It will be fun to compare them.

Hey! We can smuggle some Rosa into the parks! I can bring back the skills I perfected in college for getting 'drinks' into football games. :lmao:

on 2nd thought...

Somehow Rosa from a ziplock baggie under by shirt doesn't sound very appealing now that I'm more mature!

Sure. I usually get there early and I can save some room. No one has to wait with me the whole time. When I camp out, I really camp out. Last time the show started at 9:30 and I got there a little before 5. LOL But anyone is welcome to join me later on in the evening.

Hmmmm, although come to think of it, I'm not sure how good of spots we'll get because the BBQ is around 5, and will probably take an hour or more. So if I'm not getting to the seating area until around 6 or 6:30, all the front and center seats will be gone.

Oh well, I'll just see what's left by then I guess. No biggie.

Me too!!! :yay:

I just hope that Saturday isn't as packed as it was last year when we went. It was a zoo on the weekends last October. :scared:

I posted the pic I took of the crowds on our trip thread awhile back and scared poor Heather. :rolleyes1 :rotfl:

I read your TR from last year, it did look scary! But I am preparing for the worse in crowds.

Deb, I believe that.

Beth, that is usually high. Because it is exclusive to them, and because it's a sparkling wine - so more like a champagne - DL can get away with it. If you found Rosa (made from the same grape from the same area) in a restaurant, it would probably be $9-10 a glass.

It will be fun to compare them.

I wish I could find Rosa Regale here. But I can't.

The weird thing is there is a wine shop in Hawaii that gets this and sells it for about $20 a bottle, but you have to live in Hawaii.............. :sad2:

I guess I need to move to Hawaii.....

Sorry I posted this on the wrong thread. I'm double posting so I apologize if that annoys anybody. I'm putting it in quotes. It's entertaining!

So what are you ladies up to today? Me? Do I have a story for YOU!

I just had a toilet water blow up extravaganza in my parent's back bathroom. That potty has issues I swear there is a ghost trapped inside of it. I go to get my wallet to get my CC# to book HoJo's for October and I hear this trickle. I get a vibe and go back there and the bowl is full and over flowing!!!! We're talking a steady GUSH! I launched myself to the water shut off knob on the back wall and the entire toilet wobbles! Need I remind you that I am house sitting for my parents. This is exactly why I rent instead of own!

Thank goodness for the Divas, DL and HoJo, otherwise I'd have a major problem on my hands! We better get an awesome room! :rotfl:

ps. My parent's don't own a mop so I have every towel in the house mopping the mess up. BUT I just remembered my dad has a shop vac. Oh well too late :confused3

It was scary busy last October, but that was the CHOC Walk weekend too..... so hopefully that's the reason :confused3

:sad2: Let's splurge and get the bottle of Magicale (it is soooo yummy!)

I guess I need to move to Hawaii.....

Aloha!

Don't forget me you guys!
I want in on a bottle, too.:)
I think the Magicale is a tad better than the Rosa, but they are both very good. DD & I shared a bottle at the jacuzzi at Hojo's and five of us girls finished up three bottles at the slumber party Friday night. And I purchased 3 bottles at BevMo on my way home since they don't have it by my house:rolleyes1

When are we going to WCT? It's not on the schedule yet, is it? It was actually nice on a Sunday afternoon, maybe we should do that again?

It must be that DL figured Hawaii was so far away that they allowed the winery to sell it there.

Even if it's not in the stores there, you can probably order it to be sent there. I had some small bottles sent until I found it was at my local stores.

When they serve it by the glass, are they pouring it in flutes? How many flutes can you get out of a bottle? Whatever, I'm in.:cutie:

That sounds good to me also! Do you want to plan it for lunch?

Was that on CHOC walk weekend? We will be arriving that Sunday and staying until the next Sunday. (We're very excited about being there for the meet up!) I was hoping it cleared out somewhat after the CHOC walk. We won't be arriving until that afternoon. Do you think a lot of the craziness will be over? :)

I'm not really an expert, but I think it won't effect our weekend too much. If the walk is on one weekend, I doubt most would stay for two. This could be my wishful thinking, but I'm hoping to have a nice day on Wed and Thurs. :wizard:

We will be arriving on the day of the CHOC walk and staying through the week, so I was wondering how bad that Sunday of the CHOC walk will be as far as crowds, later in the afternoon (I believe CHOC walk is in the AM). Beth and someone else had mentioned that it was crazy during CHOC walk weekend last year, so I am just trying to prepare for what we might find when we arrive there that day (the 18th) :) We are very excited that we happened to already have made our vacation plans to stay a whole week so that now we'll be there for the meet-up. I can't wait to meet all of you! :)

Yes, they serve it in flutes and we got I think 5 or so glasses (and we actually wasted some of it:sad1:). Little did I know it would be so darn hard to get outside of the parks. I would have finished it off!!!

Yes :thumbsup2

Would work for me, too. Zoe and I could head home after lunch, so it wouldn't get too late.

Yay, sounds like a plan :thumbsup2

Just a Quick Note.. My Mother's Birthday is Oct. 23rd.. and So we will be going on this trip to celebrate her birthday!
I'd like to do a meet for drinks at the Napa Rose, later on the evening of the 23rd to celebrate my mom's birthday, I hope some of you can stop by!

I'm checking flights tonight to see when we can come. Right now it's Oct. 22nd through the 25th.

Where is everyone staying?

Thanks Heather for organizing this thread!

Hi Dawn! I'm gald you can come. What time were you thinking of doing Napa Rose? I know a lot of us are paying extra for the Halloween party that night. I don't know if everyone is planning on going or not though. I'd love to go to Napa Rose, but have a feeling the boys wouldn't like it too much! They will have their eye on getting candy at DCA. :thumbsup2

It will be nice to see you again. princess:

Heather

Yep, that's the night most of us are doing the Halloween Trick or Treat at DCA. I'd like to try to figure something out, though, Dawn, as we want to have Miss Sally feelin' the love!!!

Good morning chicas!

I am with Dawn----THANKS Heather for organizing the thread! You rock, girl!:wizard:

Sooo, I have been talking to DH and we are 90% coming on the trip in October!:banana:The only thing stopping us is his time off. His boss can be weird about time off..but October is a relatively slow month for HR in the school district, so we should be good to go. The earliest he can request it is in July. So we will know then for sure.

We are going to definitely do Goofy's, WCT, and the Halloween Party.:thumbsup2
This trip is going to be Maddie's birthday gift. So, we are going to try and make it really special for her. Do you ladies have any ideas for me to make it extra great? There are going to be quite a few bdays going on while we are all there!

Dawn - is there any way we can meet earlier for drinks? Friday is the TOT Party, but I would really love to do something with your mom! What about brunch with mimosas or something on Friday?

Your mom is so much fun - I still cannot believe she got her bra undone at the end of the day and I never saw a thing!! That is some talent :thumbsup2

Heather, I would love to spend some time with you and your family at the parks! Ty :lovestrucLOVES:lovestruc the Playhouse Disney Live show and he really enjoyed his first viewing of Aladdin as well. I wasn't sure if it would hold his attention for the full 45 minutes, but he was transfixed, so that is another possible things for us to do beyond the kiddie rides.

Anyhow, it's a busy day here at work, although I'm wishing for a bottle of Magicale right now. According to the sommelier that I was talking to this past weekend, DCA is the only place that it is served in the entire Western Hemisphere  Oh, and how sad is this--there is no Rosa Regale to be had in Las Vegas  And thus, I will continue to daydream about it :cloud9:
