"Official" Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2016 - Have Yourself a Very Mickey Christmas.

Arriving Dec 17, leaving the 23rd. Was looking forward to seeing Holiday Wishes and the parade- looks like I have to pay for it now!

We are going 12/6 too! :thumbsup2
Oh no! Lol. I didn't even realize this.. Our WDW portion is an early gift from Santa that will appear in our stateroom on last night of cruise. Planning on doing some kind of in room celebration or gift waiting for us when we arrive. I'll have to hide a stocking in my bag for St Nick as well.
Maybe I can go buy something if he is on the pirate cruise that I'm hoping will be offered from GF at that time.

We will be at the party 12/6 :) you can add us.

We are going on 12/6 as well. This will be the first time in over 10 yrs that we are going to the party and the first time there with our children. The last time we were there was on our honeymoon.

It makes it all the more special that it is on St Nicholas' Feast Day. I didn't even realize that as we were planning, I was just planning on going on the Tuesday that we will be there.

Looks like we have the option of 11/29, 12/1, 12/2, or 12/4. I'm leaning toward 11/29, in the hopes that it won't sell out since it will be the second party after Thanksgiving.

I feel it makes it more special as well! It's also our last night there. I'll have to incorporate something special and party related in my son's St Nick stocking.

I'm excited to go to my first MVMCP in November. I can either go the first night which is Nov 7th or the second night Nov 8th. For those of you that have gone, is one night better than the other?
I'm not an expert by any means, but we're planning on going the 8th. I feel like going the first night, you'll be competing with all the bloggers, etc to see all the rare characters, although it's probably a great night to just do rides :). The second night, you'll have the input of said bloggers to plan your party.

Will the characters be listed in MDE? Are there any character meals that include them (specifically Jack?) We will be doing Minnie's Holiday dine at HS, and I think our cruise will have most of the characters in Christmas gear.
Regarding the parade- I won't sit for 1-2 hours to get a good viewing spot! So hopefully we will still get a decent place to watch! We will definitely skip the 1st parade as well.

Characters will be listed in guide , they use to have a character meal at Liberty Tree with the characters dressed up festively but they took it away ! Was my daughters bday dinner choice every year! So now we just usually eat something light in the park , not sure what we will do this year but you hate a meal to encroach too much on the party time!

Yep! I was there on the 18th! And when we planned this year, we went closer to Christmas to avoid having to do a party. humph!

I guess last year they stopped on the 18th. Another money grab!!!

Not exactly sure what "Another money grab!!!" means, but Disney has gaged the popularity of the event and has determined that additional days will be profitable, especially with what we're all hoping is the ROL going on as well.

I believe this is self-explanatory. Another paid event (holiday wishes, Christmas parade) that was free at the same time last year.

Okay, but still not sure what you're saying. Are you saying that you think Disney should open the gates and let everyone in free of charge? ROL is costing the Company Millions, New Soarin is costing millions, new Frozen is costing millions, New Avatarland is costing Millions, New DHS lands are costing the company multi, multi millions, in total these plus other improvements to the parks and Disney Springs are costing Billions. So you think the company should just eat it, or they could just NOT charge additional for these "money grab items" and just charge $200 per day to enter the parks. Then no one would come and the locks would be on the gates within a year. Sorry some people can't afford the increases in prices, but that's business. We don't live in Greece, where everything is free, or at least not yet anyway.

I'm simply saying that this is another event that I will need to pay for, that was free last year. Do I need to be happy about it? I'm not making any judgements about capitalism. Lighten up.
