One became SEVEN?!? How did THAT happen? 4/24 UPDATE

Hi Judy, I jumped over here from my PTR. Since my 1/2 is on the 10th of January its possible I'll still be in Disney when you get there! Looking forward to reading more!

Hi All!!

Judy,
Would you mind if I shared Lisa's walk link on Facebook?

Judy, I love how you share so many details with us. Mayor Clayton's home is cute and I love Lisa's paving stone, the children all look proud. The insects are not my favorite. :cool1:

Guilty! ::yes:: I love pics and often they tell the story better than anything else. That paving stone was a labor of love for all of us.

Judy, what a wonderful update. I love the pictures of the kids with the paver and in the house (I'd break my back trying to get into that tiny little door ).

Those were some big grasshoppers.

I like to get unpacked too before we start our trip...it just means I can play longer and not have to worry about it.

Thanks Kathy, I love those pics as well, but they were hard to lie on. You did notice you didn't see my large fanny trying to get through the door. :lmao: THAT would have been some picture! ;)

The grasshoppers creeped me out.

YES! I like to get everything settled. I am am organized freak, it makes life SO much easier! :thumbsup2 I all I wanted to do was relax as much as possible!

:tiptoe: I am sneaking in. I have been a very bad Diser and friend. :scared:

It's been months since I logged on but just wanted to say

So excited that you are going on another trip. :dance3:

Michelle.... Michelle!!!!I am SO excited to see you here, I have MISSED YOU!!! Thanks for sneaking in! I have asked about you, wished you were here and hoped you were well!!! You are NEVER a bad DISer OR friend, I love you to pieces and I am glad to see you any time you have a free minute. I hope it isn't months before you log in again, BUT if it is, I will be happy to see you! It is so hard to believe we get to go back to Florida, I am so THANKFUL!!! Speaking of Thankful, THANK YOU for the donation to the MAW walk. :goodvibes

Judy, sorry to hear that Lisa's leg is still hurt, I know it will be hard to get her to yet another therapy, I have seen sports medicine doctors on many occasions and they are usually pretty good about working to get patients back to normal activities as soon as possible, at least the few that I have seen all were. I hope that you have a nice relaxing weekend at home with Pete and all of the kids.

Tracy, glad that you made it safely to see your sister and her baby, glad that they are doing good too.

Luckily most of the care my dad needs we have been doing for a year and a half already. The biggest change is that we have to give him levonox shots twice a day, because they took him off of his coumadin while he was in the hospital so he has to have both until his INR gets at a therapeutic level. I know you know all about the joys of that. Oh and top it all off, he got even more breakdowns while he was in the hospital, on places he has never had any like the side of his foot.

Thoughts and prayers to all that need them.

Marilyn

I am very thankful the MD wants to go the sports med route with Lisa, they will get her back to dancing quicker than regular PT would. They may actually have some suggestions on how to work her muscles, legs and limitations better than the "regular" PT, who has seen her for years (and we LOVE). Lisa has scoliosis, entire right side weakness and of course the leg length discrepancy. I am excited to think we might have some more trick in our toolbox to help her.

I am TRULY sorry about your Dad and I know it is a lot of work to provide care for his needs. I hope he will back to HIS normal soon and all of the extra problems heal quickly. I hope it is a quiet weekend for you.I DO feel the pain of trying to get his INR to his normal levels and I KNOW he will be happy to stop the lovenox shots!

Rachel just got home from a concert, I will be back.

My tired little teen just went up to bed. I had a message from Tracy earlier, things are going well. I KNOW they are thrilled to have her there.

Hi Judy! I'm glad that you had some free time earlier this week. I was the happy recipient of a kind greeting from you. :goodvibes

Not that you need life to be crazier with more appointments but hopefully the end result will be positive.

What a great honor for Lisa to have her own paver! Looks like all the kids are pretty happy to pose with it -especially David and Christian's close up on the ground. So cute. (Not sure if they appreciate being called cute so I'll change that to say how happy they look.)

Congratulations Tracy's family for the arrival of new baby. Glad to know that she had safe travels. :)
It was good not to be out from 8 or 9 in the morning until 9 or 10 at night.
:thumbsup2 It was also good to feel like I had some energy to DIS and was actually home to do it.

I am optimistic about Lisa's new therapy helping with a lot of things for her, it might be a blessing in disguise.

It was funny how excited we all were over that paver and it made me realize I really do need to get one for the entire family. They don't mind being called cute, they are! AndThank you!

Hi Judy, I jumped over here from my PTR. Since my 1/2 is on the 10th of January its possible I'll still be in Disney when you get there! Looking forward to reading more!
Hi Betsy, that would be wild if we ran in to each other again. That was an interesting story from the wish trip. :thumbsup2

:worship::worship: on the run, I am proud/happy for you!!

Hi All!!

Judy,
Would you mind if I shared Lisa's walk link on Facebook?
Dear Michele, I would be DELIGHTED if you shared the walk info. Thank YOU again for your generous donation. :goodvibes THANK YOU for offering. Praying all is well! :grouphug:

Your Mom is grinning! I know you know I say it all with love and I am THRILLED (thrilled I tell you) that you are being so proactive and the parents are stepping up! Having been room mom for too many years, I FULLY understand where you are coming from and I am so glad you have stated your needs (When I first started being the Room parent back in the dark ages we had to rely on phones and sent home messages...very ineffective compared to the Internet.

My MIL was a HUGE blessing to me during my pregnancy with Lisa and Rachel both...but we both had to compromise, bite our tongues (I know I did, :lmao::rotfl2::lmao:) and let God handle it, because we got through it! For MONTHS! My poor MIL stayed AFTER Lisa's birth March 3 until mid JUNE (she came in January!) running the house, etc while we were in Philly with Lisa. Because she had been here BEFORE the birth, she was able to handle things with my parents help AFTER the birth. (no way could/would my Mom have done that and I don't know what I would have done without Pete's mom)! My Dad likes to say it took THREE of them to replace me :rotfl2: (and that was without all of the medical stuff we deal with now).

I am just so happy you are taking charge and asking for what you need! AND that your Mom is willing to help you! Enjoy that field trip!! There will be more I know. :goodvibes

Tracy and I are both glad you are here. :goodvibes I wasn't going to lose you on the other thread. :goodvibes

Seing your newborn in NICU or PICU can be so scary and stressful. I was so encouraged Emile was over 2 pounds! That is definitely on his side!!

Yes I do know you mean very well with all the tips and everything and I do take them and use them as I can. I did do a little more than I probably should have today as I was at the school for about 3 hours helping get everything set up. I did stay off of all ladders/step ladders and basically just said where I wanted stuff. All the other mom's did all the work. Unfortunately I only had one mom show up from Sarah's class and 2 from Jeremy's class so I'm glad I did stay after picking Jeremy up from school to make sure it all got done. I could only imagine her having to decorate the booth all by herself. I know your not on FB so here's the final product:

Sarah's

Jeremy's

My MIL has good intentions but she stayed with my sister in law after my nephew came home from the hospital saying she'd help and all her help entailed was sitting in a rocking chair holding the baby. My poor sister in law did not get the rest she needed since she wasn't only just taking care of a new born but also having to take care of my MIL. I'm glad that yours was able to be there and take on the challenge of helping out. That's great they realized it took 3 of them to do what you do. :rotfl2:

Forgot to mention I love Lisa's stone!!! It's great you guys will always have that physical reminder of such a great trip you had!!

There will be lots of time to go on field trips in the future. I have a big vehicle so when we do the one's where we drive the kids I'll more than likely be picked to go. :cool1:

I was actually thinking I hadn't seen any updates here and just kept forgetting to check when I'd get on. Then I re followed your link and realized I hadn't subscribed. I'm glad you thought to remind me. :lovestruc

Good Luck to Lisa on Monday with her appointment. I really hope they are able to get her well enough to get back to ballet. We're going to start Sarah in dance next school year since that's what she wants to do. I was originally going to start it this year but with the new baby coming I knew it would be too much. So just Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts it is for now.

Continued prayers for Tracy's nephew.

What great pictures of the family with Lisa's paver stone at GKTW. Praying that the sport medicine therapy will get Lisa back to her dance lessons sooner. Have a wonderful weekend!

It looks as if you are having a school carnival? The booths look great. :goodvibes I am happy you had help and no fussing from me, you know what you need to do for you and the baby. :thumbsup2

It is amazing how folks (even our families) step up to help and then again, they don't. You know what you need the most and you know your MIL the best. I am thankful you have your Mom who will help! :grouphug:

I am trying to keep things updated here, but we all know how that can change on a dime. I am just appreciative fro those of you who understand when i am NOT able to keep up here. I know it is frustrating to sign on and not have e to be able to respond. I am still in the honeymoon phase from our last trip and not worn down yet.

Dance will be there for Sarah when you have more time. Before Lisa got her dance scholarships, I bought several DVD's about dancing for her to do at home. I couldn't afford the lessons, but she wanted to dance and that was my solution, just a thought.

I hope you have a restful weekend!! :goodvibes

What great pictures of the family with Lisa's paver stone at GKTW. Praying that the sport medicine therapy will get Lisa back to her dance lessons sooner. Have a wonderful weekend!

GAIL!!!!! I have missed you; however, I KNOW you are very busy!:hug: Praying Billy's appt went well and he got a great report. I also hope that Tiffy's appt went well and that she enjoyed her bath. ;)

Feel free to call me and share if you get a minute please, we didn't have nearly enough time to catch up the other night! I hope the weather has been good so you all could get everything done.

Thank you for your continued prayers. :goodvibes I hope you have a marvelous weekend as well. :thumbsup2 Love you Bunches!!:love:

Hi Judy, Billy hasn't had his appointment yet. I got the day wrong. He'll be going on Monday. Tiffy is on a diet. She has to loose some weight so we are not giving her any other food except her dog food and one dog treat. It's been hard for her but it's for her own good and health. She also has to have drops put into her eyes. Vet isn't sure if she has allergies or if her eyelids are irritating them so want to try the drops to see if her tearing will clear up. I'll call after Billy's appointment so you can hear how his eyes are doing. We got some rain during the night yesterday and the wind was blowing all day. Need to get outside today and pick up the pecans on the ground. Billy says there are a lot of them.

Judy, I hope that the sports medicine doctor can give you some tips to help with Lisa's over all development too. It should get her back to dancing sooner than regular pt too, which as much as she loves it would be really good for her.

The one good thing about the lovenox shots is that my dad can't actually feel anything from the lower part of his chest down so they don't hurt him at all. He usually ask when we are going to stick him and we are already done.

Hope that ya'll have a nice relaxing weekend at home, and hopefully it isn't as cold up there as it is down here right now.

Thoughts and prayers to all that need them.

I will look forward to hearing good news for Billy when you have time to call. Poor little Tiffy, tell her I feel her pain. I am trying to do the same thing...well, no dog food, but you know what I mean. :rotfl2: The news about the jerky treats worried me the other day, I wondered if it had anything to do with the strange illness Bandit had last January. Oh Gail more eyedrops for your family! Poor Tiffy, I hope she doesn't mind too much...I know Billy could give her a few tips, he has had so many. ;) I bet there are a LOT of pecans, I wish I could help you!! THANK YOU for the update. :goodvibes

That is exactly what the MD said Thursday about Lisa and the sports med doc. It makes good sense. I am so sorry your Dad has no feeling; however, I AM glad the shots don't hurt.

It has warmed up this afternoon, it is 57 degrees. Christian, David, and Rachel each have friends coming over tonight to roast weenies and make s'mores, it is good weather for that. After everybody gets fed and no longer needs my services, I will retire upstairs and let them have the downstairs, it will be a late night. Pete is taking Lisa to the Party Store to look at Halloween "stuff" and get ideas. I have promised myself 1 toasted marshmallow after my salad. I don't care for hot dogs, so that isn't a temptation...s'mores are! :lmao:

Praying you are all having a great weekend. I might post a mini update tonight. I love PTR;s SO much better than TR's! Tracy said she would write the TR for hits, with input from me...I am okay with that! I also have some books to read that Gail sent me, I think tonight is a good night to delve a bit deeper! Should help me with my eating odyssey. :goodvibes

Wow I am way behind.
Diane (hope I got your name right) our prayers are with you. I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your brother.
Tracy gladthe baby got here safely we will be praying for little Emile and his mom.

Judy love all the updates and pics. When you explained why Lisa has such a special place in her heart for MLP's I thought of Jonnie and ducks. They were his comfort item when he was very small and he still loves them. I am sorry to hear that Lisas leg is still having such problems. I will be praying that the sports medicine referral makes a difference. I amm so excited for you still. I know what a difference having something to look forward to makes. I am certain that all the wonderful things John has had to look forward too have made a huge difference in his health. I plan on keeping this up as much as I can. Speaking of which we have some amazing news about Johns wishes I really cant wait to share.

I wanted to post a few pics of the resort we stayed in this past September, Vacation Village at Parkway. It is a fabulous resort with pools, nature trails, fitness room, activities and more. We love it! The location is right at 192 and I-4, directly across from Celebration, Florida. It is incredibly convenient and close to everything. Petes brother was given my in-laws time share years ago, so he has the ability to vacation yearly in great locales. He was unable to use his points this year before they expired in September, so he allowed us to use them. The offer came June 27 (I think) and we jumped at the offer to go back to Florida!! It IS our happy place after all.

We get both sides of the unit when we go. That means 2 kitchens (1 with a stove/oven, 1 with burners, no oven), 2 baths, 2 washer and dryer units, 2 jacuzzis, 2 balconies, 2 master suites, 2 dining/living areas, 1 large entrance hall and 4 televisions. It truly IS perfect for us! As you see, it is spacious and luxurious. I couldnt ask for anything more.

I got through reading everything and I can't believe how grown up all your kids have gotten in the last two years. I'm not really sure about my plans and park time versus hanging out at DTD or checking out the otehr resorts. One day I'd like to say I've spent time at every resort, without having to stay at them all. :rotfl2:

What a great timeshare rental! The girls look very comfortable in that master bedroom.

What a beautiful resort. That kitchen is nicer than mine. :) Is this the same resort as the one last October? (Was it October?? I remember the Halloween decorations and parade so I'm assuming it was around them.)

The unit is definitely spacious enough for your family and the girls look very happy to stretch out on that bed!

I'd definitely leave the task of ushering the little bitty frog outside to a young man!

Your happy news was just what I needed to see this week. I am so happy for all of you. I was able to smile instead of cry for the first time in 3 days.
On Sunday one of my younger brothers was tragically killed in a hunting accident.

My heart goes out to you and your family. I am praying for the Lord to bring you all comfort.

Judy, I finally got over here to your new TR and I am so thrilled for you and your family being blessed with another trip. Thank you DisNorth!

Great resort pictures, Judy. That sure is a lot of room for your family.

What a cute little frog who hitched a ride. :)

My nephew was born 3 weeks early and was 4 lbs and was in the NICU for 3 weeks. He came home on his due date. It is scary but I'm hoping and praying for you guys that everything goes well.
It is scary to see they all tiny hooked up to all the lines but so far everything is doing good! Thank your for your prayers!

Seeing your newborn in NICU or PICU can be so scary and stressful. I was so encouraged Emile was over 2 pounds! That is definitely on his side!!
It is a little scary when they are all hooked up to machines, Ive gotten pass the point when I jump when ever a machine beeps, Ive learnt the important beeps from the not so important beeps.
Over 2lbs is awesome! They were predicting him to be smaller so we are so happy he is as big as he is!

Praying for both mom and baby.
Thank you for your prayers :goodvibes:

Tracy, Thank you for the update. :goodvibes Praying for everyone.
Thank you for the prayers! :goodvibes

Tracy, glad that your sister and baby are doing good and you get to see them soon.
My dad actually came home from the hospital yesterday. The doctors didn't even tell us, we found out when discharge came up. He is happy to be home and we are happy to have him there. Still a lot of at home care to do each day, but most of that will never go away and we are used to it by now.
Marilyn
Thanks Marilyn, they are doing great!
Glad your dad made it home.

working on my Disney Parks Mom Panel Round 2 questions and video.
oooOOOoooo, Thats exciting :goodvibes
Tracy, I hope that your sister and the baby are doing well still. Praying for them both.
Thank you they are doing great!

Ok Judy, the way I figure it a rental house will have a washer and dryer, thus I will only have to pack a few outfits, so my suitcase for YOUR trip will be small, so at this point I just need to know what time you plan on picking me up to go with you:rotfl2: I am only 45 minutes or so away, only a few miles off of I-85 so it will be easy to get to my house and I am a good driver so I can help with the driving :) :) :)

Just kidding, but I am so happy for all the 7 Dwarfs. I can't wait to read more about your planning!

Oh, yeah! Snow white!

I am praying for your sister and your nephew. I am gald to hear you get to be with them.
Thank you! I am glad to be here and thankful I could help.

Hi Judy. Just thought I'd tell you the weather we have had in January, which is when we usually go. Typically we don't usually even need sweatshirts during the day, of course we are Minnesotans. Most days are in the 70's with maybe a day or two in the 60's. It does get cooler at night though. I think it was our first night at Magic Kingdom and we were so tired after a late night getting to Orlando as our flight was delayed 90 minutes. As we were leaving enjoying the 70's, we noticed the people waiting for the parade all had sweatshirts on and we looked at each other like where are they from. Last year we were there the second week (which is a week earlier than usual) and it was 80's for the first 6 days. It was so wonderful to let the kids swim all they wanted. We only had 2 cooler days in the 60's. We were at DHS and it got up to 80 and it was supposed to cool down that night. But around 1 it started getting windy and cooler. We left at 3 and our car said 61°, which would have been ok for us without the wind. I actually bought a new sweatshirt because I wanted one anyway. We hadn't brought any with us because it was supposed to be so warm. And the best part is there usually is no rain! I think we've had 1 day in all our trips that it rained for more than a very short time.
Thanks for the info! Much like you, Ill be coming from the cold so I am looking forward to the break from snow. The weather in January sounds perfect for me. No rain would be excellent, I can hope we will be that lucky! And any much more over 70 and I start melting, anyways, :rotfl:

I want to thank all of you for your prayers and good wishes. This has truly been the longest week of my life. There are still so many unanswered questions. While the answers won't bring my brother back the rest of us would like to know what happened. The investigation is still open. We believe it was an accident but feel like some things are being covered up as we have heard several different stories as to what happened. The funeral is this morning. I went back to school Wednesday evening and yesterday for Parent/Teacher conferences. I had been told not to worry about it but couldn't imagine rescheduling 26 conferences. It would have taken me a month to get them all in as I would have only been able to get 1 or 2 in a day before or after school. I had 1 family that was out of town that I was originally supposed to do on Monday, so only having 1 to reschedule is easy. Everybody else showed up and all of the hugs from the kids really helped.
 Continued prayers for you and your family. I hope you can get some closure and answers.

Glad to hear that Tracy made it to see her sister and nephew and that everything is good.

Prayers to all who need them, and have a great weekend.
Thanks! :thumbsup2 Hope you are having a great weekend too!

I'm here! What a wonderful surprise and trip!

Sending lots of pixie dust from WDW for anyone who needs it.

Hope you are having a great time!! pixiedust:

I'm here!! Oh, Judy and Tracy - reading your news gave me chills! How exciting for you all to be together and get to go to Florida again so soon. This is fantastic!!!
Tracy, I do hope your nephew is doing well and just needs to rest and gain weight while in the NICU.
I've been away too long....been a difficult time with my grandfather's illness. He passed away on Oct 2nd after 3 months of illness. Been tough 6 months for me - passing of my maternal grandmother, Shane's surgery, and illness and passing of my paternal grandfather. Shane is back to work and doing well. Has to take it easy and do things at a slower pace but really doing well. We have decided to go back to WDW in Dec 2014. I'm excited - something fun to plan for again!!!

Promise to pop on more to enjoy your thread! It puts a huge smile on my face!! :)
Welcome! So glad you stopped by, we will be glad to see you when ever you can pop in.
Nephew is doing great, just as you said he just needs to grow!
Sorry you have been having a tough time :hug , so glad you have a trip to look forward to, it dose help lift the spirits!

Congratulations Tracy's family for the arrival of new baby. Glad to know that she had safe travels. :)
Thank you!:goodvibes

Continued prayers for Tracy's nephew.
Thank you! :goodvibes

Tracy glad the baby got here safely we will be praying for little Emile and his mom.
Speaking of which we have some amazing news about Johns wishes I really cant wait to share.
Thank you!
exciting news, mmm, wonder what it is, Can’t wait to hear about it!

This little guy hitchhiked in on our luggage cart. He was barely the size of a quarter. David took him downstairs and let him loose in the wooded areas.
file_zps8c5c83aa.jpg

AWN, he’s cute, glad David released him somewhere safer than the luggage cart!
Great updates Judy! Glad you have had some time to do them. I feel bad I haven’t been able to check in as often, but you are keeping everyone entertained

My sister got released today, all her levels are back to normal now that the pesky placenta is out of the way.
Emile is right on track, no complecations he is just tiny and needs to grow a bit.
He is as cute as can be, he kinds of reminds me of a new born kitten, wrinkly and eyes not open yet. :)

I know this is really dark, his 'pod' is kept dark (unless he need the UV light for jaundice, but he gets 'sunglasses' when he sun tans.)
This me and my nephew:

AACKKKK!!! I missed your phone call...TWICE tonight!?!? I was upstairs all night; however, we keep the phones off upstairs and I had no idea you had called. I am so sorry, I would have loved to chat and I actually had the time. I just sent the last teen home, older ones do their own thing, I don't have to worry. The last teen who left said how glad she was she came, she had been feeling sick with a cold and sore throat all day and wasn't sure she would make it...UM, you shouldn't?!!! Now I have to be concerned if we get sick, thinking positively we don't!

I am excited to hear more plans and still waiting patiently for you to post all of the fun you have been having. Praying the children are well!

Betsy, first THANK YOU for the donation to our Make a Wish walk fundraiser!! :goodvibes It is two weeks away and we are still trying to meet our goal.

The kids were so young two years ago, they seem so mature now. Even Lisa. I love it when she snuggles on my lap, but typically that means she isn't feeling well, so it is a catch 22. I think a tour of the resorts is a great idea, we have seen a couple and I am always in awe.

I LOVE that resort. I could sell all of my stuff, move to Florida and live in one of them year round...dare to dream!

Those kitchens are both nicer than mine. :rotfl2: Last year we went at exactly the dame time (My BD) and stayed in the same resort, same floor, one room over.
It should be mine now. :lmao:

Poor girls, they slept on the pull out sofa, but the entire family room was there's. They didn't complain, they were happy to be in Florida. :goodvibes

Living with three men I rarely have to worry about moving out the critters. I am glad!
My heart goes out to you and your family. I am praying for the Lord to bring you all comfort.

Judy, I finally got over here to your new TR and I am so thrilled for you and your family being blessed with another trip. Thank you DisNorth!

YEA Debbie, so happy you found us! :goodvibes It is a total blessings, I was commenting today how thankful I was we told the children with Tracy last week, especially in view of her traveling to help her sister. Who knows when they would have found out. David said he was so thankful to know, it helped him get through the week. Tracy is a special lady to do this with/for us!!!
