Official MNSSHP [Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party] 2007...

Love this thread! We're newbies to the MNSSHP and this info is invaluable.

Do I have this right: Nonrefundable hard tickets that are purchased ahead of time are either mailed to you or held at Will Call. Which do you prefer? I don't want to misplace the tickets, but I also don't want to wait in a long will call line.

How solid is that 4 pm admission time? I'd hate to be counting on it, only to find out it's really 5, or 6 this year, especially if we're hoping to eat once inside the park but before the party.

Looks like there's a split between CS and TS dinners, but most of you lean towards TS in the park between 4 and 6. We currently have CM's at 5:00 on our probable day, but I'm not sure I want to walk into the park right at the beginning of the party, so I'm thinking maybe just a CS after we get in (if we really can get in at 4!).

I like having my tickets in hand so I don't have to wait at will call just like you mentioned! When I get them, I just put them in in Passporter pocket where they sit until our trip!!!!

I have heard people getting admitted as early as 2 or 3, but 4 seems to be the norm. If you want to eat at 5, I would try to eat in the park at either a TS or CS

They start letting party goers in after 4:00p. They've been doing this unofficially since 2001. I've never heard of them letting party goers in with just their party ticket before 4:00p.

This will be my family's first MNSSHP. I am so excited as I love Halloween. I am sure my 2 year old and my 7 year old will have a blast!

I think DH and I will skip a TS meal before the event and just eat CS for dinner. Does anyone know if Columbia Harbour House will be open for dinner on the MNSSHP nights? What about if we get there before the closing time of 7?

In the past it was closed for the party. You could always go before the party starts though.

Cool! We're doing the party 2 nights, one at LTT and one at Cosmic Ray's. Anyone else love Cosmic Ray's? Lots of selection in food, lots of seating, A/C and entertainment!

Ok, I am sure someone answered this question before but after reading 25 pages I do not remember what the answer was. (I tried to search this thread but for some reason it didn't let me do that. It always seems to launch you to an advanced search and then you can't search the exact thread you want and searching for rides might bring up thousands.) Which rides are open? Are the lines short or long? We will be at LTT at 5:40 on October 12 and can't wait for the party.

Plus, the tickets they send by mail are pretty neat - decorated for the party. If you pick them up at Guest Services, they just print them on generic ticket forms. Boring!

I get to go 2x this year !!! unless the MGM is a reality then hmmm it will be tough.. do we have dates for the MGM Villains ???

Is there any word yet as to whether or not there WILL be a MNSSHP on Oct 1st? I sure hope so, I am planning my Sept/Oct trip around that date so I can attend that particular party! I have already made ADRs (like at CP for 4 pm on Oct 1.) I am trying to rent points for those dates, also. This is all so I can go to that particular MNSSHP! I saw it posted on this board that the dates would include Oct 1, but after reading the OP's post my heart just sank. I did not realize it was just tentative! YIKES! Please, I hope someone can give me some good news on that.....

The September/October calendar hours on WDW website seem to confirm these dates also(even though calendar is subject to change also). If I were you I would not put all my eggs in one basket, so to speak. Can you make alternate plans in case that date falls through? I feel your frustration...I was in the same boat and will now be attending the party on Sept 28. Good luck and here's wishing some pixie dust and hoping for the OCT 1 party for you!

Thanks so much, you are very sweet! You are right, and I guess I should be grateful that I got this info when I did. I did kind of think a Monday night party (especially so early in the month and far away from Halloween) was odd...but that's what excited me, I figured locals would not be going as there is school the next day.

I think I will go ahead and make some dinner ADRs for CP on the 28th also, just to cover my bases. That would be the party we will attend if Oct 1 party does not exist.
