When I was in TRU the other night the guy there told me everything would be available at nightnight when they open...I hope he is right!

BTW, I called my TRU and they don't know if they are getting Zhu Zhu's and they also didn't know if the BF SALE would start at midnight or not. (the ad says 5 am online). How dumb is that?

Sounds like typical TRU to me! They never know what is going on and lie to their customers about everything!

As I've stated more than once, and again above, my daughter will not be here for Thanksgiving, therefore my extended family has elected to wait and celebrate it when the entire family can be there, which in my eyes, is what the holiday is about

That is what it is about. My kids will be with their dad until Saturday so Saturday night is when we will have Thanksgiving at my house. My current DH and I are considering doing a midnight TRU run, but haven't decided yet. So far, I do have one hamster.

Thank you! I lucked out in getting a funhouse at Wal-Mart a while back, so the hamster is all I need, hopefully Thurs night will do the trick!

NOW I officially have the holiday spirit! I felt a touch of it while watching my daughter's precious Thanksgiving play today, but now with this goodwill gesture I am there! Hey guys, I am new and I was trying to slog my way through this thread but it's pretty overwhelming. So, is there some advice about where I can go to get these things?

My nephews are going crazy over them so I doing what I can to find some. I heard they are supposed to be in stock by Friday. Just a heads up on the direction of the thread would be great.

I saw on another board that CVS is going to have zhu zhu pets, it is suppose to be a one time thing so once they are gone from the store that's it.

Some people have found them in the store already mixed in with the Christmas toy section, others asked about it and they had them behind the counter. They aren't suppose to be displayed until Dec 6th but some have put them out already. I live in MA and have went to and called 4 stores around me and they either don't have them or know nothing about it.

I won 1 on ebay a month ago for $19.50... but now you can't touch them for less than $35.... my DD's best friend has also been asking and asking for one for Christmas. I live about an hour away from our Toysrus, and I was thinking of leaving at 9:00. That will put us down there at about 10:00. I don't really know what to expect from the crowds. I am afraid that with Toysrus opening before everyone else that everyone will show up there and then go everywhere else. I do know that here it's going to be pretty cold. I am not waiting anymore than 2hrs. To me that's enough.

Yeah, the had a similar story on the news last night. The stores are claiming that they are going to have enough so I guess we will have to wait and see. What's the truth to the rumor that they are going be placing limits on how many you can buy?

Honestly, I think 10pm is too late. I hate to say that, but when it is broadcasted like this that they will have them, usually people go overboard. I guess it also depends on your area. remember though, you don't need to be first in line, just one of the first 100. Good luck to all those going out, I'll be in my bed.

Last week I went to a Learning Experience in NJ as they emailed customers the night before telling us they will have the hamsters and there will be a limit of 2 per customer. My gf is looking for a tan one so I said I would check it out. I got to the store 15m prior to it opening thinking it was in the middle of nowhere it wouldn't be crowded. People were there at 8am, 2 hours prior to opening. I was too late even though I was there before opening.

So the point of this story is that on BF, 2 hours prior to opening is not early enough...IMO.

Was just in my DS room and the commerical was on and he said oh I really want that.
I wanted to say yeah you and every other child your age.

I thought they also claimed they would have enough to last throughout the day? I don't know, I may just bite the bullet and try to get as good of a deal as I can on ebay. I am tired of of running around looking for these darn things! I have actually been getting a sitter while I go to Wal-Mart around 9-10. I stalk out the toy dept when they are delivering new merchandise flats to the depts. They think I am a freak! Anyone know if TRU is going to send the presales? That would make my day!

I went to my TRU today and while they had no hamsters - I was able to get all of the pieces of the other "stuff" - like the wheel, the car, and the slide... they had plenty of them. I don't know if that will change on Friday - but I won't be there to find out.

Well wouldn't you know I woke up with a horrible cough and ear ache...so there goes our thanksgiving (my sister won't come over since she is PG and doesn't want to get sick)...and there goes my BF shopping. I loaded up on my vitamins and still got sick, grrrr!!!

A kind, wonderful person helped me get mine too and I not only felt about her, but it made my whole Christmas, really. I was in a kind of 'blah' place this year - between the economy and just life....but her kindness and seeing it with these other examples has lifted my spirits and I am READY to enjoy.
