Official September 2012 planning thread! List on page 30!

jUST BOOKED OUR ROOM AT FQ FOR 8/30-9/5. THIS TRIP CAN'T GET HERE SOON ENOUGH:woohoo:
ADR: Lecellier Lunch on 31st, Tusker House breakfast on 1st, Crystal Palace on 2nd, Fantasmic Hollywood & Vine on 3rd, Aloha on 4th.

Has anyone dined at Hollywood & Vine? Would love a review or some input. I had originally chose to eat at 50's prime time cafe however I promised myself to try new foods during each trip. :confused3

I am working on making my girls autograph books.
I am using scrapbook paper and stickers.

For the record, buying the disney book would have been way cheaper.

I just hope they turn out, when I am done I will take them to the office supply store to have them bound. I hope that does not cost a ton.

We love Justice, We have one suit from there and 2 pairs of flip flopps.

I always make my girls' autograph books as well. The CM's LOVE homemade stuff!!! They always comment, and it makes it even more special! Be sure to post a picture when you are all done! :surfweb:

We had lunch at Hollywood & Vine last year and it was ok. The food is about what you would expect from a Disney buffet...nothing spectacular but nothing terrible either. They did have a couple desserts that I remember being very good. The character interaction was good and our DD loves Oso, so we are going back for early breakfast this time, hoping to beat the mad rush to TSM :lmao:

I will post a pic, but I have to say I am NOT a craft kid a girl. I suck to be honest. The only thing I do well is photo books on Shutterfly.
So keep that in mind when I show my pic. ha ha :rotfl2: :lmao:

Question,
I booked Pirates and Pals Cruise, we were told to be there at 7:20
That night is MNSSHP, so I don't know when wishes is going to start.
But I read that you are to be there an hour and a half before. So that would make the fireworks at 9, Is that the time they do them for MNSSHP?

I am doing journals for their first trip. I think it would be fun to save them and pull them out every trip, and see how things change when they get older.

Grandma just got them autograph books since she was there with her other granddaughters last month.

I have been searching for a deal all day!! It is expensive for just one darn day!! Cheapest I could find was something for $138.45 per person including round trip transportation. I'm still debating... I am not a Harry Potter fan so it wouldn't hurt me if we didn't go, but my daughter really wants to go.

I know, it's insane. I couldn't justify the cost with 4 of us. If the kids were free then I would consider it, but I could just do the Wizarding World on it's own. I will tell you if your DD is a HP fan, it is super cool. Even the bathrooms and ATM are cool. I had so much fun there, and I didn't even do a single ride.

I bet they are great! :thumbsup2

The MNSSHP fireworks are at 9:30...at least that is when they've been in the past.

Oh that is a great idea! My daughter's teacher had her write a journal this past September to count as her makeup work while she was out of school. I totally saved it! :thumbsup2

I was able to get on the phone 1st thing this morning and made all of our ADR's! I was able to get pretty much the times we had planned on. The woman I spoke to said they've been busy lately because of the free dinning.

I did the character breakfast there in 2009, the boys were 3 and 5, so I thought they would like seeing the Little Einstein characters. I didn't like the food, and I thought the service was terrible. There just wasn't anything special about it to make me go back.
I always make my girls' autograph books as well. The CM's LOVE homemade stuff!!! They always comment, and it makes it even more special! Be sure to post a picture when you are all done! :surfweb:
Very cool. I made Character cards last time. Each character had their own card, with their cartoon image on it. I found them on here, and was able to save them on my photobucket account. My plan was to bring them and get the character to sign their card and arrange them in scrapbooks, with pictures and other mementos when I got home...lol.:lmao: Needless to say that when I got home I put everything in a box and said I'll get around to it!

Now that we are planning this trip, one of the things to occupy me is going to be making these books!:cool1:

I love this idea, and I am going to try to implement it for my 7y/o. He will be missing 6 days of the 3rd grade, so maybe this will soften the teacher.

We are going to have a US/IOA day. I figure between HP, Suess, Jurassic Park(my boys love that movie!) and Shrek in US, I can justify the cost. The only thing that worries me is the no fast pass system. DS5 has Autism so I am going to see if they have GAC equivalent.

Friday 9-21 1900 Park Fare @ Grand Floridian @ 10 AM

Only 180 days to go!!!!!!!!:cool1:
I really want to try 1900 Park Fare. I have boys so I don't know if my kids would enjoy the characters. I always like to try at least 2-3 different places each trip though. Is it easy to get to, once at the Grand Floridian?

Sunday 9-16 Tusker House @ AK @ 9 AM

I will be leaving as you're coming in! :)

I've gotten a lot of fill in the blank journal pages off the Creative DISigns board. They have some pretty cool things to fill in. I'm sure you could print off some pages and talk about the educational aspects of Disney. I'm sure the teacher would love that. The Creative board has now become my daily addiction. I've downloaded way too many disigns.

I will be leaving as you're coming in! :)

That's too funny!!! We'll have to wave at each other!:wave2:
I'm sure I'll have a homemade Disney shirt on since I've been all over the Disigns board. Lot's of talented people over there. I already told DH that I am making a bunch of shirts for us and the kids. Although I'm sure DD will be dressed like a princess EVERY day!!!!princess:

This year is the 1st time we're doing the breakfast at 1900 Park Fare. We did the dinner with Cinderella and the gang last year and loved it. The Prince was there and so was the Stepmother and the Stepsisters. They were a riot! One of the sisters kept telling my DD to be at their house first thing in the morning because they needed a new maid! My DD was loving it! We saw quite a few boys there and they seemed to enjoy it.
It was very easy to get to once we were there. The Floridian is so pretty! Make sure if you do go you make extra time to just walk around the resort.
We are trying a few new places this trip. In addition to the Breakfast @ 1900 Park Fare we are doing CRT and Cape May Cafe @ Beach Club. It was hard to make up our minds as to which one's to book because we had to leave a few favorites off the list to try the new one's :headache:. But maybe we'll come back from this trip with a few new favorites!

I looked at getting that time too but decided I would try be there for the
"wishes" fireworks. If you can get a window seat on the MK side they "pipe-in"
the show sound track so you watch it from your table provided you can get one (there are first come/ first served). I've seen it from there a couple times and its nice

sorry forgot to "quote" it!

I will be leaving Ohana when you get there, we are at 6:30

We will have already done Pirates and Pal fireworks cruise so not seeing wishes is good with me, but I though I read that you can see them from the grass or pool or something?

For all of you that recently booked your ADRS, you had to use the phone system, right?
From what I understand, the online dining reservation system does not recognize any resort reservation #s, so you cannot book ADRs for180+10. SO ANNOYING!

My ADR date is Monday - and I would so much rather book them online.:sad2:

Not true. I always book my clients ADR's online at their 180 day mark. My ADR is Thursday, and I plan on using the online system.
