***OLD***DisDivas and Family October Mini Meet

Well, since there are at least 3 of us interested in doing the Fantasmic! dessert seating (maybe!), I'll start a list up front so that we can see if anyone else might be interested. This of course is in case they actually show Fantasmic! that night. I bet they will though on a busy Sat night in Oct. The price is not as bad as I thought...especially if I can talk an AP friend into purchasing my ticket for me. I was thinking it was $79.


Oh, and Theresa, since it was you that mentioned the Happiest haunts tour, what day were you thinking of doing it. I have it on Sat now, but just realized that you didn't really say when you wanted to do it.

I'm also wondering when those doing WCT are thinking that they want to do that. I'm just curious, because I'd love to try it, but need to know what day it's on in order to know if I can do it.

The Happiest Haunts Tour usually starts around 6:00-6:30 p.m. in DCA, because it ends in the dark, so I don't think Saturday would work out if we're having dinner at 5:00 p.m (or maybe the 6:20 one would be okay??). The only other time would be Sunday evening.

Well, it looks like I might be able to attend after all. From what it looks like the airshow is the week before this mini meet. I need to crunch the numbers and see if I can afford this trip. I'd like to bring my girls - Selena (8) and Raine (5). I'd come down Friday afternoon and head back on Sunday. Josh isn't too big of a DL person and he thought the girls and I would have more fun if he stayed with Rhys. I'll keep you all posted. This would be my excuse to get an AP.

Hmmm...I didn't realize that. I guess I thought it was during the day because the other tours usually are. It makes since that it would be at night. You might be able to do the tour Sat at 6:20, but you might feel rushed.

I am really working on DH to let me do this trip and the Feb trip. I would love to see you all in October...I am just having issues with time off. I only get 3 personal days a year since I work in a school and get so much time off as it is. I wanted to use those 3 days for the Feb. trip.

So...if I get to go it will be Fri-Sun. We shall see. I hope you all don't mind me posting on the thread even though I am not 'official'.​

Yes, I'm looking forward to trying it. I haven't even tried Rosa yet, but it sure sounds yummy! At WDW, they have their special sparkling wine-Fairy Tale by Iron Horse. We had several bottles given to us on our honeymoon. I have a bottle set back for our 10th anniversary.

Oooh, that is a good idea! I know it's expensive though. I'm not sure it's in my budget, but is something to think about. I know Beth had a Fantasmic! 'sit in' in March. She said that she actually liked to sit and people watch while waiting for it to start. If she does that, we could always be the waitress, and make sure her Fantasmic! birthday snack wishes are fulfilled. That little snack box they give you is really cool though!

I don't think I'll do the Minnie's breakfast. I'm the only one in the family with an AP which is why I'm going to the park solo on Saturday while Ruben and the kids hang out with my in-laws at the pool, and take in a movie at DTD.

We'll probably end up doing Goofy's Kitchen for breakfast since we've never done that and we don't need park tickets for that one.
But I'll be there for the Friday Halloween party and the BBQ for sure.

Well...I would only be taking off Friday or Monday...so, it may work out. If we end up driving, I would have to take more time off. So, we shall see.

If we do any character meals, it will be Goofy's. We had a horrible experience at Minnie's. We have not done Goofy's before. Is the BBQ a character meal? I am so behind. I need to read back.

Heather---there is a good chance I will be able to do both...just depends on transportation. AND, if I was not able to take any days off in Feb, I will take 1 sick day and then the weekend. So, that is at least something.

My DD has been begging to go back to DL for awhile. Her bday is Nov 10 and I would love to do this for her. KWIM?

No, it's fine. I mean, everyone should do what they want. We only picked Goofy's because it's outside of the parks, we've never been there, and it seems fun. And yes, since we'll be out at the party the night before, we weren't going to make a real early reservation.

I thought those who wanted to do Goofy's in Feb, wanted to do it for dinner? Or am I just imagining things now? (That's entirely possible you know.... )

The BBQ meal is sort of a character meal. It sounds like Woody, and Jessie are there and they do some sort of show. I dunno. I've seen pics but haven't had time to read the reviews yet.

So, to me Goofy's or Minnie's doesn't matter. I just chose Minnie's because I thought we were doing Goofy's in Feb, but now that you mention it...I think they were talking about dinner there towards the end. Anyway, I'm up for either one. I don't know if the others signed up for Minnie's would care or not. It really doesn't matter to me, and I'd like to do it with a group. I don't want to intrude though....

I feel the same---I don't want to intrude. It does sound yummy! If anything I can book my own meal with Maddie (and Brent if he comes along)....that is if there is no interest in a group meal at Goofy's.
