OK, I'm calling in the morning, any tips to getting though?

We are going 12/28 to 1/2 BWV. Well I could not get my 2 bed Boardwalk view today at 9 17am!! So instead of waitlisting for 12/31 for the BW view, I switched to Peferred View and now am waitlisted for 2 bed Pef. View for 12/30. I figure my chances are better to get a Perf. view on 12/30, rather then a Boardwalk view on 12/31. We just DO NOT want to move! So if anyone is already waitlisted for a 2 bed Boardwalk view, mine was let go today for 12/28 and 12/29! Crazy just to get all the same view!

We book (and go!) every NYE, so I know it is crazy, but it is just crazier this year it seems. MS said she believes it is commerical renters and they are trying to fix that. Hey we used to do the crazy Jimmy Buffett ticket thing too trying to get tickets. My first concert was 23 yrs ago! We have long given up trying for tickets. Paid the scalper man the last tijme we went! But yes I agree with ya danjulia.....it's about like that!

This will be the first NYE for us...it's going to be a surprise for my 10 y/o and 14 y/o! I fully expect packed parks but think it will be lots of fun (we're used to the crowds as we ususally go to First Night Boston).

I am waitlisted for the BW view for the night of the 30th, so now I have 3 ressie #'s and have to wait it out because, same here...I don't want to move mid stay (TWICE!!).

No Buffett for 2008...we're spending too much on vacations and I'm still getting over the bite of those super expensive Gillette Stadium tix in '07!!

Call exactly at 8:59am. If you get their office hours, hang up and immediately call back. You should get in even though it's not quite 9. Good luck!

I did the very same thing, calling at 8:59AM, or 8:58AM. I was able to book my Christmas 2008 reservation without any problems. The longest I waited was 2-3 minutes. If you get their office hours, it means that the office is not open yet. Hang up immediately and push the redial button. When you get connected, push "1" at all the menu options, (don't wait for the message to finish) until you hear the ringing tone. Just let it ring if even it seems like a lifetime. If you are impatient, use another phone (perhaps your cell phone) to make another connection. Don't hang up if you get to the ringing tone, you will just get off the cue by doing that.

It took me about 10 minutes to get through then i was on hold for another 10 minutes. I should have made my first reservation yesterday, but totally forgot about it so i was in a bit of a panic that i wouldn't get what i wanted, but it wasn't a problem.
I've got another 5 days to book, but we leave for SSR on Monday so i'll have to do the rest while i'm there. I'm really worried i'll get caught up in the excitement and forget all about it!

MS is now open on Saturday and Sunday, so if you have time, book those 2 nights before you go.

My husband called the 800 number and just spent 98 minutes on hold. I picked up the cell phone and called the 407 number and got our reservation in 16 minutes. Boy, is my husband mad! What we do for Disney!

He must have been in the same endless phone pit I was in.

Did he get an estimated wait time? I did NOT on the first call. That my be a tip if you don't get that message, hang up and call again.

This is my first time having to call day-by-day....I keep thinking there has to be a better way but if there were, I'm sure they'd institute changes.

I got in around 7:04 after a few busy signals and was only on a five minute hold. After you press 1 the first time, Do NOT hang up when the phone rings and rings. You will get transferred! Sometimes there is interminable silence after the second transfer, too. Also, if you are sure it's 7 am, don't hang up when you hear the message, just hit 1. Has worked for me every time. I think too many people panic when they hear the office hrs message and hang up...just hit 1. (Always good to have backup phone handy for another call, too!!!)
