We plan on going on Oct 16! Seem like the only ones though. Now I just have to try and convince DBF to dress halloween-y.

us too! We're going Oct 13 - 20 but still don't have airfare -- come on SW -- I'm checking everyday too!!! :surfweb:
Psst...The rumor (according to past data) is that they won't be released until mid May. I'm waiting for them too, but I wouldn't make yourself crazy just yet.

Last year, I bought my tickets on April 28 last year although Disney said the official day for their going on sale would be May 1.

We are planning on going to the October 8th party. It will be DS's birthday.

We will eat dinner at Chef Mickey's at 5pm and then head over to MK.

We are aiming for Oct. 12. From reading this board it sounds like the party goes from 7:00 to 12:00. Do they have trick or treating all night or just at the beginning? Do they run out of candy if you go later? I know my DS would be disappointed if they did (and perhaps my DH as well). I see that someone said there were two parades and a fireworks show. Does anyone know when those fell last year? We are trying to get ADR for LTT once they release the later times. Since we are eating lunch at 2:30 we wanted to wait until later to eat at LTT but I don't want to miss anything. If they continue to do trick-or-treating and you can see everything later is it okay to do a later ADR like 8:00? We are from Denver so 12:00 midnight is only 10:00 in our books. Thanks for your help.

I've been the past 4 years and I've never seen them run out of candy. My waistline wishes they did! We actually bring a huge bag to dump our little bags Disney gives us, because they always get too full (especially after the line behind ToonTown.) I wouldn't waste my time on LTT during the event. You'll miss out on all the short ride lines, the parade, and all that trick or treating.

Sorry if this has been asked before but has anything come of the suggestion of an additional party at MGM for Halloween?

Well, I wrote Disney about the party at MGM and here is their response. I bolded the news. :confused3

Dear Christine,

Thank you for contacting the Walt Disney World Resort.

At this time I have not heard of any plans for a Halloween party at
Disney's MGM Studios.

check back for ticket information.

Oh, I was talking about Southwest releasing October flights. Sorry for the confusion. I'm trying to keep all these dates straight in my head and sometimes things get mixed up.

I talked to a lady from Disney today and she said that any day now our MNSSHP dates will be out. I am guessing we may see them this Thursday or Friday. I really hope I am right!

I wouldn't get my hopes up too high though, it seems the end of this month/early May for the dates are the norm.

I really hope you are right too :thumbsup2 -- I have to call Monday for our Oct ADR and I'd like to know for sure which nights are for the party so we can plan around it!

You never know! Last year they released the dates (and info) on April 17 (which is only a week away from now) and also announced they'd start selling them on May 1.

Looking for feedback...Thinking of having dinner at Ohana's at 5p then heading to MK. For our friends that do not have AP's will they be able to get in prior to 7p if we finish dinner early??
The food at LTT on party nights...is it the normal menu?? By October I'll be craving Ohana's...and I prefer them to LTT. But I am sure it's all about the experience.

Thanks,
Bonnie:wizard:

We booked an ADR for 6:40 at the CP. Is this too late if we plan to do the MNSSHP ?

Well, you won't be done till at least 7:40p or later so IMHO yes, its kind of late. I would eat any later than 6:00p so I don't miss any of the party but that's just me.

Ah Boo!

Mind you we can always hope that it's all a BIG secret and that they'll announce it soon! :thumbsup2 :woohoo: We can but hope! ;)

Oh I hope they release the MNSSHP dates this week. :woohoo: That would be great!

I think I have decided not to try and eat at LTT the night of the party, just grab something and go enjoy the fun! So there will be one less ressie to worry about ... it's almost time I can make my ADR's and I don't know even know where I want to eat yet!:upsidedow

Good for you! I am still checking everyday~several times a day for airfare. I am getting impatient waiting for Southwest to release their next set of dates.

Us too...wish Southwest would release their dates already! We plan on attending the party on Sept 28. Can't wait!

Love this thread! We're newbies to the MNSSHP and this info is invaluable.

Do I have this right: Nonrefundable hard tickets that are purchased ahead of time are either mailed to you or held at Will Call. Which do you prefer? I don't want to misplace the tickets, but I also don't want to wait in a long will call line.

How solid is that 4 pm admission time? I'd hate to be counting on it, only to find out it's really 5, or 6 this year, especially if we're hoping to eat once inside the park but before the party.

Looks like there's a split between CS and TS dinners, but most of you lean towards TS in the park between 4 and 6. We currently have CM's at 5:00 on our probable day, but I'm not sure I want to walk into the park right at the beginning of the party, so I'm thinking maybe just a CS after we get in (if we really can get in at 4!).

Thanks again!
