Official September 2012 planning thread! List on page 30!

Today was my day for ADRs, i got up at 6:10 to book them and of course it wouldn't reconize my reservation so i had to wait until 7 to call. thank goodness for caffene or i'd be dead right now :lmao: anyways here is what we have

11th whispering cannon 5:25 dinner
12th tusker house 9:30am
13th mama melrose F! 5:00&5:15
14th askershus 1:20
15th hoop dee do review 5:00
16th shutters 5:55&6:00
18th Ohana 7:00
19th 1900 park fare 4:30

i'm already starting to question the later time of the askershus. that is going to be our lunch but i figured if we push it back a little bit we would have more time to see the characters around the world and do sourin

We'll be at POFQ from Sept 18-25th!!! I can't wait to make my ADR's next Thursday!!! One less thing to think about!

A friend of mine posted about the new Photopass princing on Facebook. I will definately be purchasing mine this week. We always buy the photo cd. We typically have about 200 photos taken in a week and once I'm done editing them, we have almost 500-600!!! (I can't resist the borders and all the little extras) We stop at every single photographer that we see...drives my family nuts...but I love having everyone together in the pictures. It shows that I actually exist and I'm not just the trip photographer.

im the same way with the photopass people, my family is fine with it but it drives my mom batty!

i pre-ordered the CD today too for the photopass share im running on facebook :thumbsup2 disney isnt getting any more of my money than possible!

1900 Park Fare is SO fun! Your girls will love it! :thumbsup2

Was on the computer by 6 AM today to make my ressies and of course it would not recognize my reservation as well. That's probably because I changed it about 6 times before free dining came out! Anyway made the following for our group of 4 adults and one 3 q/2 year old:
Wed 9/12 arrival day T-Rex 6:30 pm (had to call restaurant directly)
Fri 9/14 Akershus 8:05 am
Fri 9/14 Garden Grill 6:30 pm
Sat 9/15 Tusker House 8:00 am
Sat 9/15 Mickey's BBQ 6:30
Mon 9/17 50's Prime Time 5:15
I know we have a lot of character meals but it's DGD's 1st trip, so we think she'll love it, and we are hopeing to leave the park each day for some rest--not sure how that will work. Do you see any real flaws? TIA

Can I join? We just cancelled our Sept DCL cruise :sad1: but booked 8 nights at CSR with free dining instead. We will be there the 22nd-30th and are very excited to do MNSSHP for the first time. We are also finally going to do a water park and Mickey's Backyard BBQ. We sat down the other night and planned out our ADRs so now just have to wait for the 22nd! :cool1:

Just booked our trip for 9/22 - 9/28/12! We are staying at Pop Century. I am so excited! This is a trip of a lifetime for my 25yo daughter and myself. We have both worked very hard and have lost 90 pounds each. I promised her if we lose weight that I would reward us with a trip to Disney. Also I will be turning 50 on 9/7 and have never been to Disney. I can't wait!

I didn't see the option to purchase the photopass. Where do I do that?

Bummer about the cruise, but CSR and free dining sound like a great vacation to me!

Congrats on the weight loss, your upcoming birthday, and first trip milestones! Here's the link for photopass:

Congrats on the weight loss. I am 35 pounds down and have completed 2 half marthons I still about about 23 pounds to go.

May I join? I am going to WDW 9/12-9/18 just made my ADR's today
staying CBR.

Were are doing MBYBBQ also, has anyone done that? and I booked the pirates and pals firework curise

We are staying at POFQ from 9/7-9/12 for our first family trip to WDW. I have been a couple of times as a child but DH and DDs 10 and 7 have never been. We have these ADRs:
9/7 T-Rex at 7:00
9/8 Chef Mickey's at 6:30
9/9 Crystal Palace at 8:05
9/10 Akerhaus at 7:00
9/11 FDP - Mama Melrose at 5:10

A question for anyone who has been in September before. We will have a long day at Epcot on 9/10 and would like to sleep in a little before going to DHS on 9/11. If we don't arrive until 10:00-10:30 what will the wait for TSM be like? For what I have read about getting fastpasses at that time I am afraid that the return time may already be late enough to interfere with our ADR. I don't want to spend forever waiting for one ride but I also don't want to drag grumpy children around all day long and ruin our last day in the parks by getting up too early.

Others may have different opinions, but we haven't done TSM in ages because it's not worth the hassle. The wait time is always long without a fastpass, and in our case, it was completely inaccurrate. We waited for way longer than the stated time, and I think it ended up being almost 2 hours during a December low-crowd trip (sorry if my bad experience has exaggerated the wait time in my head!). TSM also has an extremely deceptive wait line, in that just when you think you are getting close, there is another staircase or bend. Generally speaking, if you don't get a fastpass at rope drop, not only will your fastpass time be much later in the day, but chances are the fastpasses will actually sell out.

So I would think about how crucial TSM is to your overall plans. If it's crucial, then plan to get there at rope drop and go back to your hotel for a mid-day nap or break. If it's not crucial, then sleep in and know that either you'll see the ride or move on to another attraction!

I have been there for rope drop at HS for TSM in Sept and it's crazy!!:scared1: But yes, If you want to get FP for TSM then go at rope drop. Send one person, with all KTTW cards and wait in another area for them. Hopefully that way you can get a decent return time.

Look we left the same cruise to a be at Disney the same week. We couldn't not go to Disney all together, so after cancelling a few weeks later this came out, so it saved tons and we moved our cruise till Dec 2013...so excited!!

It looks like there are 5 families in our group staying at CBR. I think a lot of people have families of 5 which pushes them to POR if they're a family of 5, so that probably has a lot to do with it. I know a lot of people who have stayed at CBR! :thumbsup2 And the pool does look SO fun!!!

Boo to having to call in to get your ADRs, but that's awesome you got everything you wanted! :thumbsup2
