We are eating at 1900 Park Fare. This cake is only available for restaurants at the Grand Floridian i believe

I'm joining this thread even though we aren't visiting WDW until December. :) Has anyone gotten a Christmas/holiday themed cake before? Can I use the TIW discount on one of these cakes? Thanks!

Please help me with my son's birthday cake.

Has anyone seen a picture of a Chip and Dale cake? I have tried to search the threads but either I'm dumb or there's nothing there.

Also, we are staying at the Beach Club in August - what are the chances that I could get a 10" white cake, custard n strawberry filling or barvian cream n strawberry filling either one with cream frosting?

Has anyone else done these combos through Beach Club or Boardwalk before?

I would greatly appreciate the help! Thank you!

This is called the "Anniversary Cake" and was ordered from the cake hotline.
It was made at the Grand Floridian Bakery for Dinner at Narcoossees.

This cake was customized as a surprise for my Husband on our anniversary last year.
(he never got to try our Wedding cake, so I had them re-create the flavor)

It is 4 layers (enough for 4 people)
The flavor was Chocolate cake with Strawberry Mousse filling (exactly what he didn't get to try from the wedding)

All total including presentation, $70.
AND I got to keep the plate! I was VERY pleased! :thumbsup2

That's a beautiful cake!! :)

Did you bring the chocolate statue home or eat it there? We had a Mickey statue one year and it made it home.

When did you have this cake? That is a pretty good price.

Congrats on an amazing cake. :lovestruc

That is beautiful, and a great price. You can tell how the "celebrate" theme has raised the price big time, since anything with fondant is now $140 min...... so at least double this price if not more.

Here's our cake from 1900PF. We went end of May. I spoke with Pat about 10 days before, and told her I wanted the Mad Hatter cake. We asked for Figment colors, and left the rest to the cake decorators. We ordered white cake, milk chocolate mousse filling, and white buttercream. Personally, I absolutely love buttercream, and the icing on this cake is some of the best I've ever had. The cake was a little dry, but we didn't cut into it until 2 days later, so that wasn't unexpected. We didn't want to cut it at the restaurant. We were staying at OKW, and wanted to take it with us back to the room. The restaurant manager and waiter both took great care to box it up so we could transport it safely. We couldn't have been more pleased with the way it turned out. The total cost of $160 was added to our dinner bill.
P.S. The white chocolate Figment cutout was pretty good also.

I ordered a Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Buttercream Icing at Chef Mickey's to celebrate DS & DD birthdays. The cake was really cute and the kids LOVED it!! The taste was ok - just your regular supermarket bakery tasting cake. The icing was more like whipped topping to me than buttercream. It was a $32 + tip. Here are some pics...

Oh WOW, that is AMAZING!

I'll bite, why didn't he get to eat the cake at the wedding?

I'm not the OP, but I do know it is quite common for the bride and/or groom to miss out on wedding cake and sometimes even the entire meal because they spend the whole reception circulating among their guests, dancing, tossing things, etc.

But maybe chepic's story is juicier than that... :rotfl:

So I still haven't made up my mind what to order, but did decide to have it delivered to the room.

Wondering if anyone has had a Red Velvet Cake w/Cream Cheese Frosting made or know if GF would make that type?

Since that is mainly the only type of cake we have ever had, I am not quite sure what buttercream tastes like :confused3 and don't think I would want that. Is butter cream the same that is on those sheetcakes from grocery store bakery's?

I really need to come up with a concept cake and make the call....

Can you order a cake with Dumbo on it?

If so, where can you order it from while we stay on property at
WDW?

If anyone has pictures of cakes that have been ordered at Disney, please post the.

I took it as they had a few different flavors and that was the only one he didn't try. :confused3;)

Either way the cake is gorgeous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All of the cakes are awesome in this thread! Can't wait until March so I can order one for my kids! :goodvibes

This is a free cupcake that was given to my son for his birthday at the Crystal Palace in January 2008. I didn't taste it, but my son was pleased that they brought this out to him with a candle. He also got a cute birthday card signed by Pooh, Piglet, Tigger & Eeyore!

I think it would best to celebrate my dd5 birthday during lunch at MK. I don't want to drag around a cake though for the rest of the afternoon. Are they still doing the complimentary cupcakes at TS restaurants?

I only had one bite of my wedding cake. The original that was shoved in my mouth by the hubby. The plate got put on the table for me, I never got to it and the servers cleared the table before I knew it was gone.

Funny that the OP is getting cake for hubby as that's what my husband did for me once we got to Jamaica. We had a little cake delivered to the room, a mini wedding cake.

I am sure he will love the idea. I did. :thumbsup2
