Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party 2024

My Goofy photo is 5 minutes after first parade start time, so it looks like I remember wrong and the meet does run throughout the parade, just without Mickey.
Awesome, thank you so much! I might try a first time during the first parade, then a second time right after the second parade ends

I'll make sure to take a peak on the 17th. We wanted to watch the parade from across the Mermaid ride anyway.

Sorry, Internet went crazy last night.

Mr Knight... he's a tough one. One clue for him showing up in the past was the amount of fog in the area - high fog meant his appearance was close. But if you can't judge the fog level that so doesn't help you. You can try asking a CM, but they are not always very helpful because Avengers Campus is supposed to be a "working Campus". So they often don't like to give out times and/or locations.

Sandersons: this is from last year and 2022, I have no confirmed info what they are doing this year. My personal experience from last year: it was pot luck. Last time I tried there was some sort of unofficial line that had formed at the left one of the "entry/exit points" because that is where they had let in in the past. Some CMs clearly were not happy, and promptly the other point (which was used as an exit later) was opened to walk in people about 30 minutes before event start. Other nights CMs did not allow people to line up at all, and there was a mass lingering in the area basically. It wasn't pretty, pretty much like the Peter Pan bulls run with strollers and all that.

I am going 9/17. Not sure if anyone is going before me, but I am making a list of questions open before I leave and will try to find out what I can. Please note I am not going to be running around to check when every treat trail opens and stuff like that. But things like "is Mr Knight on some sort of schedule or was that appearance a fluke?", "who comes out first at the Fountain, I want Pain and Panic!" or trying to get length of meet lines into some sort of order I will happily cover.
I would love and appreciate any intel on Mr. Knight. It’s our first time ever at DL or the party. My son would be over the moon!

I would love to see trip reports (for those who’ve already gone) or planning strategies (for those of us still waiting). It’s my first OBB and I’m trying to plan our itinerary.
I would love some trip reports too! I’m going next Sunday (9/15) but it’s only our second time. Hoping our strategies from last year work as well this year too.

I truly feel for anyone going to OBB tonight or Sunday. It’s sooooooo hot this week! Last night it was 94 degree at 7pm in San Clemente! So much have been hotter in Anaheim.

No parties till the 10th due to the half marathon. But this was exactly why I didn’t even consider this race weekend. I’m in AZ and it was 111 today. We are on 102 straight days over 100 degrees and the old record was 76 days!

I’m in AZ too! I’m so tired of the heat! Fingers crossed it cools down some by the end of the month.

It looks like there is a break on Wed. So Tuesdays party should be warm but Thursdays might be pretty comfortable.

Has any hotel guest been successful of getting an extra ticket to a party this year? We had someone ask if they can join us on the trip.
I was wondering the same thing. We are staying at the Grand and had one extra family member join. Had our fingers crossed the hotel would have some tickets this year but I haven't seen any reports.

I'm going next weekend

Going to 20 degree's cooler and hopefully a good time

Really wish somethings were not so random like Mr Knight and the Blue Fairy but will still enjoy the first since its my first time

109 is the all time record high in Anaheim, so id say you were there on a really rare occurrence to get 107, especially in the Fall. I'd say it probably doesn't break triple digits 90% of the time in July/Aug, much less in Sept/Oct... and maybe more humid than Phoenix, but nothing compared to Orlando, or were you talking about Orlando?
Sadly, this has been a miserably hot and humid summer for Disneyland. Really hoping with the weather changing this week, the super high numbers are behind us for the season!

But I would highly suggest a layered costume plan. Sweaty is not a fun Halloween look ;) My weather screenshot is from three days ago. I'm not even sure I took it at the hottest the day got :(

Those asking for trip reports... we went the first night! It was our first was I'm happy to answer whatever questions I can!

(Mr Knight wasn't out - we saw him years back but the only ones we saw walking around or heard about were Captain America [Steve Rogers and NOT zombie one which was too bad] and TVA Loki. Since my husband was dressed as President Loki we spent some time there and we were happy about that character. Might be different each night but that was our experience. )

I’m curious about treat trail/villain’s grove wait times. I’m hoping to prioritize Hades, Oogie Boogie, Ernesto de la Cruz, Judge Doom trails, villains grove and the parade and would love insight into how long I can expect to wait. Thanks!

Per the video's I've seen they most fast....15ish mins each or less for most treat trails

We did all of those - every villain treat trail actually except the Big Hero 6 one.

We were in Oogie Boogie line when it opened and then ended up at the Sanderson sisters (minnie and friends line) - should have reversed that order. We didn't do any treat trails where there wasn't a villain.

We did the first parade and went to villains Grove during the second.
The big line for Hades was slightly frustrating since he wasn't there when we got there. But we went back near the end of the night and there was zero line up and he was there. But he was also less animated and definitely tired which of course makes sense but something to consider.

The only waits we had at all were for the Sanderson sisters minnie ladies (which we would have skipped had we realized it wasn't a treat trail - our mistake) and waiting for the parade. Watch the parade near where it starts... that would have worked out much better.

Villains Grove was great. We did it later to really appreciate the lights. By doing it at the second parade the line was also half of what it was 20 minutes before that. But it means watching the first parade instead, so maybe, decide what is best to do in the dark dark if that's your timing plan.

We all loved Judge Doom and Sid and Ernesto. I was dressed as classic comic Scarlet Witch so also prioritized Agatha who was great, and Doofenshmirtz was severely underrated. Madam Mim was small but good.

No lines where you wait (other than the parade and Minnie photo I mentioned); everything is solid walking. 10ish minutes.

If anyone goes before this weekend and happens to see if you line up for the Sanderson sisters photo or if its just people waiting another the area, please let me know

If its people waiting around, I'll hit that first

On night one people lined up. By FAR the biggest line we had (but we didn't do any other photo ops) but all other lines looked shorter that we saw.
