Yay, after 3 phone calls and on hold for about a hour. I got wdw confirmation info, added my grandbabies, got a crib for the room and just personalized our magic bands!!!! Dh and I used the mb last nov and love using them. But I don't know why the little ones need them?

They gve them bands so they don't feel left out, even if they don't need tickets and stuff.

You will have to call Orbitz. Booking a third party reservation (like Orbitz or Cheaptickets) means you can not modify that reservation in any way, it has to be done by the "reservation holder" which is Orbitz.

Getting ready to book our summer trip with Orbitz. It's about $300 cheaper than AP rates.

Would someone mind to walk me through what you do to add kids and ME to your reservation? Is it done by calling orbitz or Disney?

I've booked twice through Orbitz and when I add guests in (we are family of 5), I input 2 adults and 3 children during the booking online through Orbitz. In MDE after I get the reservation number from Orbitz I assigned who the guests were in MDE. We don't use ME since we fly into a different airport. I've never had to call either Orbitz or Disney. Once I had reservation number I managed everything in MDE. Good luck!

I have always been afraid to book with anyone other than Disney, but last night I booked our 10 day August stay on Orbitz for a cars suite at AoA. I received my confirmation email from Orbitz right away. I then emailed them requesting my 12 digit Disney confirmation number. The replied back with it in about 3 hours. I plugged it into to MDE and it is now showing up. I haven't seen anything on magic bands and I haven't called ME yet but Orbitz saved me $519 off Disney's rate. Those savings are too big to pass up. I am still a little nervous though.

You can't edit a reservation booked through Disney on MDEs I don't know how it'd let you edit a third party. I think people are adding friends and family through MDE, but it's not changing their actual reservation.

Not all the rooms hold 5 though, so it's not guaranteed someone could add a 5th person.

If you're linked to MDE just go to magic bands and cards on there to customize them.

I was nervous the first time booking through orbitz too but for both trips there was no problem, so yeah for saving money!

I have a reservation at POR from 7/30-8/2, room only, booked rack rates through Disney (hoping for a discount to be released...). Orbitz is coming up more expensive than the reservation I already have booked, even with the discount code.

I am so tempted by the current offers at Orbitz to rebook our split stay Pop-AKV to Mod-AKV (CBR? POR? CSR?) or maybe even SSR studio-AKV for hubby (golf nut). HOWEVER we are just 20 days out from our trip, have our MBs, ME all set, etc. What will happen to our current MBs and ME ressie? Anyone else do this? TIA
