Take this for what it's worth: there are no official dates yet, but my disney authorized TA did get a fax from disney with the MNSSHP dates and I specifically asked about the Oct1 party(because I too had originally planned for this date) and she said what they have so far is that there will NOT be a party on Oct 1, did say Sept 14, 21, 28, and OCt4,and Oct5...and other dates. The September/October calendar hours on WDW website seem to confirm these dates also(even though calendar is subject to change also). If I were you I would not put all my eggs in one basket, so to speak. Can you make alternate plans in case that date falls through? I feel your frustration...I was in the same boat and will now be attending the party on Sept 28. Good luck and here's wishing some pixie dust and hoping for the OCT 1 party for you! :tink:

Did your friend get a fax for any other dates ummm maybe MGM party???:goodvibes

Thanks so much, you are very sweet! You are right, and I guess I should be grateful that I got this info when I did. I did kind of think a Monday night party (especially so early in the month and far away from Halloween) was odd...but that's what excited me, I figured locals would not be going as there is school the next day.

You know, we are planning on the October 4 party because it's the best day for us. I was assuming it would be a little less busy than the weekend parties, but it just occured to me that weekend is Columbus Day weekend. Does anyone know yet whether their schools will be off Friday or Monday? Ours was Friday last year, and we don't have next year's schedule yet. Not going to change our days or anything--just curious.

You know, I'm wondering something now....... I'm wondering if the author of the UG heard something about a nightime party at MGM in October and assumed it was the halloween party they had been talking about previously. However, I wonder if this after-hours party at MGm is really just the after-party for the TOT 13K (which I will be attending). I hope not, but that thought just occured to me. Any opinions?

We are also hoping for a Sept 14 Halloween party! :thumbsup2

I have a few questions...we plan on being at the MK that day and the park closes at 7pm. We won't have to leave the park, will we? :confused3 How do they distinguish the MNSSHP guests from other MK guests? If it's a wristband, is there a way to get a wristband inside the park, so you don't have to leave and enter back in through the gates?

Thanks! :wizard:

If you enter the park after 4:00p you'll get your wristband at the gate. If you are already in the park, no worries. You can exchange your tickets for wristbands starting at around 6:00p. There will be CMs around the park who can exchange them for you. I've seen them in front of the Castle and near City Hall. They also used to do it in the restaurants as well but I'm not sure they do any longer.

Sorry...don't know anything about that one. But... I didn't ask since I have two little ones and wouldn't be doing the more adult party anyway. Though, if they had it, sounds like it would be fun!

I think I will go ahead and make some dinner ADRs for CP on the 28th also, just to cover my bases. That would be the party we will attend if Oct 1 party does not exist.

Thanks again and have a magical day!

No Problem! Hope everything works out for you!:goodvibes

DH and I are *hoping* to go to MNSSHP Sept. 21st...does disney "do it up" as much in september as the month of october? are the September dates as crowded?

Yikes sorry wrong thread,

Have done the MNSSHP have a great time...you will all love it.

Kim

If the dates going around are correct, it looks like we'll be going to the first party, Sept 14th!! :goodvibes

I'm pulling for a September 14 MNSSHP - I'm taking my DD18 to WDW for a final mom/daughter trip before she heads off to college, and we have a 4pm CRT dinner planned, then off to have a fabulous time at the party!

Did I mention how much I love free dining  ?

Now, what to wear, what to wear . .

KC :)

Me too!

I'd recommend elastic waistband pants. Oh wait--you mean to the party. If we go on the 13th day of 14 days of free dining, I may have to consider going as Spaceship Earth!:lmao:

14th for me too! What do you all think the crowds will be like? I posted a separate question about Friday nights at the parties, but I haven't had any responses there. Will it be crazy since it is the first night AND a Friday AND during Free Dining?

I read a post from last year where someone was disappointed with the 1st party. Said it was so much more crowded than the parks had been all week. This will be our only time at MK so I really want to get on the rides! I'm not really going for the party per say- just for the extra park time.

Went for the first time last year with DD and 2 grandchildren we all had such a wonderful time. Going on the 21st this year with our other 2 grandchildren their first time. I still have that song running in my head from time to time:goodvibes

We will have length-of-stay tickets and a 5:15 ADR at Tony's for our date (16th). We will head on over to the MK after finishing up at BBB/DTD around 2:00. Is it too early to be in our costumes if we get there by 3:00? I hope so - I'd hate to lug them around only to change a couple of hours later.

When we have gotten to the parks around 4:30 dressed, we notice that people are looking at us like we are crazy but what do I care I will not see those people again, plus maybe we are a little crazy ;) .

Hey - crazy is my middle name, so I should fit right in. That's good to hear. I didn't know if Disney had a policy on that or not.
