Christmaself,

Thanks so much for the recap!!! I really appreciate it :goodvibes I will also look for the show on Saturday.

Ya, Funny show tonight. I howled at Bree putting the tie on Rex!

THe new neighbor is very strange. The way she treats her son, and the whole flower thing, just creepy!

and a new member of the DisBoards. . .glad I found this thread. . .I also think there might be a relationship possibility with Bree's daughter(can't remember her name) and the new neighbor's son, Matthew... I could see how Bree wouldn't be too keen on the idea of inter-racial dating.

Okay, the hand in the basement looked black to me but dh said it was white. I guess they wanted to make that one difficult to figure out. I am sure we won't know what's going on there until the end of the season. I was thinking that was the dad but who knows?! :confused3

And yes, icebaby, I suspect that there will be a romance between Bree's daughter and the new neighbor. It looked like there was a possibility there. And maybe she will learn something she shouldn't...hmmm :scratchin

Am I the only one that STILL doesn't accept that Rex is really dead even after seeing him at the funeral? I suspect that maybe he is faking his death since he thinks Bree was trying to kill him. It's a stretch, I know, but hey, this is DH and they have had crazier storylines before!

I was taking care of dd during the part where Mike and Susan went to the morgue to identify the body. I know it wasn't Zach. Dh said he thought it was John's roommate- the gay guy. Can anyone confirm this? Or was it just some random kid?

I am hooked once again! I can't wait till next week's episode. I missed the previews for next week though! :guilty:

in my TV guide at all for a Saturday repeat. Instead it a 2 hour show called Invasion and a 1 hour show called Commander in Chief. . .

I was thinking the same thing. That's why I thought he got up and walked away, because he knew he didn't submit a sample, and he knew she was lying.

I believe you can get a DNA sample from a hair sample.

Yeah, I thought it looked like the roommate as well.

Watched the hand OVER AND OVER, the color is VERY hard to figure out. I think the lighting was made that way on purpose...duh...

There is NO WAY that Matthew is her son. They're a little too cuddly, it's a clue.

Maybe it's too close to home but I HATED that funeral scene. I remember my aunt asking if she could have my Dad's watch and how they disturbed his body to get it off. The way he didn't move just upset me so much... ugh.

The one thing I have to say is that scene should've guarenteed her the next Emmy. I personally feel she was robbed, anyway. Felicity Huffman is good but she's very much like her character in real life. Marcia Cross is NOTHING like her character, it's pure acting. JMHO.

Loved the tie.

I also think that Matthew is not Alfre Woodard's actual son. My take on the hand is since they bought the house sight unseen, they just needed someplace big and out of the way. Remember they moved in in the middle of the night!

I think the person is the basement has something to do with money/family. If it was just for money, they both would have killed that basement person or let them starve. Because they make up a tray of nutrtious food and actually present it with a flower (red rose), maybe it was someone they loved at one time and maybe went crazy. I saw Susan questioning the mother (what is her character name anyway?) about the noises coming from the house and that shackled person yanking on the chain. I wonder how they are explaining it away. I wonder if she plays the piano to cover up the noise.

I also agree that Marcia Cross just won the Emmy for next year. She did fantastic in that episode. The tie was fantastic.

I thought the hand looked white too. I was thinking it was Paul or someone we know since they didn't show his face.

Was I the only one that thought that Lynette was so botoxed up that her face looked unnatural. She could not make any expressions and could hardly open her mouth. I thought that it was bad.

I don't have time to read back on these posts, but I just have to say Bree was hilarious at Rex's funeral! :rotfl2:

Yes she was! :rotfl2:

I have to say that I kept expecting Rex to sit up and scream at Bree for "killing" him with the sugar pills.

I often wonder if the voters for all the awards shows take "real life" into consideration. I know they shouldn't, but Marcia Cross did get a lot of bad press from that Vanity Fair article.

You all have quoted some of my favorite lines last night, but you've forgotten this one:

"Did I ask for your help?!!" I have a feeling Andrew is going to be a major thorn in Bree's side this season...don't forget what he said to the pastor last year!

Amy :)

I thought it was a great show but there were a few inconsistencies that bothered me. The main one being the paternity test. Maybe I don't know enough about it but I though that they needed to take a blood sample, hair sample or cheek swab from the father in order to determine paternity and I don't remember seeing Carlos submit anything for a paternity test. I thought that Gabrielle's part in this first episode of the season was really weak as far as her scenes. The funeral episode was hilarious :rotfl: I definitely agree that Marcia Cross deserves an emmy for it, I hope this episode is remembered at the next Emmy awards. I had no clue that Zack could be Mike's son I could kick myself for not thinking about that.

The paternity test was implied that Gabby took the other lady's and fixed one of her own. She didn't really take a paternity test. She just wanted Carlos to think she did.

I was also thinking it could be Paul or Zach in the basement locked up.

Ya, I think Brees son is going to be a major pain this season.
