One became SEVEN?!? How did THAT happen? 4/24 UPDATE

Judy I’m so glad I saw your new ticker. I am forever behind so missed this fantastic new trip coming up. WOOT WOOT and How nice to meet Tracy. The DIS has just turned out to be such a wonderful group of people.
I’m reading up and LOVE LOVE the MLP photos from GKTW. I see that Lisa is (like my Katie) definitely outgrowing her little girl face and fully into the tween years. Such a beautiful family you have Judy.
I had a funny dream the other night were I was watching a play of Beauty & the Beast and a grown up Lisa was playing Belle and in my dream I was thinking how awesome that she had her wish to be a princess as Belle and here she is performing Belle as an adult. See, even though I am AWOL a lot, you & your family are in my thoughts quite a bit!
I would love to hear more about Celebration. Its also on our list of places to explore but it always gets bumped for park time!
For Bushdianee….I am so sorry for your loss, I cannot imagine how difficult it is for your family.

For Tracy – congrats on the birth of Emile – I am glad to hear they are doing well & hope he continues to grow & thrive.
Love all the pictures at GKTW and Lisa's paver.
How nice of your brother to let you use his timeshare again. It does look like a great place! lots of room.

Mary Ellen, It is so wonderful to see you. I know you are recently back from your trip "home". There are more nice folks on the DIS than not nice, at least here and for that I am thankful. :thumbsup2

Lisa constantly amazed me at how grown up she is. I am thankful as I know you are Heart Mom!! We are blessed. :goodvibes

Your dream literally brought me to tears, that is just so special! I absolutely could see Lisa playing Belle, she has the voice, the look and the desire. Talk about a dream come true! You are just so sweet, thank you for sharing. You and I ARE going to meet, I hope soon! :woohoo:

I want to live in Celebration, so pretty. There is a college right in the middle of the town, Not sure what they are "famous" for. There are trails, shopping, restaurants, playgrounds, and so much more! I want to live there!!

We were thankful Pete's brother let us use the timeshare this past September. Pete teases him and says it is the least he could do since it was given to him by Pete's parents. :lmao: We are simply thankful he let us use the points, it was very kind of him. He doesn't have to.

Just found this website that I thought you and Judy would like to look over called Satisfying Eats. Grain-Free and Sugar Free Recipes from a Southern cook. You can read about Melissa's story here http://satisfyingeats.wordpress.com/about/ and she has recipes that she has remade. I like her recipes because they are diabetic friendly and she looks like a Disney fan too! She was using a Mickey head cookie cutter to make chocolate graham crackers. (scroll down the page) https://www.facebook.com/SatisfyingEats

You can also register for free to hear interviews for the first Gluten Summit November 11 to 17 where "29 of the world’s experts and opinion leaders on the topics of gluten-related disorders, nutrition and healthy living for a series of online interviews".

Judy, Glad that the family got to enjoy the same resort and I wouldn't mind living there too! Someone else does the yard work :) Hope the books are enlightening and helpful.

Tracy, Glad you got to meet your new little nephew. Keeping him and your sister in my prayers. Thanks for sharing a picture of him.
Gail,

I perused that website, she has some good recipes and the cookbook looks great. Some of the substitutes are pricey, but she did a great job changing her body, way of thinking and life. Thank you for sharing!

I wil also chekc out the summit and hope I can listen.

We finally had a chance to watch the CD you and Billy sent us, we LOVED it! I honestly think he could have another career if he wanted in video editing and as a videographer, he has a good eye/ear for it! So do you and I wondered if you did any of it?? :goodvibes

If you didn't have to worry about yard work I would be so happy! :thumbsup2 I could see you moving closer to me. :rolleyes1

Tell Billy good luck tomorrow at the MD.

Judy, I love the resort pictures, the children look happy.

Tracy, thank you for the picture of Emile, he is tiny and precious.

They had a fabulous time. They really needed it, we have had some stress.
You are welcome. We weren't able to participate in our local Walk for Wishes this year, so I'm glad to be able to do so.

As far as Wendy - she had to have her spleen, gall bladder and some Lymph Nodes removed a few weeks ago because her tumor had metastisized. But under the circumstances she is doing well. The Lord has helped her to have a great attitude about her health issues.
Thank you again Garry. :goodvibes It is great to see you back on the DIS. :thumbsup2

I am sorry Wendy has had so many additional challenges and even more surgery. I understand the strength God brings to her to face all that she does. I am thankful she has her faith and a wonderful family to support her as well.

It is scary but just remember they are there to help him as needed.

Glad to hear your sister was able to go home. He is a cutie!!! Thank you for sharing! Continued prayers!
Thank you. The nurses are great at explaining things and helping put the mind at ease.

Awwww thanks for sharing Tracy! How precious.
:cutie:

Ooh I would love sleep. I collapse by 10 and then wake every hour until 5. Not a good thing.
Not a good thing at all, sounds like your little princes is keeping you buys. Do take care of yourself too, hope you can get some better sleep!

Hi Ladies,

Tracy thanks for sharing your wonderful new nephew!! Congratulations to you and your family!!! Saying prayers for mom, baby, and all of you!!!

Judy loving the pictures of your last trip!!! The pony, the paving stone, the stars, and the ice cream are reminders of all the magic!!!! So glad you guys got to relive it again!!!! Oh and pictures of the resort look awesome!!!! Although I must admit I am confused by the 2 of everything!!! :confused3 It sounds totally awesome to have so much room but I'm wondering is that how all there units are set up or is their a reason you ended up with 2?!? So glad that you could get a room away from the elevator noise. That worked out great!!!

Okay see you both soon to hear more!!!! :yay::beach:pixiedust:

Madeline
Hi Madeline! Always a delight to see you! :goodvibes

I KNOW the pics bring back happy memories for you as well. Such a fabulous place!

The two of everything does seem strange, I know. All of the units are like this. There is a large entrance way (David is standing in ours in the pic) that enters from the hall. There are two villas, you can rent either side or both sides. With the points we get both sides. One side has a kitchen with everything but a stove, the other has a full kitchen with a stove...therefore, since we have both sides we get two of everything. Each side has a family area, King size master suite with jacuzzis, washer and dryer and full bath. The girls take the family room in the suite with no stove and have that entire area to spread out..and they do! :lmao: I hope that makes sense.

How is Mallory liking homeschool?? Is she feeling well?? How about you?

I don't mind hosting but when I'm going to be 7+ months pregnant it's just to much. Not that I don't enjoy spending time with our families it's just so much I can do. I need to be able to come and go not be stuck with people who don't know how to leave.

That is always a great feeling when they want to be with you and each other!! Mine still have issues playing together but they are still learning.

I got to sleep in until about 9:30 am. But I did get woke up about 2 am by a crying 3 year old. Poor baby woke up very congested and complaining that his mouth hurt. Once I put on the humidifier, gave him some medicine and cuddled with him for a little bit he finally calmed down and went back to sleep. But that didn't help me in falling back to sleep until about 4 am. Thank goodness DH was able to get up with this kids this morning and let me get that rest.

I don't mind hosting but being 7+ months pregnant is just too much. I'm actually looking forward to a less stress holiday's this year.

Thanks for the info! I'll have to check it out when I have the opportunity.

We are all agreeing with you that pregnancy is the BEST reason to not host! Chiara was pregnant last year for the holidays. Hosting can be fun, it can also be a lot of work, stress and gets expensive, even when folks bring dishes. I know you are a fabulous hostess, one day you can host me. :thumbsup2 And you can tell me to leave too if I stay too late. :lmao: I am so sorry you had a little one who wasn't well.:hug: Praying you don't get sick. Get lots of rest when you can, I know you will. I hope this is coming out right, sometimes I trip over my words, as you know and talk in circles...I hope the coming week is a happy one.

What a beautiful sight Emile is! :goodvibes
Judy, I just posted the link again. I hope it gets a couple of donations for you all.
Thoughts and prayers to all!
In case you are interested here are the latest pictures of the inside of the house.
Thanks for trying to help us raise money for MAW Michele. :goodvibes if everyone who read here gave a $1...wow! Although you do have to give a minimum of $5 to donate online.

I loved the latest pics, so fun! :yay::yay:

TRACY!!! I have no idea what else I can possibly say to you tonight except GOOD NIGHT!!! (Don't faint). :lmao::rotfl2::lmao:

Since you all had such nice things to say about the last photo, here is another one from today.

Thank you. The nurses are great at explaining things and helping put the mind at ease.

That's great they are keeping you guys informed. That is the one thing that drove my sister in law crazy about my nephew. She'd ask questions and get the run around. She wasn't one to push for answers so if I happened to be there I'd push for her. Only way she got any info from what I was told later. Now I will say my nephew is a very happy, healthy 5 year old in Kindergarten!! So continued prayers that Emile grows and gets all that he needs!! He is a cutie and I'd love to just caress those cute little cheeks!!

I know and appreciate all the good thoughts and comments. I'm actually glad to have a reason to not host this year. :rotfl2: I'd never ask you to leave because who knows when the next visit would be. He seems to be doing a little bit better today but the cough he had last night makes me think he has croup again. He had it last year and from what I remember them telling me about 2 months ago when he wasn't feeling well (they also heard him coughing and said that's what it sounded like) that he's more susceptible to it now. I'm trying to stay as healthy as possible. Tomorrow is the only busy day this week for me (Sarah's field trip to the pumpkin patch). She is soooo excited and can't wait!! I understand what your saying and appreciate it all!! Have a great week and hope Lisa's appointment goes well tomorrow!

I will be reading when I can today. Lisa has her Sports MD appt, and I am HOPING they start rehab. I have a mammogram appt. and Lisa has speech, Lisa is also supposed to have ballet (we will get a ruling on that at the MD appt), Rachel and Lisa both have theater class and David has woodworking.

Praying you all have a great start to your week.

How can you resist those squishy cheeks and little fingers?

Good Night!!
I can't, so cute!!

It actually took me another 90 minutes to go to bed, :lmao: Silly me! I kept looking, :lmao:

You definitely have to be assertive sometimes to get the info you need/want. PTL your nephew is well!!

Thank you my dear, I would never want to cause you added stress because my words came out wrong.:goodvibes I hope you have a marvelous day and that everyone stays healthy and happy. I hope there are LOTS of pretty pumpkins at the farm, I have been pumpkin picking with all 4 of mine at this age and it was a great time, I know you will enjoy it. :goodvibes

Love you bunches.

Tracy, what a precious gift your nephew is. Who wouldn't want to see pictures of him? I know I could go back and look, but this is easier -- How many weeks did he make it in the womb before he was born? I'm so grateful that he made it long enough that the docs took care of him. I know someone who was five days short of the medical definition of miscarriage v premature, so when she delivered her little one, the hospital made refused to make any effort to sustain his life. (It happened when they were out of town, so they didn't even have their own doctor or hospital.) They took pictures and held him for several hours until he took his last breath. Heartbreaking. All that to say that I am so happy that your nephew, even though he is so tiny, is being lovingly cared for.

Tracy, I am praying for your nephew and his whole family. In 1967, when my daughter was born (weighing 2 lbs 6 oz,) they allowed me 1 phone call to the NICU per day at a specific time--miss it, too bad. I was allowed to look at her through the NICU window twice a week for 15 minutes maximum and allowed 1 visitor besides myself to view her. Things are so much better now!

I would have gone nuts, but a friend from high school was doing her pediatric residency in the NICU and she called me daily to give me more personal and less clinical updates. It was still very difficult.

We just returned from the Sports Medicine MD. Before he allows Lisa to start any rehab, he wants to ensure she doesn't have any evidence of avascular necrosis. Because of her femoral occlusion, as well as her medications, he feels she needs an MRI before we can move forward. I have asked them to please put a rush on the MRI, so maybe they will get it done this week, vs next week. I certainly hope so. She is REALLY missing her ballet class and is getting tight from not being able to stretch. He did say she could start some hip flexor and quadriceps stretches, as well as straight leg raises. This is very frustrating for us all. He pulled her so many different ways that had both myself and the resident MD wincing and Lisa didnt bat an eye. He told her he wasn't sure he could trust her pain threshold or her to tell him she was hurting. She actually was biting her lips to not giggle. After he left she told me she was thinking of something funny Christian had told her. She has the ability to zen out which is good...and bad... We have an hour before I have to leave again, so time for math. I would appreciate your prayers please as we wait.

Praying that you get the order for the MRI very quickly so Lisa can get going on her rehab.

Okay, Mrs. Thang, I can't keep up with you and Tracy! Ya'll are getting busy with the updates. I love the pictures with the kids beside the paver. It's so special to know that there's something there to commemorate Lisa's wish trip. You know those grasshoppers? We have them here in Louisiana and the stupid things like to hop on our plants and eat 'em up. Let's just say that they only make that mistake once after I catch them in the act.:rolleyes1

The time share looks so pretty and I know that it's a great feeling to know you have a lot of space to move around in.

Praying that the MRI can be ordered and done quickly so that a therapy plan can be put into place.

Tracy, thanks for posting pictures of that sweet little nephew of your's. Continued prayers for him!

hello just thought i'd let you know that in 1979 my sister was born at 25 weeks in the womb, she weighed 1.9 oz and dropped to 1.7 she spent 99 days in NICU and 3 days in the reg nursery and then came home.. at Age 2 she had eye surgury for a lazy eye and today she is a health happy 34 year old woman! sending your family positive thoughts and pixie dust! Michelle

Tracy, what a cutie Emile is.

Judy, praying that the MRI is scheduled quickley and that Lisa gets treatment soon.
