Official September 2012 planning thread! List on page 30!

Not true. I always book my clients ADR's online at their 180 day mark. My ADR is Thursday, and I plan on using the online system.

It is true it hasn't been working properly lately. Which don't surprise me. It seems to work off and on but more off.

I think what she's saying is that the online system is not functioning properly and won't recognize your info past 180, so you will be able to reserve your first day online but anything after that you'll have to call. That was the way with me and a lot of others.

For all of you that recently booked your ADRS, you had to use the phone system, right?
From what I understand, the online dining reservation system does not recognize any resort reservation #s, so you cannot book ADRs for180+10. SO ANNOYING!

My ADR date is Monday - and I would so much rather book them online.:sad2:

My ADR date was yesterday. I went online at 6 a.m. and made the first one. I tried to make the next one and said I was more than 180 days in the future. I signed out and back in, as I've seen suggested, still didn't work. I ended up calling at 7 a.m. and getting the rest of them with no problem.

I also had problems this AM with my ADRs I assumed it was just because our vacation is DVC and did not recognize the number since I have had this problem in past trips as well. I called and got all I wanted, had a super nice CM. I would have liked to do it myself but since I got what I wanted I can't complain lol

same here my ADR was last friday, I would not let me book past 180, I had to wait the hour and call, my CM was awesome and I got everythign I wanted.

Why are getting ADR's so stressfull! :rotfl2:

Sept. 12-16...got everything I wanted!! Ohana, Chef Mickey's , Garden Grill and Tony's (the kids picked this one, but I am a little worried!). Can't wait!

I booked a trip fpr Sept 6th-12th staying at POR. I am so excited to celebrate my birthday and to share my Disney addiction with a friend who has only been to the Mk for 1 day and that was so long ago that this trip will be considered her 1st trip. I've book a few ADRs but not all of them. I still have lots of planning to do!

Let us know how it goes!

From NUMEROUS reports here on the DIS, people have not been able to book ADRs past 180 days online - they have had to call. Since about December, the Dining System is not recognizing Resort Reservation #s. Even though you can retreive your Resort Reservation online and see all the details of your vacation itinerary, the online Dining System does not recognize it.:confused3

I have been searching the boards for over a week now for any positive confirmations of people who were able to successfully book ADRs online for 180+10 - I have not seen a single, credible report.:sad2:

As a travel agent, are you able to book ADRs in another system (i.e. not Disney.com)?

Yes - that's just what I've been hearing.....you can enter one day at a time online, or just call and a CM can book them for 180+10. (See below)

I am in chicago also, we fly in Wedneday the 12th also!!

What is Tony's????
I can't wait
We will be Ohana on Saturday

3 questions please

Saturday morning is when I can start doing my ADR. What time can I try and do them online (though I know people are saying there are issues) and what time can I do them by phone?

We want to book a reservation at Chef Mickey on our first night there, and hopefully we can get it late enough that we can then watch fireworks from the Contemporary. What time would be a good time to request our reservation???

And we are going to have a rental car with us, if we drive from our resort to another resort, is it a PITA, and do you have to pay for parking or anything?

Online dining reservations for your 180th day will be available at 6am EST.
The phone center opens at 7am EST.

Chef Mickeys is our first night tradition too! It really gets us in the Disney mood!:yay:

If Wishes is at 9pm, I would suggest trying for a reservation around 6:30pm. That should give you plenty of time to wait for your table, eat, and enjoy the characters. If you have extra time before the fireworks, the shops and arcade are right there.

We never have a car - but if you are staying at a Disney resort you will receive a parking pass that should allow you to park at another resort for dinner, free of charge.

Enjoy Chef Mickeys!:woohoo:

I log into the Disney TA site and then go to the dining system from there. A lot of the time it's actually better to go through the regular site. I've booked plenty of dining reservations for my clients since December and I've never had a problem with the online system. Glitches do happen, but I've never had an issue with it. I'll let everyone know how it goes Thursday morning!

Awesome thanks.

We have been to Chef Mickey before, though it wasn't my fave. We are doing it as DH's parents are coming and they have never been. We figure the firework show is a great start for them for their first trip :D

We will have a car as we are starting out trip in Clearwater this year. I tried to tell DH we can drive from resort to resort, but he said no, and it would be quicker to take a bus back from MK after the fireworks then if we drove from the Contemporary. I tried to tell him otherwise, but I dont know anything :lmao: I'm hoping I'm right on that as well?

Hi all - been away from the boards for a few days. Had a few minutes to spare so thought I'd check in.

Everybody got their ADRs done? Did ours on Sunday - I did not sleep worth a darn Saturday night because I was so worried about getting up the next morning. Lo and behold, the online res system wouldn't confirm my resort res, so I had to wait until 7:00 and call instead. Luckily, I got everything we wanted!

Saturday 9/15 - Mickey's Backyard BBQ
Sunday 9/16 - Via Napoli
Monday 9/17 - Late breakfast @ CRT
Tuesday 9/18 -
Wednesday 9/19 - 50's Prime Time
Thursday 9/20 - O'hana (date night for me & DH)
Friday 9/21 - Crystal Palace

I guess we will just do CS for dinner on Monday. Not sure what to do about Tuesday, it's our rest day and I have a dear friend traveling from St Pete to hang out with us for the day. Thinking about WPE @ DTD to keep it on the inexpensive side. If anybody has any suggestions, I'm open. We were talking about OOP breakfast @ Kona Cafe on that day - it looks so yummy!

I JUST saw that I could have made my ADRs 180+10! This is new since 2009, so I didn't know! I have been waiting til saturday. I am going to call first thing in the AM and hope I can still get a few things I want. We really want Le Cellier this time, and DS5 mentioned tonight that he wanted to eat in the castle!
