I’m not really sure where the weekend went. I didn’t get as much done as I had hoped.

I went with tortellini baked in a cream sauce with salad and garlic knots.

We're home with lots of pictures to share, but we're back to traveling for DH's job tomorrow. Tonight, I have to unpack & repack. I'll try to post a couple days at a time, while we're traveling.

Dinner this evening is going to be Skinnytaste Potsticker Soup.

This is in fact my last weekend in Deauville, so decided to make it worth my while. The scallop festival season is in full swing now so glad I was able to catch one of the better known ones as well as a smaller one held in a local village that’s still trying to make its deserved reputation (Villers-sur-Mer ).

For two days, I overindulged on pristine scallops, herrings and les bulots (sort of like mini conch shells) cooked in sooo many different styles: smoked over grape vines or applewood (the grape vine version was better IMHO), simmered in cream sauce, sautéed in brown butter w/ a Calvados finish…..just ahmazing!

Today, I’ll just eat green salad as reparations.
