Could it be Rex in the basement? Didn't Bree serve him meals on a tray with a rose a time or two?
Why would they have Rex? Not that I'm doubting it b/c on DH, ANYTHING can happen!!
I agree that the rose on the tray was a "very Bree" thing to do. However, I am curious why it might be Rex in the basement?! I am not saying this to be mean or nasty -- but trying to understand why/what motive could they have for keeping Rex chained up in the basement?! IE: Do you think that maybe he botched a surgery on Betty Applewhite's (Alfrie Woodard) husband/mother/family member? Maybe Rex knows some deep secret about their family or he's blackmailing them!? I just wonder why people might think it's Rex in the basement?! Would love to know why those in the "Rex is in the basement" boat feel this way!!!
I def. thought it was Rex (as opposed to a wax dummy) in the coffin. Unless someone did a face transplant and put Rex's face on someone else's body?! Had they "cremated" Rex, I could def. see that maybe he "made arrangements" w/someone in the hospital to "skip out of town" and start a new life or could have been kidnapped by Betty Applewhite.
I also agree that Betty and her son seem a bit "too close" for mother/son. Esp. the scene on the porch!!! Prob. played that way on purpose ... to put that thought in our mind. B/c if you think of the scene at the piano, she was very "oh, this reminds me of your Grandma" and mom-ish. However, maybe she just likes 'em young and has this charade that he's her son so she won't raise eyebrows!?
BTW - I think Gabreille's DNA paperwork was phony. I think she just slapped something together to appease Carlos. I found it funny that, when talking to Carlos about the affair, she said "It's not like I murdered anyone!" Uh -- came pretty close to it w/Mama Seles!
I was completely hysterical when Bree was walking through the church, deliberately looking at every man's tie ... then asked Tom for his, propped up Rex's bod in the coffin and proceeded to whip off his tie and replace it w/Tom's. I was hysterical!!! I mean, it was such a "Bree" thing to do!!!!
