One night enough for us at the CR!

I still say it's unfair to give the Contemporary this stereotype, because in my opinion all WDW Resorts with convention centers still hosts all types of meetings and etc. Take away the themes from the Grand Floridian, Boardwalk, Yacht Club and Coronado Springs they would be just the Contemporary and the convention guests are a lot more noticeable. So all I am saying is don't single out a WDW Resort based on the conventions they host since they don't have a in your face theme, when other Resorts with conventions centers have that in your face theme.

I think you are missing the point. Yes, there are many hotels that host conventions at WDW. But the fact is that the other convention hotels manage to cater to both leisure and business travelers in a way that many prefer. Sure, if you took away the themeing from the others, they'd suffer, too. But that's a moot point - the themeing is there. Every time I go into CR, I think about how bland it seems. It's unfortunate, because it has so much going for it in terms of view, the monorail and a really terrific restaurant. That doesn't mean it isn't a nice hotel - it is nice. (And I've stayed in convention hotels that were far nicer, too.)

Some people enjoy CR - you are clearly one of them- but many feel that it is lacking in themeing and charm typical of a Disney resort. It does have a certain nostalgia factor that other resorts don't have, but for many that factor doesn't make up for the understated rooms or the more business-like atmosphere.
