Open Mike Night - Everyone is Welcome Part 3

Eeyore -- sorry to hear about your son. I am sure he doesn't like being away from home and sick.

Don't know where everyone is tonight. Hubby is watching hockey so I get the computer.

Kay just read you last installment. When do you go on you next trip? Mexico was it.

Sorry Bonnie,

I was reading trip reports, put kids to bed and back to bed and all the kind of stuff.

Yes I am heading to Disney in Sept.Hopefully nothing comes in the way of that.

Speaking of which Pumba must be coming home soon.

Evening, Open Mikers! Where are all the green lights? I miss talking to you guys!

Cheryl, I went to my vietnamese nail place just today. I got a spa pedicure. I ususally get a manicure too, but I didn't have time today cause I had to take my DD to a birthday party.
Hi Bonnie! It's nice that you dropped by!!! A spa pedicure sounds heavenly. You must be all ready for spring sandals now. We had a nice day today, but the warm weather doesn't seem to want to stick around, so I have plenty of time to prep for sandals :rotfl:

aaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrggggggggg!! ds 21 just called (he's at college) apparently he is sick - - again!! It's his kidneys, he's in pain...

*sigh, why would a kid who drinks water (no sodas) have to have kidney stones (last year he went thru cycles of treatment to get rid of a huge stone -)

I'm at a loss!!

this comes ONE WEEK before FINALS

dagnabit!
Oh, Sandy - so sorry to hear that. It is rough when they are sick and far away at school. I agree with Kay - make sure he has the list of stone-making foods to avoid.

Ouchie!!! It seems like some people are just prone to those darn stones.

Well once again I am pages and pages behind.

I have a confession to make. I have been spending all my (very limited this week) free time here: http://www.websudoku.com

It is super addictive. I like the "evil" ones, Chapter 11 used his power with the force to trick me into trying the "evil" ones....

Next week I am crazy busy again. I have my peer review meeting (I work 5-15 hours a week for my kids elementary school), Girl Scout SU Leaders meeting, Girl Scout Troop Leader meeting, Boy Scout Court of honor, I am watching my sisters twins for a day (at her house, so no surfing the net while they watch The Wiggles), A Camping Parent meeting, A regular GS meeting, A Parent teacher conference, two early release days (kids get out of school at 12:30), and I need to get the Mother's Day cards/gifts and mail them. :dance3:

May is one of the worst months for being busy. This year it is compounded by Max' 5th grade graduation (which I am helping to plan/pull off), but it is always like this.

So I will steal a line from Grammy; Take what you need:

 :scared1:  :confused3  :yay:  :headache: :cool1: :surfweb: :3dglasses :grouphug: :cheer2: :sad2: :goodvibes :wizard: :flower3: :crazy2: pixiedust: :beach: :coffee: :firefight :moped: :smokin:

Sandy so sorry about your son.

We could start a kidney stone farm at my house. I have cysts on my kidneys and I kick out a stone every year or so. My DH had a freakishly huge bladder stone a few years ago. My 20 year old son has had two stones (which worries me as the cyst thing is genetic).

The pain can be killer. One thing that I find works well is a RX called Ultram or Ultraset (second one also has Tylenol in it, which is the only way it works for me). I like it because it does not effect my brain (like narcotics do),it has few side effects, and I am told it is not addictive.

I'll have to send my DD that Soduko link, Haley. She was NOT able to hook me on the paper version!

Haley, maybe you should get a job and get some rest!!!

No kidding!
I wanna drive the monorail. Would be a killer commute from here though :rotfl:

Move here, an all problems are solved. Mr Silly could be outsourced from the startm and you could stiill get Disney admissions for free!

A little over a year ago I got all my work friends addicted to suduko. We would spend our lunch and breaks working them (and driving those around us who wouldn't participate crazy). I even bought (well, not really - when I got my promotion, one of my former employees bought it for me) the electronic version and was completely addicted. Then I got over it.
So I was on a plane last week and tried the easy one in the Southwest magazine.
I couldn't do it!!!! I'm out of practice! Carpola!
Hey Haley - have you seen the ones that aren't squares but different shapes? It's insane!

Hey everyone else!
we had lots of fun at the street festival/carnival. My crazy sister even came and hung out with us.
After leaving me a message saying:
"Tell Tammy to delete that email without reading it. I was being mean."
Argh!
Apparently Ms. Tammy decided to confront my sister in email. And I guess my sister responded.
For those not in the know, my sister is mentally ill. In one of her recent paranoid states, she got it in her head that Tammy had access to her medical records. She then decided to take me off her disclosure list so that I can't speak to her therapists or help her file for disability, etc.
Tammy knows it upset me and also hurts my sister in the end because I can't help - and my mother doesn't always look at things objectively so her making decisions for my sister is not good either.
Anyway.
It's a big ole mess.

I didn't mean to type all this. It just came out.
Hmm.
What I meant to type was:
We have spent a total of $160.00 this weekend! Eek! That was our Disney money for May 10th!
But it was fun.

Ok ladies, what was this thread doing on page 4?:confused3

Joe - I and some others have decided to move along to a fresh, new thread. Thanks very much for hosting this one.

Well I hope yall enjoy your new home:hug::wave:
