I am so glad this show is back on.....I don't see the connection between Zach and the new family, I think it is the father. Bree cracked me up in this episode....she was a real hoot! We didn't see hardly anything of Edie....??

I thought Mike was snakey to begin with although somewhat cute I didn't think I would be too trusting with all the stuff Susan found out as she explored his home.

The boy on the table looked like the one in the pool with Bree's son....I thought. Was that the same kid as John's roommate? And John - just letting himself in and making himself at home was so funny! I wonder if Gabrielle will really end up having the baby...she didn't have any morning sickness this episode and last season she seemed to have a ton.

Just watched the show last night for the first time and I think I'm hooked already. I couldn't stop laughing at the funeral scene.

in regards to the paternity test...correct me if i'm wrong, but doesn't the father (re: Carlos) need to submit a swab sample from his cheek?? um, hello?? did anyone realize that??

The other part I noticed--wouldn't you need to be far enough along for an amnio. It isn't like she can pee in a cup.

(I don't know when you can get an amnio...but that bugged me all night as that is the only way to get DNA from baby in utero).

I liked the part where Gabby threw John out of the house and he said "Don't you love me?" She replied "Up until the point where you told my husband we were having an affair I was quite fond of you. But now, NOT A FAN!" That was funny!

I have to say I missed bits and pieces of it last night because DS was still awake - between trying to get him into bed and finish up some laundry I kept walking away from the TV. I REEAALLY wish they would move it to 9 PM so DS would be in bed when it starts.

I am embarrassed to admit that I am kind of getting drawn in by Gray's Anatomy. I didn't think that would happen because it is kind of a fluffy trash show. Oh, well!

Because they make up a tray of nutrtious food and actually present it with a flower (red rose), maybe it was someone they loved at one time and maybe went crazy. I saw Susan questioning the mother (what is her character name anyway?) about the noises coming from the house and that shackled person yanking on the chain. I wonder how they are explaining it away. I wonder if she plays the piano to cover up the noise.

I also agree that Marcia Cross just won the Emmy for next year. She did fantastic in that episode. The tie was fantastic.

Other very interesting points--didn't they say she was a concert pianist.

And she happened to be playing hymns again and they were grandma's favorite ?

Are we sure it is a guy in the basement?

I don't think the person in the basement is an existing character. I think it is someone new.

I LOVED Bree. The funeral scene was great. As she was ripping off the tie, I told DH I'd do the same. I can see his mother doing the same thing.

The paternity test was implied that Gabby took the other lady's and fixed one of her own. She didn't really take a paternity test. She just wanted Carlos to think she did.

Right--I think we are curious about her hubby's reaction...and if they are playing that he bought it...then it is a plot hole that doesn't make sense since he didn't provide her anything for the test.

Maybe it was implied that he gave her one. Just because we didn't see it, doesn't mean it didn't happen. Just a thought.

LOVED the season premiere and all the story lines. I can't wait to find out what's happening with the new neighbours.

I could totally relate to Lynette when she told Tom "Remember when I had a 104 degree fever and still took the kids trick-or-treating?" implying it would take more that an injured back to stop her.

Bree dealing with the mother in law reminds me of my mother in law. When my husband died the first thing she said to me was, "What are we going to do with you? You are too darn stubborn!" Then she was all fussed up when we went to get the headstone.

All I heard my husband saying was Be the better person. Ugh.

Question though, Are Paul and Zach missing, or something? Mike did say Zach was dead, didn't he, when he got the call? I missed the morgue scene, so I was confused about why Susan was talking like Zach was alive??

I'm having a hard time believing Rex is dead also. Except I'm not sure how he could fake it in the casket?

They went to the morgue and it wasn't Zach. When Susan pushed Zach out of the way from shooting Mike Zach ran out of the house. So I guess he is missing.

Loved the show last night, and agree that Marcia Cross is awesome! She just plays that role so well. The funeral scene was way too funny. I kept saying to myself, she is going to change that tie! lol

Not sure if Rex is really dead or not. Wouldn't be surprised if he faked his own death, but thought the make up they used in the scene was very realistic! Creepy, actually!

As for the mysterious person in the basement.. the young boy told Bree's daughter that his father had died too. Then his 'mother' called him on it after they left.. so if his father isn't really dead, where is he? Hmmm? Very puzzling!

Sad that Zach is Mike's son.. don't like that kid! Would like to see Mike and Susan work out.

I, too, thought the person in the basement would be a totally new person. However, someone on here previously mentioned that if it was a new person then why couldn't they have shown us the face, and I think that's a great point! If it was a stranger they could have shown the face, and we would still be doing the same thing, who is it? why are they there? etc... I'm thinking the reason we only got to see the hand was because it's someone we 'know.'

New neighbor plays organ at Rex's funeral as Bree asked her to. New neighbor and son Matthew are hiding someone locked up in their basement. The last scene shows them taking a meal tray down to locked up person with a red rose on tray-that new neighbor keeps referring to. We see a hand with a shackle on it reach up to tray., Looked like black hand to me.

I hate this story line, you hear to many sick people out their that chain their kids up and don't feed them, they didn't need to go with this story line. Sorry, just my opinion

Bree lost it when the grandmother gave her grandson the porno magazine. She said she found it and kept it. She then gave it to Bree's son. They showed him all excited about it. Are we suppose to assume that he is not gay anymore and he was just experimenting. Also the boy in the morgue did look like boy Bree's son was making out with in the pool. I noticed that right away. So maybe they are going to change that story too.

I noticed that Mike told Susan that he did not kill Paul like he intended to but he never said what he did with him? I hope they tell us in the next episode because that will bother me.

At the end of last season when they called Bree to tell her Rex was dead my first thought was he is faking it because of the conversation he had with the other Doctor in the scene right before that. I still can't figure out how it could be fake with his body lying in the casket...maybe the body was fake???

I'm with a few others here. I am suspicious about their relationship. I am not certain that he is her son. And that quote about the hymns stood out for me because, she sounds southern and I'm thinking that if she was talking to her son she would say "mama's favorite" I think she said "your grandma's favorite"

Or maybe, I've been reading the Lost threads too long and everything is a conspiracy.
