I’m thinking about a May trip and considering using a ton of points to book a one bedroom at the Polynesian tower and having most meals in the villa except 1-2 character meals or booking a Polynesian (regular- not tower) studio and buying the dining plan. Our kids will be 5.5, 3, and 7 months. The overall cost is almost the same because I could sell the extra points it would take to get a one bedroom to instead buy a dining plan or go towards dining out. The extra space in a 1 bedroom with a baby would be nice but the studio does have that 2nd bathroom space for a pack n play for quiet naps etc. and seems doable too. Which would you choose?
Other thoughts are a 1 bedroom cabin at Fort Wilderness would be similar points to a Poly studio with the kitchen and extra space but we would need a golf cart and loading a golf cart with a double stroller and 5 passengers isn't easy to deal with. We stay at AKL often already because my parents own DVC there and not really interested in other cheaper 1 bedrooms like Saratoga/ OKW. Could consider 1 bedrooms at Beach Club, Wilderness Lodge, or even Vero Beach that are a little less points.
