OMG- Zhu Zhu Pets are they the new Cabbage Patch Kids????

Whomever that is is dreaming:cloud9:
They are never going to get that amount. They are hoping that people will offer a bit less, and then that is still a huge profit. I don't think people are that stupid to pay so much. They can bid on 20 different auctions, pay shipping on each:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:, and still be under that amount

:lmao:

Reminds me of the loonies who expected to get $10,000 for the Wii last year!;)

Just found out DD7 put this toy on her Santa list. I vaguely remember seeing these Zhu Zhu thingys on a passing info-mercial, but never gave it a second look til now. Guess I'll jump on the searching train with you guys.

I walked into Walmart at 1pm today at they had 2 garages with cars and 2 wheels on the shelf. I just bought the garages...one for me and one for my sister. I have gotten lucky finding things, the stuff is out there. I hope that everyone finds what they need.

I'm planning on hitting Toys at midnight Thurs night, just undecided on what time to get there..bleh. I'm thinking 3pm or so right now, luckily we do Thanksgiving dinner on the weekend so everyone can come and there aren't any conflicts with scheduling :) They're supposed to give out tickets to the first 100 people in line, with a limit of one per customer.

Lucky you! Can I ask what aisle you found them? When I hit Wal-Mart there isn't even a spot where they might belong...same when my mom looks in the Cleveland area.

They're with the littlest pet shop and polly pocket stuff, I lucked into two funhouses at our wal-mart a couple of weeks ago. They cover over the spot though when they don't have anything in. In ours, they are literally right beside the Pucci Puppies.

So, do we know for sure that TRU will have them at midnight on Thanksgiving? I may just have to go with my friend. I really want the gray hamster.

Everything that I have seen, heard, and read says that will be the case. And yes TRU does open at midnight but anticipating long lines hours before for those wishing to get a hampster.

You're going to get in line for TRU at 3pm on thanksgiving??!

Just found this thread and dont know if its been posted but I found the hamsters at Wal Mart for $8 I had been looking forever and decided to call them instead of making the trip down again. They have them locked up in sporting goods. They still go pretty fast but not as many people know there there. Good luck!

We don't celebrate Thanksgiving on Thanksgiving day, or I wouldn't even consider it. I don't know what time right now, but I'm thinking it's going to have to be early because of the demand for the lil *insert bad word here*..lol. I'm thinking the latest I would show up would be 6pm, but worried that may be too late? I figure I can always take a book and maybe a deck of cards.

And you're going to do this for ONLY ONE HAMSTER??? No offense intended, but have you considered auditioning for one of those Target BF commercials?

After accounting for the difference between retail and resale prices on one hammie, divided by the nine hours of your time - at what for those working inside is likely holiday pay - I'm thinking even the crazy ebay guy sounds like a better deal than that...:rolleyes1

Maybe I'm wrong though - it wouldn't be first time. I could pop down to walmart and wait inside for 5 am right after TRU's midnight opening, so it might be a possibility but not THAT early. What time is everyone else thinking they'll get in line??:confused3

I was thinking the same thing. I have gotten lucky on ebay getting a few items, when I can land a reasonable price. It's my back up plan to the playset that TRU has yet to ship. I hope TRU comes thru, but I worked in retail for 10+ years when I was in HS and college. I do not shop Black Friday. It's the one day of the year I boycott shopping, and I do love to shop! I will however drive 30 minutes to TRU and see how many people are actually waiting in line. I'm so curious! I also read somewhere that some Wal-Mart stores will be open on Thansgiving and will be letting you camp out near the items you planning to buy. Personally I'd love to be a fly on the wall....

I'm sorry, but that is so sad that people are willing to spend Thanksgiving on line at Toys R Us for a possibility of getting one hamster?? Wow. I will be with my family.:thumbsup2

I think the poster stated that she and her family don't celebrate Thanksgiving on Thanksgiving Day.

I'm not going to line up at TRU, but I think I will show up right at midnight and take my chances on snagging a hamster. If i get one, great, if not, no biggie!

BTW, I called my TRU and they don't know if they are getting Zhu Zhu's and they also didn't know if the BF SALE would start at midnight or not. (the ad says 5 am online). How dumb is that?

When I was in TRU the other night the guy there told me everything would be available at nightnight when they open...I hope he is right!

I normally do not even do Black Friday, but my daughter will be spending Thanksgiving with her Dad (ex hub) and his family in Ohio. Because she isn't going to be here, and for once the hot toy is something I can afford, yes, I am willing to go stand in line for one. I can afford the $10, I cannot afford the 30-40 they're going for on Ebay, that would be almost half of my total budget for Christmas shopping..believe me when I say I wish I could! Otherwise I would not be planning on going to TRU, lol.

As I've stated more than once, and again above, my daughter will not be here for Thanksgiving, therefore my extended family has elected to wait and celebrate it when the entire family can be there, which in my eyes, is what the holiday is about :)

I think the poster stated that she and her family don't celebrate Thanksgiving on Thanksgiving Day.

Thank you, cinmell :flower3:
