hey jude... very cool cake.

They did a great job. It is nice to see all these Halloween looking cakes right around Halloween time, It give us all some great ideas to choose from.

THANKS :thumbsup2

Need some advice please. We are going in 2 weeks with a party of 6 includeing Asher turing 4 and Reese turning 9 1 day apart.

We are having dinner at CM for Reese on the 28 and Breakfast with Stitch at polly for Asher on the 29th. They both picked where they wanted to go.

I would like to order a cake for both (don't feel I can order for one and not the other) but not sure they do cakes at breakfast? I would order it for breakfast why not?? Anyone know if it is possible.

Absolutely!!! Hope you all have a wonderful Birthday Vacation!!!!! We leave the 16th for ours and will be celebrating my dads birthday on the 22nd and my daughters on the 23rd!!! :cool1: We can't wait!!!

If anyone has worked with Jessi at CM, can you please shoot me a PM so I can confirm the email addy I have for Jessi?

I've read everyone saying she gets back quickly, but I emailed on Tuesday morning and have not heard back. I didn't get a bounce-back, though. But, it'd be great if someone can confirm the email I have!

Okay I'm trying again. :)

This was from 1900 Park Fare on August 27.
Ordered from Pat, $115, chocolate cake with strawberry and custard filling.
It was REALLY good!

Just ordered my DD's cake for our dinner @ HDDR. I was not able to order anything custom. Just a standard chocolate cake w/ chocolate filling and white buttercrem icing. I asked for at least some pink on it. I was quoted $45. I hope it turns out good.

I emailed Jessi on Monday, and I received a reponse (from Brian) yesterday, so hang tight. If the email didn't bounce back to you, it's correct.

It was 6". We got it on our first night and picked at it during the week. Our family of four managed to eat about a third of it.

That's exactly the kind of cake I was looking to get (without the topper). It will just be my fiance and I so it will be interesting to see how much of it we're able to finish. :goodvibes

I'll give the GF bakery a call directly. I don't think the V&A staff know this is what I wanted.

Thanks again for posting :)

I'm starting to worry now. I am supposed to get the chocolate Tink statue but they told me it had to be an 8in cake and they are only charging me $70. I getting it at The Wave next week. I'm sure Brian will make it gorgeous, but I hope we get what I want. I'm not picky but the difference in the cakes is really strange.

i'm so excited! i just got off the phone with pat about two hrs ago. i called her this afternoon and left a message and she got back to me that quickly. she was great to talk to. i told her it was our tenth wedding anniversary and suggested an anniversary cake they could do up, or a funky one...i then put forth the camo cake a pp posted on here that was done at boma, with a small mr and mrs potato head on it, it took some searching on her behalf to find mrs potato head, but she did it! 61 dollars for a custom 6 inch with fondant. she said this would be a first for them at the gf, and she was very excited to be doing it. i was only give the choice of chocolate or vanilla cake and butter cream, chocolate butter cream or dark chocoalte butter cream for underneath. i wanted marble and buttercream, but settledd for chocolate and buttercream....can't wait!!!

since it's a surprise for hubby i had to hide in the bathroom to talk to her with the fan blowing and pretend it was a friend away in maine who "found bargains" at the outlets for the kids! lol

Funny you mention that. Are you getting your tink statue painted? I had wanted it painted to look like tink, not just white. Pat said that would cost another $35, but I said that would be okay. I was expecting the paint to be a little more obvious I guess. She is in a sparkling sort of glitter green dress. It is barely noticeable in the pictures. If I was to order the same cake over again, I would either be more specific in how I wanted her painted or I would skip the painting.

Although my daughter did love her. She is in our fridge at home now. When I unpacked her one of the wings had cracked off. I broke the news to my daughter, who instead of being sad excitedly said "So does this mean I can finally eat it?" :lmao:

:lmao: Sounds like something my dd would say. I did ask if it would be painted as I didn't want plain and was told they have a lady that hand paints them. Maybe they forgot to quote me for that and explains the price difference. Oh well, I am sure it will be gorgeous either way. DD will be happy.

Once again for anyone at The Wave on 9/22 we have a 6pm reservation so sometime after that if you see us with the cake, come on over and have a piece. No way could we eat all of that and we leave the next day.

the pink tink cake is lovely. the other (green) one back in the thread is also terrific. i hope to get one of those someday.:goodvibes

i was interested to find out that you could get something that special on a 6 inch cake! ::yes::thats a good deal. i thought those had to be 10 inch......
