Official September 2012 planning thread! List on page 30!

We have changed our dates again. We booked our flights yesterday. We are still leaving on Aug 25th, but had to change our departure from Sept 19th to the 24th. Yeah, I know how hard is that to accept.

So, for the next 160 days I'll be working and saving money. And on the computer with the DIS.:surfweb:

Who are you flying with DonnaBoo? We are flying Airtran out of Buffalo, but I was kind of nervous after the DirectAir thing. I am hoping since Airtran is part of Southwest that would not happen to them. So you will be there for almost 1 month??? nice!:thumbsup2

Wed 9/26: Disney Studios. Hopefully will do the Fantasmic Dinner Package. Any suggestions on what restaraunt and what time I should schedule the ADR?

Any suggestion and constructive critism are welcomed.:goodvibes

We always do the Mama Melrose Fantasmic pkg. The food is spectacular there! We have a 5pm ADR for our Sept trip. Fantasmic is at 8pm. That gives us 2 hours to eat (you usually have to wait a bit before getting in, I have never gotten in at Mama Melrose at my ADR time) and start to head over to Fantasmic at 7pm, since it is clear across the park from the restaurant. Getting there around 7:15. That gives us time to find a seat and get some popcorn and cotton candy for the show. HAVE FUN!

Others may have different opinions, but we haven't done TSM in ages because it's not worth the hassle. The wait time is always long without a fastpass, and in our case, it was completely inaccurrate. We waited for way longer than the stated time, and I think it ended up being almost 2 hours during a December low-crowd trip (sorry if my bad experience has exaggerated the wait time in my head!). TSM also has an extremely deceptive wait line, in that just when you think you are getting close, there is another staircase or bend. Generally speaking, if you don't get a fastpass at rope drop, not only will your fastpass time be much later in the day, but chances are the fastpasses will actually sell out.

So I would think about how crucial TSM is to your overall plans. If it's crucial, then plan to get there at rope drop and go back to your hotel for a mid-day nap or break. If it's not crucial, then sleep in and know that either you'll see the ride or move on to another attraction!

We have never had a problem getting on TSM in September. I usually head there first at rope drop. DH gets in line with a wait time of about 30 mins. Then I head with all of our KTTW and get fast passes later in the day. Then go join him in line. That way we get to do it twice. And the wait time is sometime low at night, so I have actually done it 3 times in one day on my last Sept trip.

I would not dream of missing TSM it is one of our faves. We even had the Wii game of it. Lots of practicing.

I hope you get to do it on your Sept trip this year. Hopefully the line is less than in December.

Oh that is so good to hear! We are booked there for the first time on this trip to see Fantasmic too and I am glad to here you have had good experiences there! So if Fantasmic is starting at 8, 7:15 is a good time to get there? Thanks for the info! :goodvibes

Just made all of our ADR's. We got everything that we wanted including California Grill. Now we just have to wait for the time to go by. :)

We are flying with Air Canada, and have a stop in Toronto each way. We are using our points or this trip would not be possible. Free Dining is another great reasoning for going.;)
I hope everything works out well for you with Airtran.
Yes, or trip is almost month!!!:woohoo: We only get to go once a year to Disney and it's a long trip. So, we try to make the most of it. :goodvibes

Booked our trip yesterday. Staying at the CBR from 09/01/12 - 09/06/12. Was lucky enough to get our ADRs, too.
Welcome to the group! I have you added!!! :thumbsup2

Thanks for adding me to the list. I have one change. We will be staying until 9/29. I think I looked at the calendar wrong when I made that post. Our total stay is 9/22 - 9/29/12. Thanks.

Got it! :thumbsup2

I booked Mama Melrose too @ 5:30 Fantasmic is at 8:30 that day
With that package you still have to get in line an hour before???

My DD15 & I will be staying at the CBR from Sept 1-6, 2012. CBR is the only resort we've ever stayed in. This will be our 4th visit. We love it. I do recommend the preferred rooms because the resort is so big. After walking around the parks all day, if you are not close to the food court and main pool its annoying to have to walk over there when all you want to do is relax after a long day! Have Fun!!!

Yes I did pay for preferred and I did request a village with a building number.
I just hope I get it

My ADRs

Mama Melrose with Fantasmic
1900 Breakfast one day and 1900 dinner another day
CRT
Crystal Palace
Mickey BYBBQ
La Hasienda (I am spelling that wrong)
Ohana dinner
Pirates and Pals Cruise, I am so looking forward to this, I have read good things about it

I will be leaving Ohana when you get there, we are at 6:30

I am working on making my girls autograph books.
I am using scrapbook paper and stickers.

For the record, buying the disney book would have been way cheaper.

I just hope they turn out, when I am done I will take them to the office supply store to have them bound. I hope that does not cost a ton.

We love Justice, We have one suit from there and 2 pairs of flip flopps.

I have been searching for a deal all day!! It is expensive for just one darn day!! Cheapest I could find was something for $138.45 per person including round trip transportation. I'm still debating... I am not a Harry Potter fan so it wouldn't hurt me if we didn't go, but my daughter really wants to go.

DS8 and I are going to Universal for one day during our September trip as well, while DH and DD3 go to Akershus for breakfast and have a daddy/daughter day! DS really wants to see the Wizarding World and we just couldn't justify spending that much money for our daughter, who on our last trip literally rode only the carousel....in a week!! Anyway, we plan to book the 2 park ticket and transport through Dreams Unlimited. When DH and I did this in January during our Marathon trip, we were allowed into the Wizarding World an hour early with the resort guests...had something to do with how the tickets were booked because they said Universal travel company! It was definitely worth it!

Ha!!! I totally understand!! I have $100 to use! Too funny!
