Other Moms - stroller question

If you only need the stroller for your DL trip, try to get one used. I would suggest a sit and stand or a double umbrella type. We just went in Dec again and we have a Inglesina Twin Swift for the boys, age 4 and 2 1/2. The next time we go wil be in Feb 09 so the boys wil be 5, 3 1/2 and the baby will be about 10 months...we will be in your shoes! We plan to take one of our doubles and either rent a stroller from DL when needed (we get one free for having the Disney card) or we are thinking about buying one of those boggie boards/kiddiboard that snaps or screws onto the back of a stroller. It has about a one foot space for the older child to stand on while you push.

My older child will need a stroller, if not because he gets tired but because we don't want him to get ran over or lost in the crowds. A sit and stand would not work for him, but would for others. Consider your child and how they are and what would work for them.

I wouldn't be able to pack around a 10 month old very long so we will either be with one double and one single, one double and rent one when needed or a double and a boogie board. Our trip is over a year away and I am already trying to figure it out. (If my sister still only has one baby at that time, we may have them take one of our doubles and pawn off a kid on them to push! LMAO)

Also consider having a stoller that will recline for your baby to sleep when needed.

We took our 4 sons to Disneyland in Oct. 07. At the time our little sons were 2 and 4. We took our large double jogging stroller and were so glad we did! Our 2 year old took a 4 hour nap in the stroller one afternoon. We are going to DL on Mar. 4-8 and are flying this time and are definitely taking our double stroller even though our sons are now 5 and 3. I know how tired I get at the end of the day. I don't want to have to carry a 30 lb child!! The stroller was a life saver.pixiedust:

You should DEFINITELY buy the sit and stand! It will make your trip so much more enjoyable. I also think you should bring along a cheep umbrella stroller for the third child.

If your husband is concerned about the cost of a sit and stand stroller, you could instead use an umbrella stroller and then buy a "buggy board" for it. That is what we did last year and it worked out great. We plan on using it again this year too. We got ours off eBay, if you do decide to go that route. Just an idea. :)

I was under the impression that the free stroller rentals offered to Disney VISA card holders had expired in Sept. 2007. Has this perk been extended? Has anyone rented free strollers recently at DLR with their VISA?

Yes, I got them in November, and believe they are still offering them currently. Their website is still listing it as a perk:
