Orbitz discounts 15-35% plus additional 15%

I was able to use DISCOVER which someone said gives 20% off, but I didn't check the numbers.

Retailmenot says it's 20% off, but once you figure in Orbitz taxes and fees it isn't 20% off the Disney price. Still provides a savings though.

I have a reservation at POR from 7/30-8/2, room only, booked rack rates through Disney (hoping for a discount to be released...). Orbitz is coming up more expensive than the reservation I already have booked, even with the discount code.

ORBITZ counts kids as adults and charges the extra person fees. You need to book without kids and then call and add kids

I booked 4 adults for 4 nights at CR TPV with Orbitz with DISCOVER code. It was $469.00 less than booking through WDW (for July) plus I went through Ebates and got 1% back (I think).

Has anyone changed a reservation through Orbitz? I have have 9 nights at POP booked for June. POR is now available for my dates, it was booked up when I originally booked. But reading their site it seems I'd have to rebook, pay in full again, then cancel the original reservation and wait for a refund. That sounds like a pain and will make things a bit tight on $ until I'm refunded. I don't know if I want all that hassle to change resorts.

Your total quote should have included taxes, even if you have resort room only and pay at check out. Orbitz prices include taxes when you go to do the final booking.

But reading their site it seems I'd have to rebook, pay in full again, then cancel the original reservation and wait for a refund. That sounds like a pain and will make things a bit tight on $ until I'm refunded. I don't know if I want all that hassle to change resorts.

I have my reservations through cheaptickets, but they are owned by Orbitz. I changed my reservations (they actually canceled and rebooked) when a new code came out for 25% off instead of 20% that I had. I called, was transferred over to Orbitz and they handled everything beautifully. He kept me on the line for the whole thing and my refund showed on my account in 2 days, along with the new charge. You will need to re-enter the new booking number into MDE, and call Magical Express to re-book if you are using them.

I have always been afraid to book with anyone other than Disney, but last night I booked our 10 day August stay on Orbitz for a cars suite at AoA. I received my confirmation email from Orbitz right away. I then emailed them requesting my 12 digit Disney confirmation number. The replied back with it in about 3 hours. I plugged it into to MDE and it is now showing up. I haven't seen anything on magic bands and I haven't called ME yet but Orbitz saved me $519 off Disney's rate. Those savings are too big to pass up. I am still a little nervous though.

We are thinking of going in September but I want to wait until the discounts come out for that time period, well I am hoping they do a room only discount then. But paired with the 20% off from Orbitz, we would be sitting pretty well. My thought process is if they offer the same type of room only as this spring deal, CSR would be 25% plus the 20% off deal if Orbitz runs one. Am I getting my hopes set too high?

I cancelled and rebooked with the 20% promo code (originally used the 15% one). They refunded to paypal the same day and paypal refunded to my credit card same day also. Not sure how it will make things tight at all when it clearly went on credit card and it will be refunded before you even get your bill, or at least if you got your bill before payment is due

They seem to offer them on a frequent basis. Sometimes the deal doesn't include Disney resorts, but just keep trying/looking, as they seem to come out on a regular basis, I think on Mondays.

Awesome, thank you. I will keep my fingers crossed that the discounts will align for the fall promotion. This will allow us to upgrade our room and maybe even budget in a MNSSHP as well!

Wanted to let everyone know that I was able to book the LM room at AoA using the DISCOVER discount for August. We have stayed at LM 3 different times in the past and were never able to use a discount. So I am thrilled.

We are doing a split stay. Off-site for a week and Beach Club for 5 days. The LM is only costing us $9 a night more than our original offsite. Now, we also get all the perks!

August 10-17 $757 total including taxes for LM
