wait to get off our feet. It was about 20 mins to 4 so we had plenty of time to spare and the theater wasn't even half full! We picked seats about 2/3 of the way down on the right side. I got out my cell phone and called home and Chris did the same. I made sure to rub it in to my dad how sunny and warm it was in FL when he told me how cold and rainy it was up in NY haha Good daughter I am. Finally the show began! WARNING:: This next portion of the TR is lots of B&tB pictures! If you're not interested, fast forward LOL

Did I mention Beauty and the Beast is my favorite Disney movie?

Phewwww, done. Let me reiterate that B&tB is my favorite Disney movie! The show is no different! I think it's tied for my favorite Disney show with Festival of the Lion King. It was so great. Chris...I think he snoozed a little during it LOL Hopefully he won't put up too much of a fight to do it again next time we're there!


Next up:: Mama Melrose dinner and a hilarious shopping experience!

I'm pretty sure it was Lynn's TR now that you said it. I would love to hear all about your CM experiences and stuff. I always tell my BF that working at Disney is my dream. I would even work there part time just serving ice cream at Mrs. Potts or making drinks for people at the Tambu Lounge. Anything! (Although ideally I'd want to be a dancer in the parades!) Hopefully one day I'll get my chance. I would really like to hear about your jobs!

Thats so cool that your birthday is on Halloween! I'm sure you guys are going to MNSSHP? Do you know what you're going to dress up as? I would love to go to Disney for my bday but it's August 4th and the heat coupled with the crowds would just not be too fun. We're going to celebrate my BF's birthday when we're there in Nov/Dec. He'll be 25 on Nov 22. My fingers will be crossed that he will pop the question! Ahhh thats my other dream, being proposed to in front of the castle. I don't care how cliche it is! I want it

awwww......beauty and the beast! my FAVORITE disney show! thanks for the pics. i haven't seen it since april 2008 and i want to see it again so bad! i heard a nasty rumor they're replacing it but i'm hoping it's just a rumor. how was that belle? that was a new one i haven't seen in pics before. i've seen the show 3 times with 2 different belles and they were both good, but the one we saw the first time was unbelievable - sounded just like the movie!

I was riding Soarin' by myself during one of our trips and encountered the same reaction when I tried to get in a few mins before the time in the FPs line.

I also was annoyed. How can 1 person be too many. Plus, by the time I would have made it to the other CM at the end of the line, it would have been the time.

Maybe they have surprise inspections like I did in my tourism job??

Great update! I love all your B&tB pictures! We haven't seen B&tB since 05! WE just seem to get the timing right with all the shows at DHS and FP's for rides!

I heard a rumor somewhere that their going to update ST soon! It really needs it! DS6 is a HUGE Star Ward fan and he and rode it 3 times in January I think! It's getting a little old!

I'm glad the sun is finally out and your where able to work on your tan bit! This weather has been sooo crazy! Today is definitely going to be a beach day for us!
