"Official" Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2016 - Have Yourself a Very Mickey Christmas.

I'd plan on getting your tickets early just because you're going in December on a Friday night. I will say that we went on our last night and it was a good send off to the trip. We were pretty exhausted the next morning, but we still made it to MK before we left town. The party wasn't too busy last year, but we also went in November.
Does anyone know exactly how many parties "SOLD OUT" in 2015. I would bet its only a handful prior to the party day. I would agree that Friday's are precarious.........and guess what we're planning Nov 11th............A FRIDAY!

Doug :goofy:

Oops, I see that the last party is Dec 22, not the 18th. So I guess Disney did add one addtl party! Now you have to wait until the 23rd to see the parade and fireworks without the party. Sorry.

Question about party fast passes. If we have normal tickets and do a different park the morning of the party (say Epcot) and have fast passes for that other park on my normal package tickets... Can I then make 3 additional fast passes at MK (starting at 4) for that evening since the party ticket is a completely separate ticket. Not sure if we would do a different park the morning of the party but I'm just trying to plan for this Frozen extravaganza that will be beginning at Epcot, assuming if we want to try and fast pass both the ride and M&G we'll need to do 2 different days at Epcot where we were originally only planning 1. Thanks!

I will make a suggestion:

If you are interested in making FP's for both Epcot and the party night, you can do this by setting up another MDE using a different e-mail, or setting up "phantoms".

For example, you have your regular park passes under your e-mail, and you purchase party passes under your boyfriend's e-mail. You make Epcot FP's on your MDE, and the party FP's on his.

Another way would be to create "phantoms" using you middle names and last name. Attach the party tickets to these phantoms to make party FP's, and use tickets under your real names to make Epcot FP's.

Voila! Two set of FP's!

Hi All!

I am thinking about doing the party on the 6th of December. That will be the last night of our trip and also our only day in MK. The way that things worked out with our schedule, we have to do MK on our last day, which isn't the worst thing. Initially I was OK with just going from 9am-7pm and leaving before the party, but I feel like I would have to rush things and now I'm thinking if I want to take it at a leisurely pace that day, maybe I should think about getting tickets for MVMCP, it'll be just myself and my BF.

Thoughts on how busy the park will be before the party that night? Also thoughts on how busy I should expect it to be at the party that night? My initial plans were to do LTT for dinner, close to park close, will I still be able to do that whether I do the party or not?

One more question.....should I expect that this party will sell out? I might make a decision on the day of, depending on what we get accomplished this day.
We will be there on December 6th :)
Will be our first MVMCP!!! Excited!!

I would have never thought of that! Thanks for the suggestion. I will keep that in mind if I decide that we will do a park one day and the party later... I may need to try and do this just to be able to squeeze another morning in at Epcot and another fast pass for one of the Frozen attractions.

Does Magic Kingdom close at 7:00pm on the days that the party is going on? I have never been during December so not sure how that works. Would you recommend this for two little boys (7 and 2)? Would I have to purchase a ticket for the 2 year old?

Yes, MK closes at 7 pm.
Your 7 y/o might love it, watch some youtube videos and read some of the Web blogs about it. Just Google MVMCP. You can then decide if it's something your family might lIke. We've done both (MNSSHP and MVMCP) with our grandchildren and they've really enjoyed the parties. If your 2 y/of will fall asleep in a stroller, all the better!
No, you do not need to purchase a ticket for the 2 y/o.

I wonder if the reason the tickets have not gone on sale yet is because they were waiting to see how well the after hours event does. If that is the case, then hopefully that not selling well will bode well for those of us going to the parties. I'm still concerned about what the price is going to be........

The parties are set up for a lot more guests than the "after parties". Disney has already announced party dates for 2016. I don't see a huge jump in price as it is a completely different event than the $149.00 after parties.
Personally I'm kind of hoping that they have one of those events while I'm there, but it seems doubtful as they have so many parties scheduled, there's not many more days each week to fit them in.
My personal opinion is that they will do these events when MNSSHP and MVMCP are NOT scheduled.
But, of course, one never knows with Disney!

I'd be happy with an Early Morning Magic party during my Nov/Dec trip! The reviews of that one sound fantastic, even though it's just three rides and breakfast. :)

I am wondering the same thing myself. That was quite a high price point for the after hours, and I wonder if that will have an effect on the parties since they do offer more... I also am anxiously waiting on Candlelight info... I need to know prices for meal packages so I can iron down my dinning credits vs. pay OOP. I'm not very good at waiting
