I think someone already posted an answer to this question, but I can't find it :confused3 so here is it again :upsidedow

Is LTT the only place where characters are dressed up for Halloween the nights of MNSSHP? TIA

Yes, it is the only restaurant that the characters wear Halloween masks and aprons. Pluto wears a pumpkin on his head. :) Some of the waitresses wear make up to look like HM CMs as well.

Also, at Tony's some of the waitresses wore make up to look like HM CMs which was cool.

We are waiting to make our reservations on the MNSSHP dates being officailly released.

Oct. 1st would be our 1st full day there, and we think it would be too much to do the party that night. But right now, we are set to leave on the 4th!

So, we'll probably leave the 5th instead, if the dates we've been seeing are definite.

I'm getting so antsy waiting! :hourglass

I believe that you are talking about HHN at Universal. Check out the Universal boards for information on this. HHN is not anything like Mnsshp. HHN is an adult party with very scary scare zones, haunted houses, alcohol and lots of adult fun. Or were you thinking about talk last year of one at MGM?
No, I know about the Universal party. I stay far away from that one. Last year or the year before though, there was talk about Disney-MGM Studios hosting a Halloween party that was to be a scarier than MNSSHP. I was hoping it wouldn't be like HHN, but a little more thrilling than MNSSHP. The UG from this year says Jack Skellington is supposed to host, maybe Sally too, I'm not sure. But like I said, last year it was just a rumor, but the UG says it as though it is definitely going ot happen this year. This is my first time buying the UG so I was just wondering if they often say things as fact and they turn out not to be true or if they are usaully pretty accurate.

Where is this? I have the 2007 UG and didn't see it there.

There are a few references to it in the book. I was just looking through and found the one on pg 630. In the "A peek behind the scenes with Jim Hill" blue shaded section. Also on pg 633 in the "Jim Hill" section. check it out and let me know what you think. To me, it sounds like a definite, at least in their opinion.

Hmmm... you're right... it does sound that way, huh? That'll show me not to skip those little blue sections! :rotfl: I'm going to keep my ears peeled for more on that, too...

Those references sound pretty definate to me too. I haven't heard anything else about it yet though. I'll be looking forward to more news.

I'm trying to not get myself too excited about it just in case it dosen't happen, but it sure does sound like fun, dosen't it?????

For those of us without the book could you please tell us what it says?? I'm dying to hear more about this party at MGM - I checked the ***************** website and couldnt find anything! Thanks

Stacey

I've heard the same rumor about Disney MGM doing some sort of Villians type party. With their Hollywood theme it would only make sense to do something even if it wasn't as big as MNSSHP. And now you look at Oct. hours for MGM and they close at 730p instead of 8pm like they do in Sept. hmmmm

Sorry, guess I'm not supposed to post certain websites! Oops, anyways would still love to hear the info from the book!! Thanks

Stacey

October hours are out. If they are correct and if they do not change then some of you may have to rethink which MNSSHP you were planning on going to based on the 'tentative' dates on various Disney fan websites.

Below are the only days MK is closing at 7:00p:

Sept 14, 21, 28,
Oct 4, 5, 8, 11, 12, 14, 16, 18, 21, 23, 25, 26, 28, 30, 31

Here are the 'tentative' dates posted on the DIS (and other fan boards) for comparision:

Sept 14, 21, 28,
Oct 1, 4, 5, 9, 11, 12, 15, 16, 18, 22, 23, 25, 26, 29, 30, 31

The bolded dates are the ones that are not the same (based on Oct hours).

Maybe Disney isn't done with their tweeking of the October hours. We'll see.

I'm not sure is you mean word for word or not, but basically it says that starting in October 2007, Disney -MGM Studios will host another hard ticketed halloween event hosted by Jack Skellington. It also says you can expect the kind of adult thrills and chills that aren't found at Mickey's party.

ETA: I was just looking at the October hrs for Studios and it says the closing time during the first half of the month is 8pm, but for the second half it's 7:30pm. The book says the party would be held during select nights in the month. Maybe they are doing it during the second half of the month???/ I don't know, just speculating.

So, for planning purposes, do you plan based on the unofficial party dates or based on the Oct park hours that were just released? My 180 mark is Easter Sunday, so I'm a little nervous:headache: My delema is the 8th or 9th??

OK... too much time on my hands today... :lmao:

"...look for Tower of Terror to take on an even creepier look when Jack Skellington takes over Disney-MGM this October for the Studios' first-ever after-hours Halloween party."

and...

"Starting in 2007, Disney will present a second Halloween-themed hard-ticket event. This one will be after hours at the Disney-MGM Studios on selected nights in October. Jack Skellington, the mournful Pumpkin King from The Nightmare Before Christmas, will be serving as the host of what Disney hopes will be an annual event. Expect the sort of adult thrills and chills that you won't find at Mickey's Halkloween bash."

I was wondering the same thing. I had made my temporary plans based on the Oct. 9th MNSSHP. I knew the dates were by no means confirmed, but it these new hours do now throw a bit of a monkeywrench, with my 180 ADR window opening in a few days.

Stupid newbie question regarding MNSSHP - Do they have any reduced prices on a 1 day pass for the day itself at WDW? I mean for the days they close the park at 7 pm. We only have one day at the park before we leave for our Disney cruise the next morning, and it is a day MNSSHP is scheduled. I don't think our little one can take too much excitement that evening (bedtime is supposed to be 8:30 anyway). I hate to pay a full day's rate at the park for all of us when we have to leave the park early, especially as there are no discounts on one day passes in general. Hope this makes sense!

I hope the MGM Party happens!! Wish they would announce this soon!!

cxcelica, i'm with ya on the dates.... mine got messed up because i was planning on going on the 10/29 (monday) and on Halloween. I'm having to change up some things now. Rats!!!

No, there is no discounted/reduced price on a one-day pass on the days that MNSSHP is.

There are many days in the Fall/off season that parks close early for whatever reason.

I wouldnt think so, due to that is what the hours are for the park on that particular day. But i could be wrong??? Maybe others could help with this?
