We had a cake 2 weeks ago at 1900 Park Far cost $115.
Chocolate with strawberry and custard filling - really good!
If I could figure out how to post a pic, I would!

I can't keep calling the cake hotline just to have them say the standard options. I really need a custom 6" birthday cake for DD5. We'll be eating at a CRT & GFC on her actual birthday & I've already made a request for the slipper at CRT but I want to change that to a real birthday cake.princess:

Can someone PM me the email of either Jessi or Brian at CR bakery,
or Pat at GF bakery
:worship: so I can work things out.

Please, pretty please:flower3:

Who is saying they don't deliver..the hotline, the MK bakery, other? If you want a custom cake at CRT that would be handled through the Contemporary Private Dining. I just got a call today from the Contemporary Private Dining to confirm my order for 9/15 for a custom 8" cake with Ariel at CRT.

I'm going in about week so I really need the email of either Brian or Pat...
I have my own idea of what I want & would like to talk to someone.

I called the cake hotline & choose CRT, they were less than friendly with my questions & everything asked was a No.

I can't leave a message to either Brian at CR or Pat at GF because I'm in Canada and I fear they won't call back.

any help, please :worship:

Have you tried to go through CR private dining (as PP suggested)? You may have more luck that way. There's probably a reason their email addresses aren't public knowledge, so I, personally, wouldn't feel comfortable giving it out to others.

On that note, though, I got my email from Brian today (after emailing Jessi on Monday...she was off, so PP who was wondering about how long to receive a response, it may be soon), and I was totally star struck! "Wow, Brian the magnificent is emailing me!!!" :rotfl: Yep, nerd alert here. I'm so ready to be in Disney!

Go to a site like Photobucket, set up an account, upload your photo and there will be button or text box with the IMG code. Copy that and paste into your DIS post to share the picture.

HTH.

Does anyone have any info on getting a cake, preferrably something customized, at either Mama Melrose's or AKV/AKL?

Thanks!!

Just called to order DD's B-day cake @ HDDR. I got an answering machine that said they only answer the phone from 4-12. I left a message and can't wait for someone to call me back.
I also ordered a slipper for DD @ CRT. No problems there. Was told they only offer the white one now. Just in case someone was hoping for the chocolate (which I was)!

We're also in Canada and Pat returned our call within a couple hours of us leaving the message.

I called the Cake Hotline and like another poster, they kept telling me no for everything! They told me my only options were chocolate and vanilla cake with either flowers or sprinkles!!! UGH If I wanted that I would just get a cheapo cake at my resort!! LOL

I called today to order a birthday cake on the day we're at Victoria & Albert's. The cake they described to me sounded like it was the regular celebration cake that you can get at any of the other restaurants - $30, 6", comes in chocolate or vanilla. They said I could add a screen print of a character onto the cake for an extra $5.

I think I may give the GF bakery a call myself and see what they say. I got the feeling that the person I spoke to wasn't too thrilled about the idea of the cake. They said that the meal is a lot food - I know this because I've eaten there before. But what's a birthday without cake? What a downer...

You know I am sitting here on the fence about ordering a cake for our anniversary in two weeks. I have to say that when I read all this crappola that Disney gives you in ordering a cake, it really makes me just want to forget it entirely.

I am absolutely amazed that you not only get the run around, all completely different prices and a whole bunch of flack.

Are they just nuts and dont realize what a cash outlet this actually is. I mean there are people willing to drop ridiculous prices on CAKE just to create a magical moment for their families, and here Disney is giving people a hard time about doing that. WOW!

Ok I am off my rant now... Just seems so UN Disney like :sad2:

Sleeping Beauty Cake

Has anyone done a sleeping Beauty cake? My little girl will be 10 while we are there this trip and we are thinking about getting her a custom 8 inch cake for our dinner with the grandparents at Jiko's.

Right now I know it has to be pink! and a Sleeping Beauty theme. She has always loved her. Maybe something with the fairies on it? Or some rose for Brier Rose? Or maybe SB's crown in a bed of pretty flowers..

Any ideas would be great!

I LOVE that Minnie cake and that Tink cake in the picture thread they are to die for!!!!!

I have already talked to Chwf Tony at AKL and he can even make the cake gluten free for my little girl since she has celiac's so it is so special that she can actually have a cake some where other then one mommy has made!

It is so weird to me how different people are getting different answers from the cake hotline. I didn't get the runaround that a lot of others are getting. I just got told that ia needed to talk to Jessi. I wonder if it is the volume of orders ther are getting with the what will you celebrate bit?

You guys have been great, answering all my questions! I'm tossed on what to do, I've been rolling this around my head for weeks. I am coming in on a Sunday in November with 3 of my cousins. DH's and kids are staying home! :cool1:
This is their first time as my guests. We are staying in AKV Kidani. Originally I was worried about my plans, due to taking car service from airport and stopping for groceries, which would put a serious dent in our first day itinerary timewise. However, now my cousin who lives in FLA is going to the grocery store beforehand and picking us up at the airport, so it'll save alot of time.

We are arriving at 12:30 in MCO. Going straight to the resort to check in. We have the Wanyama Safari Tour booked and need to be at AK Lodge at 3:45. We do have dining reservations at Sanaa for 2 pm. I know it's a crunch and I know we won't be able to have a cake at the lunch table because we won't have time to take it back to the room and I have to leave room for the fact that we may not even make the lunch reservation.....I am thinking of having as small a cake as possible, that can be decorated.

Will the small mad hatter be huge? Anyone know how many it feeds? My main question is this...I know we cannot have the cake delivered to the room until after a room has actually been assigned, but if I check us in online, and personally stop at the check in desk as soon as we arrive, eat at Sanaa (or Mara if it's too close to our Wanyama check in time), and NOT go to the room til after the tour, since we would be officially checked in will they deliver the cake to our room even if we aren't there, (since we'll be on the tour)and will they only deliver it to the room AFTER the 4 pm check in time to guarantee the room is ready? Am I making any sense? I really want to do this, but it just seems like its not going to work out:confused3
any help is appreciated.

I believe once you are checked in, they will deliver it to your room on the day you request.

However, I believe the Mad Hatter cake is only made at the GF.

Just back from WDW and I ordered a Cinderalla themed celebration cake from the GF at the 1900 Park Faire for dinner. It was perfect. I really only told them to make it Cinderella themed. I will post pics later. Very cute though and all of the characters commented on the cake. It was a wonderful experience! I got a round 8in cake with chocolate cake and dark chocolate mousse, blue icing, there was a stand up Cinderella and a white chocolate shoe with truffles....yummy!!!!!

For anyone questioning getting a cake or not....go ahead and do it! We also got a Princess treasure chest cake earlier in the day and that was worth it as well!
