Ok, since I know you all follow everything I say word for word :lmao: and remember way back early summer when I mentioned I saw a neurologist for my migraines and they found a lesion on my brain, I thought I'd post that I got the results of my follow up MRI today and the lesion is GONE!!!!!!!! That's just something you have to tell as many people about as possible!! Back when it was first discovered I was being told it could be Lyme disease (negative) and it could be MS and it could be Lupus (still hasn't been ruled out), but more and more it looks like it is neurological side effects from Celiac disease, which I was just diagnosed with a little more than a month ago. I've been gluten free ever since. My neuro agrees the lesion was so small that the gluten free diet could absolutely have caused the reversal in the lesion. So hey, guess what?? Tonight I will :dance3: :rockband:party: ! I'm meeting up with some friends conveniently anyway. :)

Ok, I had to scream it out to the world, but I'm done now. Thanks!

66 days!!!

Woohoo! That is awesome news!!! :cheer2:

Okay - here's something to worry about....at least for those of us that will be there on the 28th.......

From TouringPlans.com:
"Vice President Joe Biden will be attending the Florida Democratic Convention being held at Disney’s Contemporary Resort October 28-31, 2011.

Biden will be giving a speech as part of the convention on October 28, 2011. Expect delays in transportation to and from the Magic Kingdom and in particular to and from the Contemporary Resort due to increased security measures. It’s likely they will limit access to the Contemporary Resort entirely during his visit as they have done in the past with such visits. Do not expect to visit the Contemporary “just because” or for shopping that day.

Delays with the Magic Kingdom’s transportation system will be due to the proximity of the Contemporary Resort to the bus drop-off and the requisite motorcade when the VP travels. In the past these events have caused significant backups with the buses attempting to pick-up/drop-off at the Magic Kingdom."

:scared1: Well, that makes me feel better about the huge convention during my week. I'm sure it won't compare at all to the security surrounding Contemporary.

Yesterday I made my costume for MNSSHP. When the ones I bought came in, they didn't fit. DH's Mario was too small, DS's Luigi was too small, and my Princess Peach made me look like Miss Piggy! So, I've changed gears again. We are going to do homemade costumes. DH and DS2 will still be Mario and Luigi, we will just be buying overalls/shirts/hats. And I decided to be a Wii remote. I didn't have a pattern, only an idea in my head and the actual Wii remote to use as a guide. I must say I am very proud of the result!

This picture is just the front panel and it is now complete. I goes to my knees and has plenty of room for shorts/shirt underneath. This is only my 3rd time ever sewing anything in my life. The other 2 times were aprons, which were much easier. (Please ignore the mess!)

You SHOULD be proud of yourself. I've never sewn anything worth while except a pillow that looked like a phone in home economics class in the 7th grade. I struggle to get DD's girl scout patches sewn on her brownie vest and don't even want to try and pick up a needle for other things because of it. I know you can buy glue stuff for the patches but that basically ruins the back and I want her to be able to take them off and put them somewhere else in the future since a lot of those patches can't be replaced.

Thanks :) It's a few things from work and then some stuff has broken that has been killing my Disney fund. It'll be all right. The saying "when it rains it pours" is just fitting right now and I could use a break!

I hear that. The strange thing is we had a bunch of stuff go wrong before planning our first trip too. I won our second trip so I didn't have to pay anything up front and I guess that exempted it from the curse.

Fantasmic! every night in October!!! Here's the link...

http://www.disneytravelagents.com/S.../pdf/ParkHours/WDW_Operating_Calendar_Oct.pdf

Now I need to see if I should switch some days around. Some people may have thier plans in place and not change because of not rechecking the calendar.

Does this new info make anyone else want to switch things up? What to do, what to do...

(FYI, if you feel like you've read this post before, I also posted it in the other Oct. thread.:thumbsup2)

Ugh, that actually disappoints me mostly because I would have planned on going if I had known it at the time. As it stands now we have our Illuminations Cruise planned the night of our DHS day.

I tend to babble when that happens. Can you tell my my thread count lately?? :lmao: Hang in there. We're on Disney credit at this point because of our crappy year, but I need this trip more than ever and it sounds like you do to!! :grouphug: We are here to listen to you vent if you need to!!!

Disney credit, making even more money through interest. Yet I complain about not getting a pin. :rotfl:

I was wondering about this too because we are also doing the cruise on Oct. 8th. It does say Illuminations is at 9pm on the DIS. However the Unofficial Guide Touring Plans and (official) Disney websites both say it is at 10pm. They probably extended the hours because it is a Sat. night + F&W festival = big crowds. :)

Actually I went back to check and it looks like Epcot hours are 10pm on most Saturday's during F&W and the other days (except EMH) are the regular 9pm.

Ahh, that explains it. I didn't realize you were speaking of a Saturday and ours is on a Wednesday.

Oh no, credit with 6 months no interest! :thumbsup2 You have to know how to make the system work for you!! :rotfl:

I don't know why I can't reply to a post and then post my stuff at the same time. I always forget and then I don't want to edit the previous post because it seems cheesy to do that all the time, though I do it sometimes.

Anyway, yesterday I realized that with MNSSHP on 10/23, which is the day we are getting to WDW, and our flight being bumped back an hour, our day in MK has been reduced to about 2-3 hours, much of that time being spent in CP for dinner. I don't want to do that. This will be DD3's first trip that she will be aware of (her first was at 10 months) and I don't want to take her to the place I know she'll love the most (MK) for dinner and 30 minutes of rides and then tell her we have leave at 7PM. It makes me sad that we can't do MK our first day there, but we can't swing another party on this trip, so the one on 10/25 will have to do. So my question is, what are your suggestions for our first day? Should I get rid of the park hopper passes and just do the resort or DTD that day? Or maybe try and get into Chef Mickey's? Everything is pretty booked up right now, so it would be lucky for me to get in anywhere to eat. I was really hoping for 1900 PF so I could cancel our Wednesday night ressie for there and have that evening open for MK since we'll be missing Sunday night now. Or should we go to Epcot and try and do another park instead? I don't want to do DHS or AK since it'll be a longer ride and she'll be wiped from the day as it is.

We should be getting to the Poly around 3:30 or 4 if our flight times stand as is. I'm hoping to get our bags into the room and then go to dinner somewhere close, then do what we want to do for the rest of the night until 8 or so until DD collapses from exhaustion. I'm not sure that's worth park hopper passes, but I also know removing one day from the 7 day package deal doesn't really take that much off of the price, so I'm not sure it's worth it.

Thoughts?

And btw, 60 days!!! And my ticker should show a 1 in the front now!!! :cheer2::cheer2:

The list is updated as of now. Sorry it took me so long to get it updated, been busy this summer.

Update: The Wishes Dessert Party has had a name change to The Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party. If you have ADRs for this let me know so I can add it next to your MNSSHP.

Ok, since we did a resort change, I had to change around a few things. First off, I canceled my WCC dinner and LTT dinner ADRs. I think I am going to keep the rest of my ADRs sine they are lunch and breakfast ADRs and those are cheaper than dinner.

I have added The Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party for October 17 @ 8:20 pm and the Haunted Horseman Carriage ride (I hope that is the name of it) for October 20 @ 10:30 pm.

Other things to do?
Golf Cart rental from Kenny - check
order annual passes - still need to do (come on Disney with the refund from my WL package so I can purchase the tickets)
order MNSSHP tickets - still need to do
Order specialty shirts for me and the kids and maybe the parents- still need to do
Written the letter for the kids to get out of school - check.

What else is there besides packing?

We have ADRs for the Dessert Party on Oct 26th. :lovestruc

Just read about Joe Biden being at the CR. We're showing up on the 29th, the day after his speech. I'm wondering if he's going to be there the whole weekend or just that day?? I really had plans to go over to the CR "just because" and to do a little shopping. Hope this also won't make the resort monorails slower...

I think he's only going to be there on the 28th, so you should be ok as far as security goes. The convention goes until the 30th, I think though.

Biden is scheduled to deliver his keynote speech at dinner on Friday, 10/28.
The Convention is from Friday 10/28 - Sunday 10/30.
Accomodations for Convention attendees are at the Contemporary and a limited number at Coronado Springs.

Not sure if you know, but they are showing F! every night all summer through Sept. and there was speculation that it would be extended. 99.9% sure it's happening, but, there is still that .1% that I'll hold on to for a bit.:rotfl:

It's been every night for a good chunk of the summer and will continue to be every night at least through September. The site that is showing the change is the travel agents site. This is one of the few sites that is generally correct. They are also the ones who have the original park hours up before anyone else, even Disney. So, I would more likely believe them then any other calender out there (even WDWinfo and the official site).

Touring Plans has it posted for Oct. too. They are saying that they will have the crowd calendars updated soon.

HOLY BEANS!!!! Seriously??? Wow. Considering this is usually a 'slower' time, why would they show it every night? I did not like Fantasmic and don't like going there on a Fantasmic night BUT if it is EVERY night of our vacation, it shouldn't impact the park like they usually do. Thanks for correcting me!

Hey, can you send me a copy of the letter you're giving to the school? I don't know how to say it and get their homework since technically it would be un-excused. :rotfl:

Sure, it is on my desktop. I am on my laptop now, when I get back to my room I will send you the link.

Love the Wii remote idea! It should be comfty enough wearing on the rides too!

I LOVE your costume!!! What a great idea!

Love it! Great idea and great costume!

Thanks for the compliments! I always know I can find people to share in my excitement here! I get weird looks from people when I tell them I have completed my Halloween costume! If I hang around here long enough, I'll think I can make anything! When I was trying to find the Mario/Luigi hats for DH and DS2, I came across some super easy instructions. So, I bought the material and tried my hand at it. Here is how they turned out! (I had to put them on my pottery since neither guy would cooperate with me wanting a picture.)

Now I'm on the hunt for some cheap overalls for DH and DS2. If anybody has any suggestions, please post them!

We are down to 52 days until we leave! I am sooooooo ready to get away from reality and live in a fantasy world for a week!

I'm not sure where you are, but do you have a Tractor Supply Company? I don't know how cheap they would be, but you could probably find something. I just searched on Amazon and they have tons! Good luck and pixie dust! pixiedust:

Looks like we'll be there at the same time! :cool1:

I'm outside Memphis, so close to you! We do have a TSC. I found a pair at Target tonight for DS. Thanks!
