Hi moo and marita and Nurse baby. EliSabeth! I had to put blankets on all the horselets today. We are getting a noreaster with up to 5 inches of rain and high winds. We had over 6 inches of snow on thursday. How are the Offendettes? I haven't stopped by to visit in ages! I miss the gang! Tell them I said hi and I will make my once a month drive by soon!

I finally finished my taxes!!!!!!!!!

I knew I must have done something wrong the first time, but I was to chicken to check till the last minute. Sure enough, I missed some standard $9,900 deduction.

Plus, ladies and gentlemen, for the first time in I don't remember how many years, we are actually getting a REFUND!
A whopping $176 DH says it's all mine!!!!!!!!!

$176 can can buy a lot of clothes at Walmart! It's been months since I bought anything new and it was most likely from Walmart! I used to get made fun of in Middle School for buying my clothes there. All the kids at my church were rich little snobs.

I doubt anyone here will even notice what kind of clothes you buy!

I hope my next shopping spree is at Motherhood!

MommyP, that's because we always had to PAY before.
I still can't believe we are actually getting a refund this year (small as it may be).
If you think about it, getting a refund is just that the government held onto your money all year, that you could have used to pay bills or invest in savings. So, $176 is good, practically breaking even. And certainly better than paying!!!!!!!!!!!

Hurray! That's great news. We are getting more back than I thought, so it must be a lucky year for DISsers. I'm just happy if we don't have to pay in, but money back is GOOG.

You're funny. And very nice. It's not just about the money. It's too close to our Cabo San Lucas trip. I don't think I could get anymore days off. I'm already one day over my vacation days now as I needed an extra day for Cabo. I thought the last Disney trip was a whirlwind and that was Friday-Monday. Trying to come for only 1 or 2 days would be too short to be worth it.
