I’m starting to feel like it’s getting too late for today, but I still think there’s a chance for tomorrow or Thursday, but if that’s the case, I don’t think round 2 will open until next Friday. That seems to consistently be a theme of opening on a Friday.

Yeah last year it was right around 2pm central so I still had hope but I'm starting to think you're right... I think they could still send results tomorrow and open the window friday

I hope so! It seems like the last couple years it’s definitely taken them longer than historically it has. I wonder if the increased social media presence means more applications or if they just purposely give themselves more time to review

My pet theory last year was the team reviewing applications got smaller.

Maybe! That’s possible too. I feel like they have at least 4 members of that admin team from what I can tell from current panelist’s social media. Who knows how they divide it up?! I’m sure they look at all these posts and think we’re all crazy

From what I understand and can tell, in general. Which is fair. Brand protection and preservation

I'd imagine they keep up to date on the basic mood of the Internet about Disney and maybe occasionally do deeper dives on topics they're interested in or if something's going viral. I think a thread like this is probably under their radar

I was really hoping it was going to be today but now I’m not sure. They posed on social media about Halloween snacks and I feel like in the past they usually don’t post content the same day emails go out.

Part of me logically knows that it takes time to go through all the applications and they're doing their best and being thoughtful about the process... Another part of me is sure they're making us wait on purpose and is getting salty about it.

I don’t think they’re making us wait on purpose or doing it to torture us. I’ve heard the admin are really nice and genuinely care about the panelists and the program. I think they just have a huge volume to get through and maybe they’re either reading more applications as a whole or they give themselves more time to do it because they’re still producing content during the search process.

I do really agree that's true... I'm just antsy and on edge and hate the daily anxiety cycle.

Agreed. I feel like I start the day out okay, get antsy mid day and constantly check email and the Facebook group, and then by 3 eastern time I’m like welp it ain’t happening today.
I keep telling myself that at this point they’ve reviewed my application and whatever happens happens.

Found this thread after I did a search a few days ago to try to get some Intel if emails went out. I was really hoping today was the day!
