One became SEVEN?!? How did THAT happen? 4/24 UPDATE

Your happy news was just what I needed to see this week. I am so happy for all of you. I was able to smile instead of cry for the first time in 3 days.
On Sunday one of my younger brothers was tragically killed in a hunting accident. He was hunting deer and somehow one of the other hunters shot him in the lower back. It hit the artery near the groin so he died very quickly. Needless to say my family is reeling and having the accident investigated by several agencies makes it worse. Even the federal agencies are involved because it happened on an Indian Reservation. Having this happen only 15 months after my Mom passing makes this that much harder to deal with. My brother was very aware of safety issues and took every precaution, been trained by master hunters and had 20 years of experience without any accidents . Unfortunately this time there was an inexperienced hunter with the group. My other siblings and I are being immersed into some of the Native American traditions as my sister-in-law is Native American and my brother embraced her traditions. It is a learning experience but one I'd gladly not have to go through.
My prayers and sympathy wil ring hollow I know in your grief-stricken heart; however, I truly want you to know I am praying for you to find peace and forgiveness. I HONESTLY can't imagine how you feel, I am sure there are many questions and too few answers that can bring comfort. I am truly sorry!
Thanks you all, Emile was born this evening he is 980grams (2lbs, 2oz) mom and baby are doing ok.

Continued prayers for your dad, hope he can go home soon

I am so sorry for your loss! Praying for your family.
Thanks for the email so I could go to sleep. I loved the names and I am thrilled Mom and Baby are in excellent hands/care. :woohoo::hug::hug::woohoo:

For those unfamiliar with Make a Wish trips to Disney, there is a wonderful Home away from Home called Give Kids the World that for 6 nights help the entire family forget about the pain of medical procedures, help you forget that your child has a life-threatening illness, helps you feel like you are almost just like other families, without many cares in the world. There is a very special place at GKTW called The Castle of Miracles. This castle houses stars that are made by EVERY wish child that stays at the Village. Just before Lisa’s wish trip they opened up an extra addition to the castle, called the Star Tower and this is where Lisa’s Star lives, in the Duck galaxy. They located Lisa’s star, (which she decorated 2 years ago) and we took some pics in the star tower. After that, we took Lisa’s Star passport over to the Star Fairy and she showed us some pics from her trip. I don’t know if you can see them, but I took as many as we could...it was great to see them, the village holds many fond memories for us. When we finished reminiscing in the Castle of Miracles we headed over to the ICE CREAM PARLOR!!! Pete and the children had their first Ice Cream of the trip and they said it was yummy. I wasn't feeling well (lack of sleep and doing too much, plus the heat) so I skipped it, but would have some later in the week. It was SO wonderful to see the children relaxing, having fun and just being thankful to be at the village.

This is a great time for me to mention our Walk for Wishes event next Saturday. We are still very short of our goal if anyone wants to help. Every $1 helps a child get closer to their one true wish!

Holy guacamole! This was not what I expected. I expected to come over here and find a report of your most recent trip, but this is beyond AWESOME!!!

I am really short for time today but read everything b/c I am so excited for ALL of you!

I do want to mention my sympathies for the loss of your uncle. And I also want you to know I am concerned for Lisa's leg.

Prayers to all in need.

I will be back later. Today we are touring the only two possible private schools in our city that our kids can go to next year.

I KNEW you would be shocked. ::yes:: CAN YOU BELIEVE IT???!!!??? It is still making me reel...but in a great way! I am gong to post some of the highlights from the trip, probably not in a TR kind of way, but some of the highlights...it really WAS a wonderful time and I can't believe we get to do it again...and so soon!!!

Lisa said she was feeling better in her left leg (her right leg will alway have the claudication, it is smaller, shorter and has the occlusions...but she rarely lets me know it is a problem). IF she is better today we will let her go to ballet, but ONLY for Upper body stuff. She will be rechecked tomorrow for her left leg. I pray the private schools for next year are JUST what you need for the children. I know how stressful that is.:hug: How is your shoulder? Have you been able to sew any? Garden? That is when I will know it is healing!

Prayers for you and everyone else as well.

Judy, love seeing all the pictures from your time at GKTW and the special meet and greet with Twinkle Hope for Lisa. What wonderful memories you all had when you were there for Lisa's wish trip. So glad that they allow past families to return for a visit. It was nice we were able to talk and catch up on each other for a bit yesterday.

Tracy, praying for your sister and new nephew. So glad to read they are doing fine. It was nice to read more about you and your job sure sounds interesting!

Bushdianee, Prayers for you on the loss of your brother.

Praying for all the needs!

I love the pics in the Castle. Looking at Lisa's star brought tears to my eyes. She looks so happy and full of life.

Okay, I've got tears in my eyes seeing Lisa pointing up to her star. Such a special place for all of you. Thank you for sharing the pictures.

(I know you've not kept up with my TR...and no complaints, but wanted you to know my last update included the tribute to my dad if you want to take a peek).

It was great to talk with you as well Gail, I think we needed another hour to fully catch up though!

I am so thankful GKTW always allows us to call it our home, it is such a blessing to go back and just be there. We really don't do anything fancy, just hang out and it is so great to just soak it all in. I will be forever grateful to have been there with my family.

She has the biggest zest for life and God lives in her heart...it is a great combination. :goodvibes

Aww Kathy I know what you mean about the tears, it is just so special to be there at the village and I am glad to share it with you all I know how blessed we truly are.

I actually WAS keeping up with your TR (well, as much as I can :o), but with the start of your new PTR I had a brain lapse. You don't have the link in your siggie to it AND I meant to tell you yesterday the link in your siggie to your PTR isn't working...an I am lazy. :lmao:

I am glad you sent me over, you know I always love how you give a balloon to a child in honor of your Dad, speaking of making tears come to my eyes, that is always so beautiful and touching. You are so sweet. :flower3:

I was charging the battery on an old camera I gave the girls and discovered these little gems them goofing around yesterday. This time they were pretending to be Rock Stars. Before you laugh, they truly are quite talented, here is a recent video of them performing together with Pete.

The surprise pics made me smile and I hope they make you smile as well.

Tracy...you will be exhausted after a week with us. :rotfl:

Tracy, I am so glad to hear your sister and little Emile are both OK. I hope you are able to get over for a visit soon.

Diane, so sorry to hear about your brother. I pray God will comfort you and the rest of your family during this time.

Great pictures from GKTW! I always love to see what you all have been up to!

Must run and get Ezra to kindergarten. He's had 5 good days in a row (no headaches and good behavior, too), so I am hopeful maybe he is starting to get into the groove of things. Parent/teacher conferences on Friday, should be interesting!

I think I fixed the link. No, I don't have the link to my TR as everyone was already there and I thought the PTR link was more important.

Thank you, Judy.

I LOVE the Rock Stars photos...the girls look great. And I love that Bandit slept through the whole thing.

I just listened to the girls performing again. :worship: They are amazingly talented and I love the pics of them fooling around as rockstars.

So excited for y'all! Another trip! Yay! Hope everybody is doing well today.

GARRY! Thank you for the donation to the MAW walk in honor of Wendy. I do pray she is well. :goodvibes:goodvibes

Praying all went well at school for Ezra and EVERYBODY! :grouphug:
Thank you, Judy.

Thank you my dear, I appreciate that...visions of dreams to come, if that continues to be what makes them happy. :goodvibes

SO glad you are here!! Reminds me I need to post our last two Disney movie nights. (I always think of movie nights when I think of you).:goodvibes

We WILL meet! :goodvibes Okay lady, you need to do whatever you have to do BEFORE the doctor puts you on forced bedrest! The word NO is your friend and zI give you permission to say it. NOW is the time to ask for help, having BEEN on forced bedrest, I assure you this is easier now, than when they actually do it! You know what to eat, just think of that baby and the alternatives. Okay, taking my nurse hat off (don't forget I did prenatal education, I WILL get all tough on you :rotfl2:) Seriously though, I know it is hard with three little ones, just remember how hard it will be if Mom is in bed 24/7. My MIL had to come stay...TWICE and for months. I love her dearly, BUT you don't want that! Praying for you sweetie!

Jeremy had a great idea for costumes and I am happy you were able to find the Wendy dress, because Sarah (and al of them) were adorable!

Yes we will!! :lovestruc Yes Mom!! I'll try to take it easy. :rotfl2: I actually sent an email out last night to both Jeremy and Sarah's room parent's (I'm one of them also, for both classes) basically telling them if I didn't have any one to come in on Friday and help decorate our booths for our Harvest Festival on Saturday our booth would not be decorated since I have been given strict guidelines by my Dr. to take things easy and if I didn't she would make me. By this morning I had about 3 emails from Sarah's class and 2 from Jeremy's with people telling me to give them what I have to decorate the booths, tell them my thoughts on what I wanted done and they would take care of it. So tonight Jeff worked on the banner for Jeremy's class (will finish it up tomorrow night) and I'll turn everything over to the other mom's Friday morning. I've also sent out more requests for help in regards to people working in our booth's again stating what my Dr. told me and I've already gotten a couple more people signed up. Guess I should have pushed the pregnancy angle a week or two ago instead of just asking for help. :rotfl2:

I have been cleared though to still go on Sarah's field trip to the pumpkin patch. It's only a couple of hours and as long as I bring plenty of water with me, eat breakfast, bring a couple snacks my Dr. is fine with it. She told me she doesn't want me to just sit (she knows I wouldn't be able to follow it and basically said as much) but she also doesn't want me to over do it. This will be my last field trip though until after the baby is born.

So some how I posted on here and then never subscribed. :confused3 I love the pictures of you Lisa getting to meet Twinkle Hope!! I grew up watching MLP!! I'm so glad you guys got this trip and got to go back. You all look so happy and relaxed just enjoying your ice cream.

Prayers for Disnorth's new nephew and his mom!

I could never have my MIL come and stay with us to "help"!! I'd end up doing more than I would have if she wasn't here. She's not much help unfortunately. I can have her come for a couple hours here and there to watch the kids but long term nope sorry I'm not a violent person but I'd probably push her out the door and down the steps!! Now my mom on the other hand would be a big help and she'd be here if it ever reached that point. She's already going to come down about a week or two before the baby is due (probably sooner) to help me get all the final stuff done before the baby get's here. Then she'll stay for a couple weeks while I get everything back on track.

I am praying for your loved ones. I wish you were closer to her.
Thank you, I wish I was closer too, but they are doing ok, and I've made plans to fly down tomorrow (Thursday).

Tracy, praying for your sister and new nephew. So glad to read they are doing fine. It was nice to read more about you and your job sure sounds interesting!
Thank you for the prayers.
Some days my job sounds more interesting than it is. :rolleyes1 Naw, it is a very interesting job and keeps me very busy!

The surprise pics made me smile and I wanted to share.

Tracy...you will be exhausted after a week with us. :rotfl:

Love the all the photos you posted. Can't wait to see Lisa's star, and hang out with the rocker girls! I think my sides will hurt all week from laughing!

Tracy, I am so glad to hear your sister and little Emile are both OK. I hope you are able to get over for a visit soon.
Thanks you, I am flying down tomorrow, can't wait to see them!

Tracy, any news on your sister and nephew?
Judy, have you heard anything?
Thanks for asking! My sister is tired and recovering from surgery but well. Nephew is stable in NICU.

Prayers for Disnorth's new nephew and his mom!
Sandra, glad you are getting some help!
Thank you for the prayers!

Sandra, glad you are getting some help!
Thank you for the prayers!

Thank you so am I.

My nephew was born 3 weeks early and was 4 lbs and was in the NICU for 3 weeks. He came home on his due date. It is scary but I'm hoping and praying for you guys that everything goes well.

I have had a little extra time this week because Lisa hasn't had ballet, but I would have rather been there, than having her in pain (which she will NOT tell me unless I point blank press her). We see the MD again today and see if she feels it is healing or if we need to do anything else...

Tracy, any news on your sister and nephew?
Judy, have you heard anything?
Often I will hear more than Tracy has had time to post here (as in this case); however, I will be very sensitive to not share news she hasn't said I can. I know you understand. :goodvibes We both know you simply care enough to ask and want to know how best to pray! That means a lot to us!!! Thank you!!!

Your Mom is grinning! I know you know I say it all with love and I am THRILLED (thrilled I tell you) that you are being so proactive and the parents are stepping up! Having been room mom for too many years, I FULLY understand where you are coming from and I am so glad you have stated your needs (When I first started being the Room parent back in the dark ages we had to rely on phones and sent home messages...very ineffective compared to the Internet.

My MIL was a HUGE blessing to me during my pregnancy with Lisa and Rachel both...but we both had to compromise, bite our tongues (I know I did, :lmao::rotfl2::lmao:) and let God handle it, because we got through it! For MONTHS! My poor MIL stayed AFTER Lisa's birth March 3 until mid JUNE (she came in January!) running the house, etc while we were in Philly with Lisa. Because she had been here BEFORE the birth, she was able to handle things with my parents help AFTER the birth. (no way could/would my Mom have done that and I don't know what I would have done without Pete's mom)! My Dad likes to say it took THREE of them to replace me :rotfl2: (and that was without all of the medical stuff we deal with now).

I am just so happy you are taking charge and asking for what you need! AND that your Mom is willing to help you! Enjoy that field trip!! There will be more I know. :goodvibes

Tracy and I are both glad you are here. :goodvibes I wasn't going to lose you on the other thread. :goodvibes

I am so excited to share GKTW with you!

Yes, the laughter is going to make us sore if last year is any indication...not to mention our hour+ talk Sunday night. :lmao:

Seing your newborn in NICU or PICU can be so scary and stressful. I was so encouraged Emile was over 2 pounds! That is definitely on his side!!

I had typed a comment and not it's gone. Busy day on tap today with appointments and theater.

Judy, watched the video again, this time with JJ and dh. Loved it. The tongue picture is too funny and so out of place for them, lol. Looks like they were having fun.

Seeing the castle and the pictures brings so much emotion. That each little hand touched their star before it was placed and what it represents.

Now I understand what you were trying to tell me about viewing the tablet and zooming on the star.

Judy, Praying for both mom and baby.

I understand Judy, I like that you don't tell everything you know about your friends without their permission. :thumbsup2

Tracy, Thank you for the update. :goodvibes Praying for everyone.

Let us know how Lisa's MD appointment goes today and hope that she gets good news about her leg.
