Onboard Day One Planning

Our Treasure cruise is rapidly approaching, the schedules/excursions are set, and I'm even starting to get a little excited (I don't like counting chicks before they hatch, so to speak). We have a few odds and ends to handle as a couple when we get onboard Day 1, and it's been a long time since we've had to worry about that. So I am looking for some advice and insight (and locations) from more experienced cruisers. This cruise will just be my wife and I, so we can be pretty flexible.

We were fortunate enough to pre-book almost everything we wanted. But we would like to see whether we can adjust the schedule for one or two things once onboard. We have a wishlist of things to book/rebook/verify once we get onboard. We are willing and able to split up and maximize our opportunities. Here is the list of goals:

1) Book Mixology
2) Rainforest Room (for the week) - overpriced I know, but nonetheless a priority
3) Dining Preferences (we are second sitting, which make sense as two adults) - would prefer to sit by ourselves, and we may want to pick a starting restaurant to ensure we get to 1923 twice.
4) Palo Brunch - we currently have this on Day 6; since we are eating at Enchante for dinner the night before, I'd prefer to have it on Day 2 or 3

I think I put those requests in our preferred priority order. As we are taking the DCL bus from a resort on Saturday morning, we are BG4.

Will Disney let us know in advance where to go to check availability on those things? Or is it always the same place? I know for the spa...we need to go to the spa. And I suspect to check on the Palo swapperoo (which I am NOT counting on at all...I just want to check), I probably go to Palo. But I do not know where to go for Mixology or Dining adjustments/requests.

Assuming we split up, where should we go first? Any advice or experience would be most helpful and appreciated!

Since it's a 7 night cruise, you'll get 1923 twice no matter what. It's the timing with your Enchante dinner you'll want to plan around.

I think for your dining changes and Palo question, you'll need to go to Triton Lounge.

You can ask at Guest Services about Mixology -- that's where we went to have my daughter replace me at a tasting.

As lanejudy said, if you want to make a request for private dining, you can do that in advance on the Disney Cruise website by going to the Special Request area of your reservation page. If you want to start at a specific restaurant, you can make a request by calling DCL, but as Erica1016 said, on a 7-night cruise you will assigned to each main dining room at least 2 anyhow.

Extra mixology spots will be shown on the app as soon as you arrive at port and connect to the ships wifi. Book that while waiting to board.
